I love the photos that this film produces in most cases. I think all film photographers should support this and buy at least one roll. I purchased a roll of this film but have not shot it yet it's in my camera bag waiting to be loaded next

Huh, thought I recognised the pub from the thumbnail! Not been in for years though 😄
Whether or not it's difficult to use, the results from that film look interesting, very punchy. Reminiscent of photos my parents took in the 70s/80s. Can see your point about the halation etc being quite a heavy "effect" that could be distracting.
Which lab did you use for your scans? I've only taken my film to Harrison's so far.

I also used Harrisons for convenience but would use a better lab for this stock in future as I think it definitely requires it!
It’s definitely got the 70/80’s vibe, that’s why I thought shooting Sam and his Saab would work well with it!

Yeah it’s very similar, Cinestill is repurposed cine film which is why it also has the halation effect

In the right conditions and with decent dev & scan I’m sure you can achieve some great results!
