I am re-doing my guest bedroom with furniture I inherited from my mom. It’s a light green/gray stained wood. All my accents will be centred around “romantic” roses and softness. When you said “romanticize your life”, I turned to my hubby and said “see, Brooke is telling me to, so I must, lol”. Hope you’re feeling better. Headaches/migraines are no joke.💓

Yeah, thanks very much. It happens to me every year. I get the worst headache for like 23 days and then it’s gone. It’s not an allergy. It’s just the pressure.🍃🌸🦢

Yeah, it’s just the pressure when the weather changes I get them in the spring and then I get them in the fall going into winter my whole life. I don’t know why 🤷🏼♀️other than that. Yes, that’s my project coming up on Sunday. I found it on the road and thank you very much but trust me I’ve been looking pretty scraggy lately. I’ve been working my buns off, trying to open up the gardens, the treehouse Terrace and the front porch the last 10 days its been hard labor on old gal lol.🍃🌸 I don’t usually get headaches just when the weather changes.🤷🏼♀️

I’m laughing because in the Dominican anything that ails you they put Vicks vapour on it ,I’m not laughing at you. I’m just laughing because if I said my toe hurt, they would say oh here use my Vicks,

So glad your headache is gone but I often have the same issue when the weather changes. Some rest and relaxation is what I would prescribe. Did I say I was gonna make cheesecake cause I just said it to my girlfriend on the phone I am going to make a cheesecake. I’m just trying to get the last little bit of my project done for Sunday and then I’ll do an update probably a week after planning the rest of the garden. I just don't know how you get so much done in a day Brooke but you do inspire and motivate me - especially when you're cooking. I run (see? I'm exercising!) to the pantry and virtually tear through bags or packets of food. Well, I need to make sure anything that is expiring soon needs to be eaten asap. Just a thought ...why dont you put gravel or stones instead of the bark..you wouldn't have to re do it and the blossoms wouldnt be so noticeable...
I don’t think I like the hard look of stone , I did consider it in the beginning last year was my first year, taking the grass out .

Hi there, you have so many thrift stores!! They always look so interesting. Few here and there in Phoenix. I just realized We have Savers which is Value Village.. I have to check it out. Yeah, well we live in a very big city like 7+ million people with the surrounding. Yes savers is value Village in the states. Same company. i’ve been to Phoenix not for quite a while though.
Fabulous style! In all your spare time...(Ha Ha) Wash all that glass you have for some sparkle and maybe hang an interesting white fabric curtain over the area with the step ladders. This comment may be on the wrong episode......I am talking about the little makeover of the pantry... Looks great!

I had to giggle about your friend and you saying yeah everyone sees things to buy! at a donation center I brought a blue &white lamp however I am taking it apart just the blue &white vase to put on my porch! Your chicken dinner looked so tasty! I thought about you driving on the highway , about 85% of the 18wheelers I passed were from Canada! they must go through Indiana and then Michigan crossing over the bridge in Detroit into Canada!? Btw, when I have a headache that won’t let go, I dab Vicks Vapor Rub on my face and forehead here and there and drink a few swigs of Coke (Diet Coke for me) and that helps quell the pain.
If the back of my head hurts too, I’ve been known to put thin dabs of the Vicks on my scalp back there as well…

I don’t drink any pop and the Vicks vapour rub everyone in the Dominican does that I live there for eight years and I swear if you stop you told they give you Vicks vapour rub but it’s gone anyways it’s just when the weather switches I get a migraine every year for like two days but thanks. vicks or tiger balm feels good for a headache, and they don't stain. your dinner was very appetizing, as usual.

but yes it’s gone. I just get two a year one in the spring summer and fall winter. I think it’s just from the pressure of change of weather .I suffered from TN though.
I went to two deli's today looking for crusty bread & finally found it ! My hubby is Italian & is so darned picky with his food ! I cheated & bought 2 banana bread & a strawberry rhubarb pie ! lol ! I hope you feel better soon Brooke ! Just rest when you are tired & make a nice cup of tea ! Sometimes a shot of brandy help's too ! xoxo

It’s just a little oil painting my mother would never even want me to have this. It was something She was just playing around. This is nothing compared to her real work …not that I’m minimizing it. I think it’s really cute. It’s clearly one of us girls because we had a collie dog and we all had blonde hair and my sister Laura, and I think it’s our sister Dana cause she’s in the corner. She was always in trouble Lol . It’s special to me, but I don’t think it’s a treasure to anybody else .The picture itself is in mint shape. It was just the frame was a little wonky. And oil paintings don’t look good with glass over them. It’s on a little canvas with a hardback .
She did it in the 50s I believe when we were little girls, but thank you for thinking such loving thoughts of the painting,

Good day. I’m in the states in Iowa and we are getting so much rain. I’m glad your feeling better. Last spring I started a herb garden, I pick and dry them I just love it. Rosemary is my favorite. Love the video have a Blessed day❤️
Oh wow! I don’t do a lot of herbs. I do time dill, basil, rosemary, and the tomato plant the rest. I just do flowers if I had a full yard, I would do vegetables.🌸🍃🦢 see you on Sunday

I was thinking about all that mulch… I wonder if adding in more shade loving perennials would work to take up space in the mulch area and maybe a wavy walking path of gravel …just thinking out loud. We have rain every other day. It’s frustrating, because I want to work in the yard. But it’s Spring.
We’re having sunshine the past few days, but we had a lot of rain, but I believe we needed it as we had no snow so it’ll make the plants happier and I just kind of worked when it was drizzling🍃🌸🦢❤️

I have vestibular problems, so when atmospheric pressure drops I get a headache.

Hello Brooke. Good evening. So glad you're feeling better, having a migrane is awful. Seems to be the season here anyway with rain & storms add a lot of pollen floating around. Still, you're working on things! I worked in my tiny area of planting in pots, went through all my potting soil but my body welcomed the break. So many cute things in the thrift stores there. I don't have any room in my tiny house but would love some new pieces. The vase is beautiful. We have a few small thrift stores in the boonies here. I do love the shape of the dish you put your chicken & chips on. I want try ...now I forgot the name of the breading for the chicken. In my 70s & learning new recipes from you 💕. The pillow cases are great in stripes. You have such an eye for things. Hope your daughter is enjoying her time in the islands . Wishing you a wonderful week hugs 🤗.

The name of the breading is Panko and it’s so much better than breadcrumbs and a little lighter I find yeah I’ve been 10 days straight working on the side garden the treehouse terrace and the front porch and clean up you know residual from winter things in and out it’s a lot of work as we age. The little plate I have is like the old diner chip plates. They used to put chips on well here in Canada anyways I have three of them. I love them just the right size not a big dinner plate. I’m going to make coffee and have a little road trip this morning to go pick up a few plants that I ordered from the nursery. It’s about an hour away in Toronto .Have a beautiful day and have fun playing in the garden.🍃🌸🦢

So glad you got rid of that hateful headache, Brooke… That’s a very nice Motown book you picked up, I live 25 minutes from Motown … Southeast Michigan, not too far from Detroit. I cut my teeth on Motown music, we listen to CLW the Motown sound! Best music ever.
Yes, I’ve been there many times back in the 70s and 80s I was in Detroit all the time my ex was a musician R&B… that’s pretty much all I listened to

Good morning, lovely lady. I just love waking up to your videos. Just told my husband i would like chicken tenders and homemade fries like Brooke fixed for my breakfast. Those look so crispy and delicious. I'm going to buy some panko and try to copy your recipe. I'm not much of a cook.You make cooking look easy and fun. Loves 💕
Thanks very much. It is so easy. Just cut your strips. Don’t make them too thick though because they don’t cook well ,As it cooks fast .wash your chicken dip it in some egg and then padded the panko on kind of hard and fried on med /high heat. I don’t have temperature. I just do it fast . Enjoy 🍃💝

Oh but of course I only listen to R&B. I like other music just R&B, my favourite specially 70s and 80s a little bit of 90s.
Just the look of the handkerchief vases. Beautiful. I have a big garden that could fill those vases. Now I have to have one (or 2). I am having so much fun watching your past videos. The vintage white ceramic swan planters or dishes are wonderful to hold teabags on a coffee/tea station and look so pretty. I use two sizes of the smaller ones. You are a gal after my own heart. Love your front garden area and tree house. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I wonder if there are some natural herbs or oils that could help your headaches. Be well lady!!

There’s no natural herbs and it’s not a headache. I have trigeminal neuralgia a.k.a. suicide disease. I wish there was something I have seen many many doctors and neurologist in many countries.
So sorry. My sis in law suffers from frequent debilitating migraines. Praying you find relief sweetie! 🙏🏻

So sorry about your headache. I’m 75 and used to have them really bad when in 20s and 30s but as I got older I don’t have them as often or as painful. But of course I do poop out easier than I used to. I find listening to my body is very important so find myself taking naps which I didn’t start til I turned 70. Now I enjoy my naps and my vintage lady friends are the same way. At least one advantage to growing old.😃 Take care of yourself.

There’s nothing they can do for me. I’ve been to hundreds of doctors. My headache wasn’t from that, though it wasn’t from my TN. It was just from the change of weather. But I can blame my TN on being crazy lol fun crazy that is.🌸🦢🍃

Brooke I'm about the same age as you! I have those days where I have headaches, no energy etc, and constantly think why am I like this? I was so full of ideas and determination etc 20 years ago and I don't know what happened in between. I've battled with accepting this but I have to! This is me now, this is what I can do now, so I take things slowly in accordance with what my body says. But boy it's hard!
Well, I’m really sorry to hear that you get them. I just get them twice a year. I get them in the spring going into summer and I get them in the fall going into winter so I think it’s the change of the weather I do have TN, but that’s got nothing to do with my migraine, but I’m all good now.
