Stupid question; I gather the lineup in this video was simply for the filming? As far as I know, her backing band has always been men, unless I'm wrong, which may well be so here. *shrug* Anyway, love the riffs and melodies in this song, the groove (and I like the production, I dunno about you guys--that's what kick drums are supposed to sound like, not like a typewriter), and that LAST HIGH NOTE! DAMN. I jumped out of my seat when that hit. I think I need more of this band and of Akane Liv's voice in my life, here.

You should hear the drummer for Aldious, another all girl band from Japan. She plays like a maniac, and in a dress. They have a visual kei gimmick where the girls all dress like they are going to work in a hostess bar.

Stephanie Hyun J LEE There are a lot of highly skilled, energetic female drummers around, also quite young ones. That said,Rafa Torres is correct, the female band members seen here are for this PV only (check the description, the other band members' names are all male).
Though even though they're actors, it's pretty obvious that they do know how to play. Subtleties in their movements that are indicative of trained, experienced players give it away. Probably was a casting criterion.
