When we went, it was SO dang beautiful. Unfortunately, I think we'll have to plan a time to go back & really see it for what it is. The smoke in the air was so thick that it blocked a lot of the beautiful views. But STILL a gorgeous location. You are so right.
I follow a RUclipsr channel Kelly Hayes hikes. The CDT trail goes right through Yellowstone and they came out right where the sign is where you are at the beginning of the video and that TP right there, they slept in it overnight 😂! They needed a shelter for the night because of the weather and it just came in handy at the right time!!!
For coats, get a space bag. Stuff them and suck out the air. 👍🏼 Well hike while you’re young, it doesn’t get any easier 😂 Big fluffy cows 😂 they definitely rule the roads. Yellowstone is definitely on my list
PERFECT IDEA! We will do that! LOL, we typically LOVE a good hike. Timing just was NOT on our side that day so we were a little bummed lol. However, that waterfall was SO worth it. Stunning. YES we were loving the big fluffy cows everywhere, even though they stopped traffic. lol. You are going to LOVE it!
I mounted my Starlink on my roof with a magnet mount. This will let me take it off if I needed to get better service. By mounting it on the roof, I can have cell service while driving.

Our builder was going to put it up there for us, permanently mounted - but we were worried if we were boondocking underneath of a tree or something, that we wouldn't get service so we opted for the portable option. BUT THIS would be perfect...best of both worlds. Thank you! Big help!
I've lived in North central Montana at one time, yet I've never been there. I don't know if you two are aware that there's a volcano under the surface. A very large caldera of lava. (One of the largest, TBH.) Yet the land that moves over it is too high to allow it to erupt. I don't want to depress you!! But it is absolutely beautiful, there. 13:21 got quite a storm developing, there. Believe me, I've seen it worse than that. My passion is actually severe weather. I've heavily studied it. 37:06 OMG... 🤯🤯🤯
That is actually crazy...a really cool fact to know! Love that you're into severe weather - it truly is amazing what this world is capable of. Ry and I, though it makes us nervous sometimes, are always SUPER into any crazy weather conditions or unexplained happenings. Like Ry said, though...as long as it doesn't affect us! lol.

Oh my goodness, you are just going to LOVE it. We were actually there in early September. It's just such a huge video (we have a two-parter coming) which is why it got pushed back for editing/posting lol. It felt like the perfect time to be there so you should have a great time for fall!
Fun fact, crows are extremely intelligent and have a vocabulary of at least 500 words. A flock of them is called a murder. When one of their fellow crows passes away they actually have a funeral for it.
My grandfather has several crows that were born in a tree in the yard, now they're grown, and still love there, they're so used to humans that they will walk right up to you, they walk around the yard during family gatherings, they really are part of the family

Yellowstone is amazing however Grand Tetons is on another level….my happy place.

I think the big black bird was a raven, not a crow. Very similar but the raven has a bigger, fat beak.
