@@jacobbuchanan9438 I wish I could explain it to you. Kanye had one of the greatest runs in hip hop history. One of (if not the only) huge rapper at his time who wasn't trying to be a thug. Almost single handedly got everyone switching from tall tees to polos and stuff. I mean the man had folks wearing those weird glasses that were shades and stuff. His influence was huge but the music is timeless. If you listen to this and early lupe at the same time you should get it. Kanye was even louder back then it's just that people agreed with him back then and he made better music.
@@dmaster2 its crazy that kanyes music is still impacting people. I have found a lot of self confidence in my self listening to kanye and at this age for me you are always being judged and told you can not accomplish what you desire and what i have learned from him is that you can do anything all it takes is confidence and the ability to not care about peoples perspective on you. Its so sad that most of my generation will never be able to hear kanyes music because they hear that he is crazy from the media. when that man dies the world will be shaken and then people will find his music again and release that he changed hip hop and lives.

See, what I want so much should never hurt this bad
Never did this before, that's what the virgin says
We've been generally warned, that's what the surgeon says
God, talk to me now, this is an emergency
And my niggas said I shouldn't let it worry me
I need to focus on the girls we getting currently
But I been thinking and it got me back to sinking
And this relationship, it even got me back to drinking
Now this Hennessy, uh, it's gonna be the death of me
And I always thought that you having my child was our destiny
But I can't even vibe with you sexually
'Cause every time that I'd try, you would question me
Saying, "You fucking them girls, disrespecting me
You don't see how your lies is affecting me?
You don't see how our life was supposed to be?
And I never let a nigga get that close to me
And you ain't cracked up to what you were supposed to be
You always gone, you always be where them hoes will be"
And this the first time she ever spilled her soul to me
[John Mayer and Kanye West:]
Bittersweet (I fucked up and I know it, G)
You're gonna be the death of me (I guess it's bittersweet poetry)
I don't want you, but I need you
I love you and hate you at the very same time
Bittersweet

@@sean-nk3wp 3 of the greatest songs of the year is featured on Donda (hurricane,24,moon). Great production, amazing features but Ye needs a ghostwriter. He needs to get back cool with madlib and GLC. Overall pretty good album but lacks in replay value.
if drunk and hot girls got replaced by this graduation would be one of the greatest albums of all time

Did you do it?
he definitely did not @@mayeyo185
Did u do it
why we don't have this masterpiece on spotify...
it was originally only on the Japanese version, so it never came out i Europe/US.
it didn’t fit the tone of graduation
@@noonehere2869 it kinda does tho
bruh i was literally lookin for it just now
@@noonehere2869 for me it has that innocent sound that graduation has
this feels like celebration's graduation equivalent. the beats have such a similar tone. the song's named well; it feels bittersweet.
good night made it to spotify pray that this makes it too
people in the UK have had Good Night since Spotify released and this song is in Japan right?
@@rbntlly right, this was a japan exclusive, but lets hope it gets on the us version too, also for some reason spotify says graduation came out in 2010 since good night has been added
Kanye created this song, and said "Yeah I'm gonna put 'Drunk and Hot girls' on the album instead."
I’m so depressed this song never released, John Mayer’s vocals are perfect.
Thank you for giving JM credit. He produced, played guitar, vocals, keyboard, wrote half the lyrics, and Kanye give him credit for writing the hook
It's not on Spotify but, if you get a physical copy it should have it on there as a Japan bonus track.
@@Snowride1080 Oh, you were in the studio?
@@maka8551 Nope, but I’ve watched a few videos where Kanye & John Mayer discuss the track.

I remember a classmate wanting to borrow my Zune just to listen to this song. I took a listen and realized why. Good ole days.
what's a zune?

bro i wish kanye still had cute production like this
masterpiece. lyrically, beat wise
Bittersweeeet, you're gonna be the death of meee. Beautiful Melody too, crazy how this relatively unknown Ye track is easily one of his best
Spent $70 on a graduation vinyl only released in the Netherlands just to have this song on it

I come every year to praise this song. Wish it was on streaming services in the US.

This is great. I had a gf who I did not strike because I refused to go to jail. This song almost recounts that relationship. FAMILY COURT barred her from my apartment. I don't want her and learned over time I didn't need her. Bittersweet is my saliva, however.
KANYE STAY STRONG.
this song helped me through 2 break ups but gotta make it a 3rd now

Its been 14 years and i still bump this song like it just came out
literally kanye

Funny I could never find this song on RUclips and now all of a sudden it’s available. Grateful .
It has been on RUclips for 14 years

The beat just reminds me of times where life was simple
Back in 2004, Kanye worked this song with Jon Brion & John Mayer for Late Registration. Because of the landscape of this song, it was moved to Graduation. I believe this song wasn’t on the album but added on the bonus tracks, it’s because of sample clearance
I'm a huge Kanye fan but how did I miss this song? Never heard of it or even the title. This is so bittersweet for me. Man Kanye is the best of all time
G-man Einstein Einstein me too man. It’s a Japanese exclusive bonus track. “Goodnight” is the other bonus track on Graduation. I also just discovered a UK Exclusive bonus song on Late Registration called “We Can Make It Better”. Definitely worth a listen
@@juliangenova awesome. This song and white dress are just amazing
I think the most brilliant thing about this song and its composition is how PERFECTLY the musical instruments, melody & harmony & so on encapsulate a "bittersweet" feeling

Covid 2020 fu%k you. I was trying everything I could to keep my fiance and family together from previous stress. After this year it completely shattered it and they are now gone. Why is this planet not appreciative enough of these amazing versions of hiphop
Still to this day I can listen to this song over and over again! Definitely my fave!! 2bad this one isnt on spotify..
One of my favorite Kanye Song's! Woke up to this in my head!

I am stunned that this is a 15 year old video. I love you Kanye. I can’t believe I still find new stuff from him this old but god damnit I love this man. I hope you’re still with us Ye and they didn’t actually clone you 😢 Love you Ye
late registration, college dropout, and graduation are by far his best. 808's and MBTWF were still good albums for sure, but his old soul/rap was top notch
wish he'd go back to it instead of this go hard bullshit just because it's what this new gen wants.
***** this gen hated yeezus as far as I know
I think all of his albums are really good in their own ways, Yeezus does have a few weak songs but damn is it good live.
Aidan Di Palma I THOUGHT THE SAME. until I went to see the tour. that album is different then all the bullshit on the radio. so at first glance its hard to appreciate it. its ahead of its time...production wise. beats are not even close to anything u hear on the radio. its a good thing, hip hop is getting bland
sidebar: I went to see yeezus in Brooklyn, MSG, AND PRUDENTIAL CENTER IN NEWARK! that's how good the show was. which made me love the album
Chris Marchese agreed. His first 3 albums >>>>>>god-tier status
almost forgot to listen to this today
The greatest artist of our generation and its so clear to see, this album is a masterwork, forever and always a ye fan

@@dmaster2 dude you commented this 12 years ago i turn 14 in 8 days, thats crazy. I cant imagine how it was to live in the era of kanye west before all this stupid drama, i just wanna know what it was like to experience his music when it first came out.
He rly got Chris Martin and John mayor on this album
