      I never played WFB so I’m kind of just judging it on it’s own merits but it seems a fun game and I’m a fan of the background lore.

    So awesome that you are giving Conquest a look again! I thought I recall that initially you weren’t a fan of some of the game mechanics. Regardless, so pumped that you are excited for it! Easily my favorite game!

      My only real experience was a demo game in 2018! I felt at the time that the rolling low felt that it was only there to be different and I also wasn’t particularly a fan of larger scale army games back then. Now the game is in version 2.0 and I’ve tried a lot more games since then. I like what I see now.

    Top quality interview - editing is great mate the effort really shows. Thank you very much for the kind shoutout too. Leo is always really captivating when he discussing conquest - watching him in other content was one of the things that convinced me to dive in in the first place! Cheers - Daryl.

    My son and I tried a demo of Conquest last summer and really enjoyed it. I'm more interested in First Blood due to the scale and ease of building multiple "armies" but my son liked LAoK as we already play a lot of skirmish games.
    Think with both being in 2.0 now, this may be the year to finally jump in and maybe go for both! 😄

    I have recently fallen in love with the old dominion, city states, and the upcoming sorcerer kings faction, my only wish was that there was also a... squad? scale skirmish game, since First Blood is still 20+ models easy. But then I realized that I already have several model agnostic games for that, and now I am trying really hard not to go full in on two armies all at once.

      Agnostic means you don't know

    • @BlackJackLegacy
      @BlackJackLegacy  Год назад

      Miniature agnostic is an accepted term for games systems that allow you to use any models you like.
      No idea why it became an accepted term (I’m not a huge fan of it as all games let you use any models you like) but here we are!

    Absolutely love the aesthetic of this game, I don't really play these mass battle games anymore, mostly stick to skirmish scale, but if I did this would be one id be considering.
    Speaking of mass battle games though, I still feel like there is a gap in the market for mass army battle at a much smaller miniature scale like gw did with epic 40k...would love to see a fantasy version of that. Huge dragons and other beasts towering over masses of foot soldiers... epic scale but at a much more affordable price.

    If I buy the 2 player set can I play forever without buying anything else?
    If I bought a 2 player set and a 1 player set for each Faction, how big of an army would that be?
    If I bought a 2 player set, in 5 years or less, would I need to buy new armies just to be able to play? Similar to magic the gathering?
    What do I need to buy to play Argument of kings and First blood?
    I've never played any game like this and don't know anyone who does but I'm really wanting to get into this. Thank you for any help.

    I'm looking for a fantasy game to move away from GW which I have pulled the plug on...especially after they binned most of my finished Stormcast miniatures. That and their forever changing the bloody rules and points every five goddamn minutes. Nothing more annoying buying a book just for it to be redundant weeks after coming out. This game looks very good...
