From what I know there's no difference in component setup to 7591. It should be the same. At least if we're talking the 2019 models of the 7590 and 7591.
What about size of the Vostro 7590 and Inspiron 7590, are they the same? I found informations that Vostro is 22,5mm high, and Inspirion 19,9mm. Is it possible? Thats noticable difference.
I have had some people mentioning size & weight differences. However I think it's clealy the same chassis + the same material which leads me to think size and weight should be the same regardless of what is specified... But I haven't been able to test personally!
Hi could you please update how much battery time (approx.) would a i5 9300 with 56whr and 1050 card give, also would I be able to do video editing. Thanks.
Since I have the 972wh with 1650 GPU it's hard for me to guess. I have 7-8 hours of moderate use. If I edit video I have about 5 hours. The 1050 is more than enough for video editing in FHD and short 4k clips. Get 16gb ram though if you wanna work on bigger projects.
@@w2best Ya I am upgrading it to 16Gb for sure, Also as per your observations I am expecting about 4-4.5 hour backup on normal use. Thank you for your response.
Is the 7590 really made from magnesium alloy? It feels like plastic to me. We should research and find a way to determine the material used to make the chassis.

Dell 7591 Query What kind of 2.5 inch Hard Drive will it fit? 1. HDD & SSHD or both 2. Which size thickness hard drive will it fit with. i.e. 7mm, 5mm etc. 3. what is triple storage expand-ability that is advertised by dell? 4. Will it can be upgraded by having two M.2 SSD and one HDD?
You're able to put 32gb Ram and with the three storage slots I guess you could push to somewhere around 24000gb with 3 eight TB drives. Would be quite cool. :P
So the only difference between all the models of vostro and inspiron having same configuration(keeping that in mind) that one is so called used by professionals Nd the other one is for home and is there any hidden features(like build quality, ventilation etc.)
DIFFERENT COLORS? Hello, thanks a lot for this video. It's super useful. On paper the Vostro 7590 and Inspiron 7590 are almost identical. I notice they may have different Cell configuration. But how about the looks? I'm under the impression the Inspiron comes in Abyss Black, whilst the Vostro comes in Urban Grey. Have you or anyone here actually seen both side to side? Are they the same?
Jezz man so dificult, i am between inspiron 7590, inspiron 2 in 1 7591 black edition, or Xps 15 7590 ... all 4k touchscreen, 16Gb Ram, i7 .. a bit of help please... is for photography (photoshop/lightroom) and programming in .NET
I'm choosing Inspiron every day because it has numeric keyboard extra ssd + is lighter than the other ones. XPS a little higher quality feel. 2 in 1 is a 2 in 1... You probably know if you need that...
You said to many times 7590 7591 and other number that I really didn't get anything lol. I saw the specs of both, Inspiron and vostro on Dell s website, and the vostro has better I7 processor and also a better Nvidia card, but, the Inspiron it's 4k and 2 in 1 and the vostro is full HD not 2 in1. So, which one you recommend better??
Just to be clear Inspiron has one 2 in 1 and one not 2 in 1! Vostro and Inspiron can both come with 4k and i7. I wouldn't get the 2 in 1 bc of worse spec but any of the other ones.
Excellent review..many thanks... In my country only 7591 available. Please tell me more details about the display panel... sRGB & NTSC values ? Should I get this laptop for photo editing ?
Depends on what model you get. FHD panel is 300n 72% ntsc. 4K panel is 500n 100% ntsc. I'm not a pro editor so I can't tell what requirements should be met.
I have made 30 videos about the Inspiron 7590 and besides the chassis being a different material they are exactly the same so you have a good 10+hours of content to watch. :P
The US version of Vostro 7590 is a bit different though (made of aluminum and weigh 1.85kg with 56Wh battery, maybe more close to inspiron 7591 mentioned). Sadly, we don't even have the light-weight inspiron 7590 available in the US. In fact, the US inspiron 7590 only exists in a 2-in-1 format.
Have you tried if it actually is aluminium? It doesn't look like that in pictures. I will haven't been able to confirm this. I find it super strange that the really good model of Inspiron 15 is not in the us... Only one model on Amazon and it's with 1050 only. So annoying.
Hi, a great review. Yours is the only comprehensive review I have seen on this Dell model. BTW, what's the time it takes for the laptop to boot till the sign in screen? Will it be faster with an i7 model of the dell 7591?
If you see my other videos that info is available there! For example my full review video of the 7590, but should be the same on 7591. I think there is no difference between i5 and i7 in startup times.
@@yatharthgupta5399 Yes that is true on a 56wh battery. That's why you need to get the big battery to have great battery life. I have 8-9 hours on mine. :)
Hey, thanks for the video. Hoe about the display in 7590? How good is it & how much rgb & ntsc coverage does it have? How do you feel about the quality of hinge? Any build quality complaints or doubts you have? I'm confused between this & Lenovo s540
Display is good. I have the matte which is 300nits and 72%ntsc. The 4k is 500nits glossy. I find the hinge really sturdy. I showcased it in my full review! :) Imo is a no brainer since the Lenovo lacks tb3 and has a smaller battery. :)
Thanks Man. The one available in my County is 7591. Which has much smaller battery 😅. I have always faced blue screen errors & restarts with dell. Is it same with this model too?
@@001vidhu I have not had any bluescreens - but I do have problems with the keyboard right now. It sucks and it will have to be repaired but that's the same with all laptops bc quality control is so bad.
Hi, I am also confused about these 2 models. Lenovo S540 seems good too. I feel this is better built than the S540, but S540 got better looks. Very slim. Also 7591 lasts around 3 to 5 hours on battery but Lenovo may last 7hours. Have you made your purchase already? if yes which one you bought and how is it working.
Thank you for your review comparing the Inspiron and Vostro. I am looking for a new laptop, and I came across the Vostros on Dell's website during the last week of October 2020, and there's a Vostro 7500 that I am really considering - It's still on an amazing deal. I know it's more computer than I need, because the specs are great, 10th Gen i7, 16 GB RAM (8GB onboard + 8GBx1 SODIMM), and 512 SSD - and Nvidia GTX 1650, but I'd rather make sure that it's more than enough laptop. I am not a gamer, not a graphic designer, just heavy use of MS Office, email, and web browsing, youtube, etc. My concern is that I have read many reviews of the Vostros, even the 7500, that they do have a tendency to get hot/overheat, and that the fan runs constantly. I am not sure if you can offer some insight or feedback about this, if I am using this laptop for more basic functions that I mentioned, if the 7500 would still heat up, and if the fan would run constantly with more moderate usage? My other choice is going with a high end HP Envy, but in order to configure an Envy to the same specs as this Vostro 7500, it would cost me quite a bit more. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
They are amazing but they do run hot - but I've made a ton of videos about this. You can undervolt and limit the turbo and easily get it to a silent state. My fans are never running except when I export a video or play a game :)
@@w2best - Thank you for your response. I decided to cancel the order for the Dell Vostro. I did look at the Dell XPS laptops, but I was able to get a much better deal through HP. BTW I subscribed to your channel, your videos are very informative.
I just purchased and received the dell vostro 7590. Out of the box weight was 1.903kg. A bit heavier than the weight shown on the website of 1.85kg and certainly heavier than weight listed for the Inspiron, what was the measured out of the box weight of the Inspiron?
Interesting! What spec? I believe it's 1,7kg plus a few grams. That would actually mean it is in a different material than the Inspiron if we otherwise have the same spec which I assume...
I don't know anyone that had an Inspiron that was 1,59 but with the small battery it would definitely shave some. But then add a 2,5 ssd and it's the same again...
Below is the link to the specs of the laptop I purchased. Main reason for going for this was that it had the 16gb ram already so I didn’t need to modify it (not that tech savvy myself so would have needed to pay someone to do it and was concerned about voiding the warranty) The dimensions were almost identical to the Inspiron, but obviously slightly heavier. From what I know there's no difference in component setup to 7591. It should be the same. At least if we're talking the 2019 models of the 7590 and 7591.
Is there any SSD short circuit issue in this specific modal of dell. As this issue is know issue in india in this modal
I haven't heard anything about it. What would the issue be?
I can’t see the 7591 on Australian website, is it just for some countries?
It seems really hard to know what is available where! I haven't been able to figure out how Dell works there...
But I haven't been able to test personally!
why cant you test, you showed you had them both in the video?
Can u pls tell me the difference in price of dell inspiron 7591 before pandemic and after in ur country????
Thank you for your response.
i still don't get it
how about ram expand ???
can i upgrade the ram from 8gb to 16 or 24 or 32 ?
That is the same for all. You can updrade the two slots and 32gb is no problem.
Is the 7590 really made from magnesium alloy? It feels like plastic to me. We should research and find a way to determine the material used to make the chassis.
I sort of agree with you, but I can't tell anything else than what they say about it in the spec...
But i reconsider. Mg Al doesn't usually feel like metal. I think it's just fine :)
It depends on where you are buying it. In Hong Kong, Inspiron 15 7591 has GTX 1650 option which I'm using now.
That's great to hear. I expected that but haven't seen that option in Europe yet!
Is that option available in the US yet?
@@stevenw973 I was just checking and could only see it with 1050 in the Dell US Store.
In aus it comes with a MX250. I dunno if it’s the same model I think it is that’s why I searched and watch3d this vid
@@nobody5197 7591 with mx250? Really? Isn't that the 2 in 1 version?
I am interested in the inspiron 7000 15in black edition. Have you done a video on that model?
You mean the 2 in 1! It is very much on my list for a video coming soon! I don't own it but I'm gonna do my best still!
I will record something about this today so it should be up during next week! :)
@@w2best Thank you!!
Omg I'm from Russia with some English skills and your pronunciation are perfectly understandable for me, unlike other English-speakers. Thanks for review, because I haven't found any russian videos about this notebooks!
Oh I'm so glad to hear this! That it's not only native english that is appreciated. :)
Hows the battery backup on 7591 compared to the other two?
Usually 7591 is only with 56wh battery. One of the downsides with it...
Dell 7591 Query
What kind of 2.5 inch Hard Drive will it fit?
1. HDD & SSHD or both
2. Which size thickness hard drive will it fit with. i.e. 7mm, 5mm etc.
3. what is triple storage expand-ability that is advertised by dell?
4. Will it can be upgraded by having two M.2 SSD and one HDD?
1, Both. 2, I'm unsure. 3. You have one extra m2 ssd and the 2,5 inch. 4. Yes.
Great review. What's the max GB of ram we can put in 7591 and the max storage capacity for SDD and Nvme.
It is actually a different material so the Vostro is slightly heavier!
There's an other different:
Vostro got Windows pro, the Inspiron got Windows home.
At least in my Country.
Snicker3126 can you replace home with pro or not ?
DIFFERENT COLORS?
Hello, thanks a lot for this video. It's super useful. On paper the Vostro 7590 and Inspiron 7590 are almost identical. I notice they may have different Cell configuration. But how about the looks? I'm under the impression the Inspiron comes in Abyss Black, whilst the Vostro comes in Urban Grey. Have you or anyone here actually seen both side to side? Are they the same?
And actually different material so the Vostro is a bit heavier... I didn't cover this in the video. Wasn't aware of it at the time.
Thank you. the weight fact means a lot.
@@hectorbolivar3777 I agree! For me that was a big thing! :)
Are the screen to body ratios and the keyboard same on the 7590 and 7591?
Yes! Exactly the same!
Have you reviewed Dell vostro 7590 ?
What is the srgb on the 7590 (the full hd one)?
It's 72% NTSC so 100% srgb.
what is the battery backup of 7591.?
It's usually equipped with a 56wh battery!
Dell told me 3 to 5 hours max.
@@yatharthgupta5399 Yes that is true on a 56wh battery. That's why you need to get the big battery to have great battery life. I have 8-9 hours on mine. :)
I just ordered 7591 but with i5 9300H . Thoughts?
It's great. I do love the bigger battery in 7591 though, but maybe you prioritize storage?
I bought the Spectre 360 13t. My better half has had a couple of HP Envy laptops for many years, and they have been very reliable. We will see.
Main reason for going for this was that it had the 16gb ram already so I didn’t need to modify it (not that tech savvy myself so would have needed to pay someone to do it and was concerned about voiding the warranty)
The dimensions were almost identical to the Inspiron, but obviously slightly heavier. Hopefully performance is as good as!

No difference. Same product!
@@Cinarli1979 They both have micro SD-card reader. Not optional. It's different weights stated for the two - but I still haven't got anyone to confirm whether that is actually the case. The battery and screen configurations make a difference and maybe also vostro could configured to a 1,6kg weight?! To me it's all a bit unclear. :)
The Dell person recommends my self to get Vostro rather than Inspiron with the same specification 16giga RAM i7 and Vostro offers 1Tstorage which Inspiron 7000 only 512. Same price! Just yea Vostro is 200gram heavier than Inspiron.
Storage is not the biggest thing here since you have an extra slot you can put 2 or 4 terabyte extra in it!

I'm just worried about quality control.
Getting an extra warranty is extra piece of mind.
Yep. That is the main issue. Extra warranty is essential today imo...
Please do a comprehensive review on dell inspiron 15 7591
I really would like to but since I don't own it I couldn't say much about it...
it looks like vostro is the same as 7591 (not 7590), i.e. the same material and weight. But they still may have different quality - I doubt that Dell will sell Vostro cheaper just for its name :)
I'm interested to know if this is actually the case, since the color doesn't match between vostro and 7591, but the spec of the weight seems to do. I'm slightly confused by the lack real info in this case.
