I have a similar issue with some of Juvias older palettes. They stump me because there are no blending shades for my pale skin. Deep smokey looks are not always appropriate for me. That being said, there are HUNDREDS of things that do work. Hats off to Juvias for celebrating diversity 💜💜💜. My fave look was number 1. Love my Fumi, Tribe and Nomad Palettes 💚💚💚

I just pulled out this palette again because I've started using Zuri as a face highlighter. It's beautiful, but Juvia's Place quality has definitely improved through the years 🍉🍐🍊
The last look was my fave! And everyone has a black shade so you could still totally recreate it if you have that palette :). I’ve seen other people say they struggled with this one too because of the shade variety, but you still managed to make 3 beautiful looks (I liked look 2 personally) ❤️🍏
I know you struggled with this palette, but honestly, you created some of the prettiest looks I’ve seen! I love all three! The third look is probably my favorite. This is actually one of my favorite JP palettes, but I’m a sucker for grungy, jewel-toned color stories.
The third look was everything. I think you salvaged look two, and i like how you left the struggle in. So many times I don't end up loving my eye look but you just gotta make do when you can't start over.
Gorgeous work as always lovely! My fav is look #1 that blue was heavenly and quite honestly a close second is the look #2 because the way you blended those shimmers was so eye catching but I think if I were to ever recreate it (which I gotta say I'm awfully tempted to) I would use the more chunky yellow glitter from my Uh Huh Honey Palette on the outer corner instead to have more control of placement💛🍋
ok im soooooo glad you did a three looks with this palette because I recently bought this during their black friday sale & truly didn't know what look to create. this is actually my second time buying a juvias palette, I bought the fall one that you were talking about in your video & the darker mattes were so patchy & muddy that I actually returned it, luckily I bought it at ulta. but since juvias was having a really great sale I decided to give them another chance since I've been eyeing this palette & everyone loves their quality, but tbh the fact that they were patchy in your video too scares me, I'm getting flash backs to the patchy madness that was the nomad hahaha. stunning looks none the less, you always kill it regardless & are such an inspo!!
Hi! I like all three, but 1 is my favorite. I have many JP palettes and like the packaging and color stories, but the formula.... I don’t get why so many love it so much. This palette and the all gold and brown are my favorites. But the shimmers are definitely muted, which works for work

I bought this palette mostly for the green, blue, and gold colors! I already own a range of matte shadows that I know work for me so I don’t worry about the lack of mattes in this palette. Though I do wish that Juvia’s Place would include more matte colors that aren’t so orangey
I quite enjoy the Nubian 2😍 for me it's definitely a multiuse palette, I've used the shades as eyeshadow/blush/bronzer/highlight and haven't been disappointed ever!! But I totally get what you mean about needing some lighter shades to blend. I'd have done maybe 1 or 2 more lighter matte colors

Juvia's definitely has improved formulas over time. My Nubian 2 is old now, but it's still good. That's the thing; it was only ever good. The only shade that has ever been patchy for me is the plum one. All of them wear well on me (oily hooded lids: prime with a matte primer). Sometimes, when I try new shadows, they just don't work. Then a week later, they work fine and continue to work fine. I am not entirely sure why this happens. Could be weather changing the amount of oils my lids made or something completely ridiculous. All of that aside, like you said, your palette may be beyond its prime. The formula may just not get on with you. I have a few palettes that people loved, but they didn't work for me. I thought the looks were pretty. I hope the palette ends up working for you later, but if it doesn't, you don't deserve to feel guilty. 🖤
Ok, consider me perverse, but I really ended up liking look #2, lol. Of course #3 was my favorite! But I don't consider bringing in something from another palette cheating...I have my neutral palettes that always work, then I bring in singles for color. It's much easier on my budget than always buying new palettes for new looks!!! 💜😈👾🍇🍆

I always bring along a black and I’ve started to mix in my Colourpop Anna palette for purples and neutral colors in the crease. It’s a shame because I love the green, blue, and the kind of orangey shimmers. I might just depot the shimmers and put them in a more travel friendly sized palette. On a more positive note, I love how determined you were for your last look, which turned out amazing! 🐍 I love the addition of flakies! I’ve noticed that indie nail polish trends are infiltrating indie makeup (like iridescent flakes and multichrome) and I’m here for it!

I have this palette, and trust me it's not you. The palette sucks. I know the patchiness in look two really killed your confidence, but I think it looks beautiful! You took a disaster and turned it right around! Also, I wanted to say that I never thought about cutting my crease with a glitter glue. Concealer gets so messy. Genius.

My dark colour you stuggeld with works fine in my palette. but i think sometimes the quality changes 🤔 I like the newer Palettes more than the older ones. And the afrique is also not my favourit. 🍑🍐 I tend to reach for this palette for the shimmers. I used to need multiple JP palettes for one look but I am trying to keep it to one or two now. I think I have only created one complete look with Nubian 2 and I remember being happy with it - but I also used the orange shade 😃

This palette is my first juvia's place baby and I got it based on Nicol Renee Cutler recommendation & I had a lovely chat with her because of it , it hold a special place in my heart ! Now , my 1st impression was : " Umm why people rave about the formula 😱? ?" But I don't let anything beat me lmao , plan B : changing the brushes & that worked & I love the looks I created using it , it's a grungy jeweled sunsety neutraly color scheme 😂 I agree with you about the formula thing , the layer released palettes are better , thb It's my least used one of my juvia's place collection too ! I recently wore it 3 days in a row & I struggled a bit with it too , and as I told you I don't let anything beat me 😂 plan C : using less shadows to do look = I love it , got bored again , plan D : mix shimmers, make a gradient , cut crease or giant wing = lovely , bored again? Plan Glitter : self explanatory 😂 and plan Mix palette : pairing it with the festival palette and use the red with copper 😍😍 Its quit a journey with it ! Juvia's place knows thier way to my heart , 2018 was my first Order from them , 2019 I stopped a bit to try other things , but still I wanted the nubian coral = abh sultry but with a color punch, Nomad = the yellows,the khaki and the packaging got me ,I'm not buying it tho , warrior 3 = the blues and the purple got me,now the minis 😍😍the violets I'm need , the berries : amy got me thinking about it 😍the nudes seems luxurious, although I'm caramel skinned idk if they will show up! Still haven't decided what to pick yet lol 😂

this palette works beautifully for me. I wonder, because it was pre-owned, if the previous user didn't store it properly? A lot of people store their makeup in the bathroom but the heat and moisture from the steam will affect the formula. Or did i misunderstand and they just gifted you a brand new palette?
If I remember correctly, the neutrals in this palette worked ok for me, but the green (which I wanted most at the time) didn't - I think it really creased and faded on me. Overall, I've never gotten the hype of Juvia's place except that they are a good price point.

🍑🍐 I tend to reach for this palette for the shimmers. I used to need multiple JP palettes for one look but I am trying to keep it to one or two now. I think I have only created one complete look with Nubian 2 and I remember being happy with it - but I also used the orange shade 😃
I I like all the 3 looks !
This palette is my first juvia's place baby and I got it based on Nicol Renee Cutler recommendation & I had a lovely chat with her because of it , it hold a special place in my heart !
Now , my 1st impression was : " Umm why people rave about the formula 😱? ?"
But I don't let anything beat me lmao , plan B : changing the brushes & that worked & I love the looks I created using it , it's a grungy jeweled sunsety neutraly color scheme 😂
I agree with you about the formula thing , the layer released palettes are better , thb It's my least used one of my juvia's place collection too !
I recently wore it 3 days in a row & I struggled a bit with it too , and as I told you I don't let anything beat me 😂 plan C : using less shadows to do look = I love it , got bored again , plan D : mix shimmers, make a gradient , cut crease or giant wing = lovely , bored again? Plan Glitter : self explanatory 😂 and plan Mix palette : pairing it with the festival palette and use the red with copper 😍😍 Its quit a journey with it !
Juvia's place knows thier way to my heart , 2018 was my first Order from them , 2019 I stopped a bit to try other things , but still I wanted the nubian coral = abh sultry but with a color punch, Nomad = the yellows,the khaki and the packaging got me ,I'm not buying it tho , warrior 3 = the blues and the purple got me,now the minis 😍😍the violets I'm need , the berries : amy got me thinking about it 😍the nudes seems luxurious, although I'm caramel skinned idk if they will show up!
Still haven't decided what to pick yet lol 😂

It looks like hard work this pallete. I can tell that it's patchy as well, which is a pity because I used to like Juvias eyeshadow.

this palette works beautifully for me. I wonder, because it was pre-owned, if the previous user didn't store it properly? A lot of people store their makeup in the bathroom but the heat and moisture from the steam will affect the formula. Or did i misunderstand and they just gifted you a brand new palette?
It was brand new when I got it! It was a gift, yes, but not used.

If I remember correctly, the neutrals in this palette worked ok for me, but the green (which I wanted most at the time) didn't - I think it really creased and faded on me. Overall, I've never gotten the hype of Juvia's place except that they are a good price point.
