I'm wearing a 76 Camo dial Viscount as I'm watching this. My first watch was a mid 70 Timex kids watch with a football player on the dial. My Grand mother bought it at K-Mart. Great video.
I also am a fan of casio watches as well they are excellent watches i prefer the easy reader type, but i use digital as a sporty watch,I would rather wear the easy readers type any day of the week i give them a thumbs up 💯👍
I have the same watch only mine is with the expansion bracelet. Been rocking it for almost 2yrs and couldn’t be happier. This watch is a work horse and is built to last. As a factory worker I need something not only durable but also look good. I wear this beauty everyday all day even when I sleep. Only comes off when I shower. Again Timex knocked it out of the park with this one😎
I love timex watch. I have this easy reader model. The arabic number is so nice and the white background really good color choice for the watch...Timex forever!
My first watch was a Timex from the late 80s. It was a mechanical, manual wind with a white dial and a black leather strap. Very similar design language as the easy reader here, except much much smaller diameter case. If memory serves it was small even on my wrist as a child. I wish I still had it, or even knew the reference. Great video as always.
Good video but there's one thing no one ever mentions. They call this an easy reader because it has massive numerals so elderly people can read the time. But the date complication isn't that easy to read after you get past 50. Why didn't they scale it up to match the numerals? Or at least make it as big as the one on my Seiko 5? Is 35 mm too small to accomodate a date wheel with bigger characters? It isn't much smaller than my Seiko 5.
I have the Timex Weekender , i bought it in 2015 and still has the same battery , although the indiglo has nearly vanished . Timex certainly are good value for money .
I own that watch, it is truly amazing, i like the way the indiglo works on it plus the date of the month,i also have the gold one with the black belt band they are awesome and classic watches💯👍
My first watch was a Timex too. A little diver made in 1975, a present from my parents. Today, I have Timex automatic watch with a seagull tourbillion.😀
Thanks for taking the comment in the proper spirit..... the sound of "216" being said just struck me funny and I had to check the packaging of a set of button batteries I had around.....but anyway....good report and one that is largely true as to how we use watches. For most of us this watch is all we "need", but with the insane number and styles of watches around, and the huge price disparity within that range....we seem not to buy on a "need" basis anyway.... but maybe for jewelry affect....or maybe just pride of ownership of a well-made mechanism.... or whatnot. No doubt I "fall for this" trap too !!! .......
My grandma had one like this. It always makes me think of her and bring back memories to simpler things and times.
That’s a very sweet and sentimental memory of your grandmother ❤

I have the Timex Easy Reader Signature Edition. I really it, I'll probably wear it forever.
Hello, is there a lot of noise when the watch is running?

That's a great story, one that I think many share

Very cool!
Cheers...good report. Minor point....twice you called out the battery as size "216"..... proper tag is "2016".
