As a bass singer, (technically basso profundo if you’re pretentious) it’s really nice to hear some of my favorite songs in a range that’s reasonable for me to hit.
As a baritone, I totally fuckin' get that lol When I was younger my voice was actually deeper, and I gotta say I'm lucky I'm pushing my range a bit more these days, because I'm really sick of singing Cash and Ernie Ford lol
@@cubeofcuriosities Man if I don't get that. I usually sing stuff an octave or two below where it normally sits, which is nice for a party trick, but gets old pretty quick. And I've got a really wide range, A0 to C4 if I'm really pushing it at both ends, but for some reason every song on the planet is at least in tenor, and I've given up on a faithful recreation of anything originally sung by a woman.
@@Lodestone8 Oh I actually have a song of choice if you want a song sung by a woman specifically lol Crazy by Patsy Cline is my favorite song to show off my lower baritone range (and my somewhat feminine intonations when singing softly in certain keys) without trying too hard. It really does work an octave down! My range isn't particularly wide, I'd say my comfortable notes are between C4 and G2, although if I've already either fully warmed up or been singing for a while my E2 is actually strong and I can usually *hit* a high G (though not without intense support.)
I remember watching your BlackBoxWarrior cover. Theres a huge difference between this cover and that one mainly that you're not destroying your voice trying to hit the high notes or making comments that you regret doing it.

Your voice adds a really cool spin on the song, the same general vibes but I feel like you put a lot of fun emotion and accentuations on parts that Will doesn't, and that makes it its own really neat work. Thank you! To be honest, I don't do song covers very often, and this is one of the more listenable ones. The last Will Wood cover I did was entirely a joke about how hard it is to sing Will Wood songs. Most of my channel is just random stuff I choose impulsively to make, for better or worse, and that will probably include more and likely better karaoke/covers in the future. Just wanted to make sure you didn't end up too disappointed if you were looking for more of me singing without it being a meme
