I’d found out about this song through watching Trailer for the mobile phone game, Monument Valley. This song have mysterious rhythm vibe to it and the game also have this vast mysterious empty buildings and petroglyphs on the walls that depicting stories of once a civilised society so that why I think this song fits so well with the game.
This song to this day is beautiful I remember hearing it as a child like 13/12 or so and i am currently 20, i did just spend 20 minutes thinking about what the name of this song was because i wanted to revisit the video that touched me so much. Honestly, still moves me just as much here today, thank you. This song inspired me at some of my lowest points thank you.
this song always had this magical ability to make me cry almost instantly whenever i hear it for whatever reason. I find myself coming back to this song, to this music video, and to these exact same comments for the past 8 years. I don't know why, but I'll continue doing it for as long as I live.
i keep revisiting this song whenever im at my lowest, don't know what it is about the song or video, but i still remember my first time sobbing over it when i heard it on a monument valley ad. to this day it brings those same emotions back
@@supernuke7990Same, I found this song through watching Trailer for Monument Valley and since than was hooked. I found this so be calming but at the same time make believe I can achieve things that I feel can’t and also there is little bit of mystique vibe surrounding this music than I found hardly to explain but I love it.
This song has always been the song of hope and positivity and light and love to me. I found it 6 years ago and keep coming back to it. It is the voice of inspiration and love for me and inspires me to be my childhood and truest self. I’m currently staring at up a wall of stars with my star projector with this song because it makes me feel magical. :’)
The leaves could also be those he loves. Or those who loved him. He is surrounded by them. They envelop him in the end. The video may be about a sense of belonging. The butterfly may just be there to guide him to his true home
I just had to watch this two times in a row. Amazing feel with the art coupled with the music. I hope he makes one like this for the music box song (I believe it is called "La Boite Musique?)! I can just see that one on my head!
You're right, and the way the strange butterfly goes back into the world that the boy is from could only mean he's going to lure more victims... where do you think all of those leaves on the ground are from?
I think it's the boy's escape from reality. As he fades from the world around him he is consumed by the wonder of hit mind. The butterfly represents his spirit and how in the end, he returns back to his own world.
Okay, so here is what I think is going on in this video: The butterfly thing is searching that nasty broken world for people. Because if you notice there was a weird statue at 0:17. Maybe that's the boy (or at possibly his body, and his spirit is roaming around). The butterfly thing brings him back to life, and lures him to a better place (the sunny forest) and in the end, turns him into leaves. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, sure. But what if the butterfly thing is just making him into a part of that sunny forest? And then at the end, (after the boy turns to leaves) the butterfly heads back out to that destroyed world, I would assume to find more people.
Wow this video can easily be interpreted the other way as much darker, as the leaf butterfly could be leading many children into the leaf world where they are consumed by the leaves, creating an endless cycle.
I always cry after I listen to this song and I just don't know why maybe it's because I heard it in the past when I didn't remember much and life was easy I guess and this song reminds of the past but tbh I don't know why this song gives me that feeling to just let my tears out
the video actually tells of a story as a boy who lost everything due to human corruption and self greed creating a world that was a shell of it's former-self but the butterfly sort of acts like a guide in this ruined world leading the unfortunate souls that were left behind into a new place where it's easier to live and I'd like to believe that the world that the story took place in is exactly a past world and that butterfly was created to warn the new world (earth) and save it from past mistakes and notice how the butterfly takes the boy in a building where there's trees and leaves when from the outside of the building it's just ruins this is because the butterfly is indeed a guide helping lost souls and just proves everything I just said but hey that's a theory A MUSIC VIDEO THEORY

It also has a similar one to Tycho's "Coastal Brake." Both are absolutely fabulous :)
AAAAA-Mazing
Not sure, I was wondering the same thing. It is still beautiful though!
Brilliant! I notice it has a similar melody/musical structure to Team Me's 'Daggers'

I always cry after I listen to this song and I just don't know why maybe it's because I heard it in the past when I didn't remember much and life was easy I guess and this song reminds of the past but tbh I don't know why this song gives me that feeling to just let my tears out

Why was that question marked?
i love this song so much i hear it at least once a week it makes me feel like everything is ok, can somebody tell me the meaning of the video.
the video actually tells of a story as a boy who lost everything due to human corruption and self greed creating a world that was a shell of it's former-self but the butterfly sort of acts like a guide in this ruined world leading the unfortunate souls that were left behind into a new place where it's easier to live and I'd like to believe that the world that the story took place in is exactly a past world and that butterfly was created to warn the new world (earth) and save it from past mistakes and notice how the butterfly takes the boy in a building where there's trees and leaves when from the outside of the building it's just ruins this is because the butterfly is indeed a guide helping lost souls and just proves everything I just said but hey that's a theory A MUSIC VIDEO THEORY
xD wow
I know this probably isn't the meaning of the song but I think this video makes a beautiful analogy for euthanasia.
Nathan Cuttica yes, it's pretty lovely :-)
Peexi *_*
Who else is living on one dollar?
