Thank you, Jonathan. I found this talk to be deeply helpful, and also painful, as I have been uncovering my own attachment styles and where there has been or still is unhealthy attachment. Much appreciated the depth of research offered.

Complicated subject for me. Maybe because of trauma, tradition and so many other factors. I would be interested in a conversation about all that - re: is this samsaric existence and therefore the relationships within the samsara, are for the creation of more babies and such????.... Isn't it all part of dillusion and that there is a love that is and is unattached and 100% in the moment. The rest would be agreements etc- creating a life together... all part of survival - But very helpful to listen to your gentle voice and the teachings for us to look in and explore. Work in progress. Thank you! 🌺🙏💖 p.s. my formula for a healthy relationship has been 1 + 1 = 3. THAT to me is the formula for true love and non-attachment.... the 3rd would be the synergy of the connection. Easier said than done. That formula could apply to any relationship intimate or not. I would also be interested in the subject of freedom. 🤔 THAT is what I have been striving for in this life time. 🕊🌺☮

It's a complicated topic, isn't it? Interesting how freedom and love interplay. I have much to learn.

Well, this has made me think and gently coaxed me to dip an inquisitive toe into that pool (of somewhat muddied water!) of emotional baggage of love & relationships. I am so far off from finding the knowledge of impermanence a comfort.... I resist even thinking about it, let alone accepting it 😢
I love the notion that 'who I am, is how I show up in other people's lives'
Also, Rumi's wise words: "Do not seek love, simply seek to address the barriers to love" That makes so much sense.
Thank you as always Jonathan for another thought-provoking talk.
    Gill 🙏🤍✨️

The book Love in the Present Tense by Morrie Shechtman is highly insightful in how our childhood conditioning effect our relationships, highly recommend 🎉
