I like to think the episode Save Summer was responsible for Phineas and Ferb having over 200 days of summer vacation. When they saved Earth after it was moved away from the sun by Love Muffin, they moved it back to where it was at the beginning of summer giving them a much longer summer than usual. Then again, that is just my theory.
I'm glad to see Phineas and Ferb return, but I also kinda feel like that's the very reason Milo Murphy's Law didn't go anywhere and got cancelled early... In the later seasons they focused _too much_ on the old characters (mainly Doof and Perry, with a lot of seemingly pointless cameos for characters like Norm and Vanessa) and all it did was remind them of how much they missed Phineas and Ferb instead of focusing on what make Milo Murphy's Law unique.
Yeah, Disney just wanted money so they said "we are going to put one of the most liked characters of Disney shows (Doofensmirth) as a main character, for season 2". And that lead to people liking less the show. I still want a 3rd season but not with Doof being so recurrent.

With the fact that the “Perry Vs Doof” no longer exists since the finale, it would be cool to see if doof messed up stuff with his kindness, so for example, he wanted to help wash a city with a blimp that shoots water, he ends up flooding it and crashing a few buildings, and when perry isn’t there then doof just goes on accidentally destroying things, but on occasion perry will arrive before it happens and help doof not flood a city or do something bad by accident. it would also be nice to see doof and Perry have a friendship that *(could)* replace the normal Perry vs doof.
So, in recent weeks, some questions have been asked of the creators. Their plan is that we will see them closer to the ages they are in the original show but we'll also continue with their teenage selves as well. That doesn't answer all our questions, but we can still theorize on what this means. In my opinion, the best case scenario is that we'll be grounded in the college lives of Phineas and Ferb, maybe they're back for a summer and like us watching the new show, they're going through nostalgia. They'll go through something and stories will come up about the past. Phineas and Isabella did spend some time apart after middle school (as they point out that that's when Isabella gave up on her feelings and when Phineas started developing them), so there's still new stories to tell that not everyone in their group may know. Maybe we'll even catch up with Candace, Jeremy and Stacy. As someone going through college myself, this would feel very real to me because my friends and I have done this a lot since graduating high school. This would also be a good way for them to answer so many questions about how certain people got together, how others drifted apart, etc. Also, about Doof being bad in the specials, the creators have basically fixed the continuity, saying that he relapsed for a few months before going back to being good. Hard to break a habit, you know? They also did mention that they're finally going to do Meep Me in St. Louis!
@@Ryboflavin That's fair. How I see it is that the future changes. There are so many possibilities. Everything we do changes it. It could be that during those current events at the time, that was what the future looked like in the specials. Granted, some of what was in the specials wasn't entirely Doof's idea or wasn't entirely evil. The Halloween one with Vanessa's costume party for instance was just Doof and Perry searching the manor for his relative's hidden treasure.
There IS room for the Phineas-Isabella dynamic. We can see how she gradually drifted away and went on to do other things. I think it would actually be one of the most interesting things other than seeing what Doof is up to. The original formula doesn't need to be followed. There's a LOT of characters we haven't seen on screen that we got told about or saw brief glimpses off that would be interesting to expand on. I'm talking about those in Phineas and Ferb's original families and Ferb's British links.
If they do that, it will be fundamentally breaking Phineas and Ferb. The original formula is what makes the show so unique and special. I am almost hoping it flops. Too many revivals fail and just end up ruining the original show.
P&F is a formulaic show at its core but I do hope they shake up the formula a bit or establish a new one so that things don't get stale quick. As for Doof being a good guy now, I don't think it would be a problem. As we've seen in Milo, anything he does erupts into hijinks regardless, and Perry legit hangs out with him now so that dynamic is still there. I'm pleasantly optimistic for this revival.
Also I love your School-Era pitch for the show! The dynamic of the gang having Doof for a teacher whilst he and Agent P try to hide their secret is genius.
A perfect way to explains the excessive amount of summer days would be to blame it on Doofenshmirtz's Do-Overinator from "The Last Day of Summer". In the episode, he claimed to have built that machine sometime earlier that summer, which means that he had probably used it a few times before. This can be used as a way of justifying as many extra days of summer as the writers want as they can just say some of them took place during the time-looped days from the Do-Overinator.
I feel like the only problem with that, though, is that it would require the boys to build the exact same thing every day. As the only people who can do things differently are Doof and Candace while everyone else loops.
@@Thomas_H._Smith My theory is that Perry and Doof were completely unaffected by it, due to them being in the room at the time when the machine was first activated or something and they just didn't know it. Because of this, Doof and Perry relived the same day a few times without noticing it and their minor different actions caused a butterfly effect, causing Phineas and Ferb to build different inventions and Candace to do different things or something like that.
I think this situation is a no-lose deal. If the new seasons are bad, we can ignore them. The creators won’t suffer because they’re working on other content. The show can remain beloved regardless of what happens here.
Been watching P&F since the beginning in the state of Florida. I really I am thankful that Disney TV animation is bringing back the golden show and have a lot of predictions for the new series. I still really want to see more Phinbella moments and would really like to see Isabella comfort Phineas for the first time because It never happened in the original series. Also I would like to see more of The Fireside Girls since Dan had that idea for a long time and a third movie but this time theatrical.
I actually watched both movies for Phineas and ferb; 2nd dimension, and candace against the universe, didn't like the 2nd one tbh it was mostly singing and less plot storyline u know for me, i'd prefer 2nd dimension over the 2nd recent move imo
I believe the "two TV Seasons" idea for the double-summer theory is what led to the 104 choice, but I don't have a source. Each Meap episode being a Summer-indicator is also neat. Also, consider for a plot. W'Ummer, it's a reversal of S'Winter.
They've said that they chose 104 days because most disney shows at the time got 52 episodes and each episode of P&F has two one-day segments. But that's not the same as them saying that the show is actually two summers. They've also said that the entire show is one summer.

Doof being good could still work honestly, since he creates more disaster when trying to done good deeds. Perry could act like his babysitter or something.
I can see that happening since we seen that in the episode where Phieas, Ferb and the rest of the kids are young adults going to collage and Perry is assigned to check of Doof to make sure he aint doing evil since he retired at that time, but instead Doof created a charm to make him feel young and especially the O.W.A.C.A Files special when Doof became a new agent and did messed everything up AT TIMES since he is new along with Maggie, Harry and Karen but he and the new recruits learn to work together.
I'd like to see a bit more story arc stuff. They dabbled with it at times but didn't commit too much, while Milo got to do more of it. Don't go crazy with it, but it's a way to do more new things and mix things up.
I think an interesting Idea they could do is try and to make an alternate version of Milo from the 2nd Dimension where instead of everything going wrong, Milo and his family could maybe be really lucky in this Doofenshmirtz ruled world, like maybe protecting them from any disasters that occur or just something lucky happening to them
This can either go two ways, can pick up like it never left or ruin the legacy. I think the best solution is for the next summer to start, everything be the same but instead of perry trying to stop doof from doing evil, perry can fix doofs mistakes when he messes up trying to do good. The other direction is to just pick up like the summer didn’t end.
An idea I'd like to see is an episode centered around the teenage characters, Candace, Stacy, Jeremy, Vanessa, and Jenny. I actually think the idea of having some episodes be set during the school year would be good for this as well as technically all these characters should be in high-school at the same time. Also while were at it throw Baljeet in there saying he skipped a bunch of grades since his marks were too high and have him and the teens work together to stop some sort of crazy Doof shenanigans at a pep-rally or something. This also provides the opportunity for some Stacy and Perry moments and has a reason for Phineas and Ferb not to be there.
I hope they make an episode where Linda finds out about the boys inventions and not have it be erased or they make an episode that says Linda always knew just didn’t care to go along with the popular fan theory.
hear me out, Doof being the creator of time travel accidentally resets the entire events (probably with a self destruct button) of the series to the start of summer, everyone's unaware of what happened and their summers back to the start, redoing everything and having new inventions and stuff

I like the idea of Seasons 1 and 2 being a separate summer from the two following seasons. Especially because Summer Belongs to You felt very conclusive.

About Doofenshmirtz, the timeline is more complex than just "he stopped being evil and remained a good guy for the rest of his life". Yes, he gave evil up in the series finale. The thing is, in the christmas episode, which takes place during the same year as the series (so chronologically, after the summer), Doof is still evil. I guess you could say that this episode was made way before the series finale, and that the writers aren't going to take it into consideration while making s5 and s6, but I'm pretty sure Dan has stated somewhere that Doof has indeed gone back to evil, meaning that the christmas episode will be taken into consideration. So where does that leave us ? Well, Doof's chronoly is very messy, and it's kinda hard to put the pisces together for now ; but if there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that Doof has returned to evil after gave up on it at some point before next summer. Taking that into consideration, Doof could totally be evil in the new summer.

Thats different. They made the Christmas epsiode before they knew how the show would end. Doof backtracking would be depressing. If they want to keep him evil they would need to set the reboot directly after Night of the Living Pharmacists. What I would do is have one of the characters appear before the theme song and say. "This episode takes place directly after Night of the Living Pharmacists season 4 episode 223 Enjoy the show"

First off, Candace Against the Universe was way better written than Unfair Science Fair Redux. Second, I don't care when it takes place as long as the quality and writing in the show is still in tact. Candace Against the Universe is proof that they still got it.
Candace Against The Universe made all the characters more one dimensional and felt like it had the pacing style of Milo Murphy Law so nah they definitely lost touch with it

The only idea I have explains itself: Gravity Falls crossover. -P&F work with Dipper and Ford to solve some supernatural mystery -Mabel joins the Fireside girls, who did not realize how intense wilderness survival would get around this town. -Soos is somehow involved in the Perry and Doof plot. -Running gag where Stan is constantly causing the parents to miss seeing all the crazy stuff going on.
I’d love to see Milo crossover with P&F and allow that to be the driving force to push Disney to greenlight more seasons of MML. It’d be the perfect under the table scheme.
Ideas: What if Doof becomes evil again, or still has adventures with Perry but just as a good guy just like in Milo Murphy's law. What if Doof and Perry team up to fight a new villain in the 2 new seasons? What if Norm becomes the new villian of the series? That would still be close enough for Doof to be in the show somewhat while still being familiar enough that it would be out of place. Doof doesn't have to come back as a villain, but it would be ideal if someone close to him because the new villian of the story. When you think about it, Doof was never really a villain in the first place so does it matter that he would still be portrayed as one in the later seasons? What if Act Your Age was noncanon or in an alternate timeline? Or at the very least Isabella started to drift away much later on. What if the two new seasons occur the summer before the main summer where the 4 current seasons take place? I hope Milo will make an appearance in the new seasons of Phineas and Ferb, although I doubt it.
If they go to school, since it’s the same school as milo (as a kid) I would hope you get like the principal saying how she had a kid once years ago.. and you get a flashback of baby milo causing a issue. (This could work as you don’t need to understand milo is a devolved character)
These are good ideas, one caveat to the school proposal is that Dan Povenmire himself has said that the show really isn't about Phineas and Ferb (despite the title). They are not the plot of the episodes. They do not grow, change or learn. It is Candace and Doof who work through something they face, the boys and Perry are just the catalysts to their development. Being in a school setting, it would be more difficult for the boys to directly affect Candace.
I think a good idea of how to deal with Doof while still keeping the formula would be making Doof an anti-hero. Idk if that’s the right word exactly, but his episodes would revolve around some hairbrained scheme to do good, but they always go awry. Perry has to fix these problems so that the invention can actually help people. Maybe secretly, so he doesn’t hurt Doof’s feelings. I feel like there’s some potential there the show could mine.
While I think I wouldn't super mind the revival...I'm not really foaming at the mouth for it, y'know? Phineas and Ferb had a wonderful ending that kinda wrapped things up nicely and ended the series. I just hope, if they do it, that they make it hold up

I'm gonna list a few ideas I have here & the rest will go into a video I might make on this topic: 1: Chronicles of Meap - I'm very interested in that episode & the crew will have a ton of fun adding in the extra scenes. The next episode could be a reference to "Mt St Helens" (Meap St Helens). Or.... "The Chronicles of Meap Episode 42: Launching from Kennedy Meap Center". Also, I really hope the crew adds in that scene where Meap fights Suzy; I think the entire community needs that. And if it's not added, someone's gonna animate it by themselves.... 2: Future P&F - In case they wanna show their future kids, I think Dan would need to contact another DeviantArt user. KicksterAsh created the character designs from "Act Your Age"; Dan could talk to users "Angelus19", "ElyPandita" (aka Sam-ely-Ember) & get their character "Marie Flynn" (Daughter of Phineas & Isabella) & "Thomas" (Son of Ferb & Vanessa) to appear on the show. I know that another user named "MarieFan" has another character named "Nathaniel" (Alternate son of Phineas & Isabella); he looks like Phineas with black hair. They could also add "Ariel" (Alternate daughter of Ferb & Vanessa). 3: The Timeline - I agree with your timeline since the show's timeline reminds me of the timeline for "Miraculous Ladybug" where all of the episodes are supposed to take place in 9 months. At least your version is much better for me to understand. I have other ideas, but like I said, I'll save them for my own video on this topic.
I think if they make an actual series where each episode leads up to something, which would be a lot different than the original, which would probably make it better in some ways
Having the "I, Brobot" clips playing while talking about the friend episodes vs the brothers-only episodes gave me an idea: they should make a sequel episode to "I, Brobot" that gives all the friends their own robot versions! Though I suppose the idea of robot Flynn-Fletchers has already been explored at OWCA, it'd be fun to see how the boys could expand on the concept of their Brobot idea.

He didn't respond, but oh well: I really NEED to see - The world get taken over by llamas (Cavendish said it happened, when he was reading from a hologram in a library in the future the first time the Pistachions took over) - The third rise of the Pistachions from Bradley's vine arm - If Mr. Drako is really a vampire - If the leader of P.I.G. is actually an alien or a robot - Whether C.I.D.D. the robot actually keeps his promise to remember Milo when they take over - Melissa becoming a time traveller through her mentoring program - Doof become Dr. Time - The origin, motivations, and actions we haven't seen from the aliens Milo crashed on in the pilot episode and in the pace car episode. They said they were going to warn them, but warn them from what? - How Diogee came to be Milo's dog. Without Milo, there is no Diogee, and we see this because he disappeared in "World Without Milo" (episode 31 of the series)! We need to see how he got there and his thoughts/motivations on staying. - More of the truck guy! We need another episode where he makes multiple appearances. We need to see him evolving quietly in the background. Meeting a girl. Falling in love. Getting a house. Having kids. Getting a better job. Experiencing race car driving. I really WANT to see - Milo and Amanda get together and how they handle life together when they have a family - Why Dakota and Cavendish's boss went back in time to warn his past self not to fire them, at the Christmas party - That time Cavendish got milked to death - What time travel error caused Chad's neighbors not to know who he was even after years of living next to each other (see the beginning of episode 31, when he is talking with Zack) - Why Bradley is obsessed with Milo. We need more character development on him! - Why Bradley got stuck with a vine arm - Melissa and Zack get together It would also be really neat to see - How Milo is able to fit so much in his backpack - Where Melissa learned to crow like a rooster - Where Melissa's mom is - How that gargoyle in the Halloween episode gained sentience - Whether a Pistachion survived disguised as a rat or something - How Cavendish and Dakota finally made pistachios extinct - Why Doof and Milo can break the fourth wall all the time - Milo and Phineas and Ferb building something together - Milo meet Mr. Block - If Bradley is related to the Murpheys. (Why else would he be left with that vine arm, and never get his way?) - A comment or explanation about the significance of Mr. Block and Dr. Zone both having their favorite nut be pistachios. Maybe Mr. Block told the maker of Dr. Zone to make the main character's favorite nut be pistachios, so more people would like pistachios and they'd be less likely to go away in the future. Probably bribed him. - Whether Lydia really isn't named Lydia, like the undergrounder said in the elevator (Maybe it's Jody, like he called Milo a moment later) (episode 72) - How Mr. Drako got all those ipads but couldn't afford an athletic and intellectual event except combined. He said it was a story "for another time."

I'm gonna be honest, the last thing I wanna see is just going back to the original summer. It worked for Candace Against the Universe but for a 40 episode series I wanna see the next summer, not to mention Dan has said he wanted to do the next summer for years before the revival was pitched.

Concept for the Perry half of the show. Perry is infact working with Good Doof, but their Nemesis looks up to the old Evil Doof. OWCA agents have to hide their identities from their Nemesis, so Good Doof has to pretend to be Evil Doof to remain undercover. This way we still get Evil Doof but this time he has to hold himself back creating new story pottential, We also get Good Doof.
A problem with the school episodes is that Candace wouldn’t be there to see their wacky inventions and wouldn’t be able to try to bust them. A big plot of every episode.
If the story still takes place in that single summer, there should be no worries about Isabella being over phineas, Doofenschmerz turning good and anything. Because those shall be what will happen later than the stories of new seasons. But lines like Morty-Vanessa-ship are done for sure. I actually kinda love the pair of Morty and Vanessa.
Man, your ideas are awesome, I would actually really like to see some of those in the new seasons. No matter what, as long as Disney doesn't stick their nose into the show too deeply or change anything for the worse, with Dan and Swampy in charge I'm sure they'll make it great because they both know what the community would want to see and what they wouldn't. Fairly optimistic for it all!
I always felt that Phineas and Ferb Crossovers should be background things. like Phineas and Ferb are doing their thing, inventing some contraption, or it's the establishing shot of Doof Evil inc. and in the background of you see the trio in a canoe, Melissa looking concerned, Zack screaming, and Milo standing on the bow with doonkelberry cake on a fishing pole, leading the doonkelberry bats that are lifting them hundreds of feet off the ground. and visa versa (Doof's blimp in the background of Murphy's law shenanigans (not unlike his cameo in Hamster and Gretel (p.s. BALLOONY!!!!)))
At the beginning of every episode it could phines and ferb remembering past summers before season 1-4 so doof is still evil Isabell is still having fun with the boys and there’s not even more days of the 1-4 season summer.
I got an idea for the doof and perry B storyline. Doof is fighting a villain with an evil ray. As you may guess he zaps Doofenshmirtz and then doofenshmirtz evil incorporated reopens and perry has to convince dr. D that he’s a good guy and over time scheme after scheme, doof on the last episode gets zapped by a ray made by Perry, the Goodinator. (This could be made by phinease and ferb while doof is trying to take over the Tristate where in this attempts he gets very close to taking it over.)
If the objective is to keep the formula similar yet slightly different, then I do see one small issue with the school episode thing: Candace. Being significantly older than Phineas and Ferb, she probably wouldn't even be in the same building as the boys for several years straight.
Phineas and Ferb Quantum Boogaloo probably made the Season 1 episodes (and a few Season 2 episodes) non-existent outside of Rollercoaster, with It’s About Time taking place in the same day.
I love all these ideas (unfortunately the Perry speaks idea goes against the rule that Perry has to appear like a "mindless domestic pet" so he can't (appear to) have any inner thoughts, which is how the pet translator episode wraps up) for the third Chronicles of Meap episode (or if you want to go with the bit, the third Chronicles of Meap/Phineas and Ferb Crossover) I hope it ends with Doof having to take a long bus ride home, where he gets to sing his hit single "Sucker for the Sounds of Mass Transit" there could be a TV screen in the bus playing ads, maybe in-between an in-ride movie (this could be because it's a long bus ride, or the bus was sponsored by totally tools, or even it's just one of the many things Rodger does to improve the city while in office) anyway, after showing the tail end of some ad like a political ad for Rodger, or an ad for totally tools, or maybe a Hamster & Gretel action figure (although I'm not sure the timelines can line up for that, if not then there could be a reference to Professor Exclamation before his industrial accident, selling used tires or running "Exclamation Finance" from the first episode, giving a "double bent-elbow thumbs-up guarantee that he'll never turn to villainy" or "risking my elbows so you can save money!" or some other tongue-in-cheek joke), an ad plays for the next, "they don't plan on making this trailer" trailer, and of course, in this one is the Suzy clip, to which Doof says the same thing he says in the second trailer, "wait wasn't that Suzy one supposed to be in this one?" so now it works as part of the trailer and in context
Super HandyBoys: my fanon show Phineas and Ferb started their handyman business, until one day, while trying to fix a bathtub drain, they were sucked down a secret magic portal pipe, landing in a magical land full of sweets and candy, the Kingdom of Sweets. The evil Pumbaa Pack (based off the Piglins from Minecraft), lead by the evil King Porkus Pumbaa, has invaded the kingdom and has turned its inhabitants (the candy people) into inanimate objects (stones, bricks and plant pots), and has also captured its ruler and only one who can break this curse: Princess Sugarplum. Upon hearing the news, Phineas and Ferb must go from world to world, fighting runts, missiles, walking bombs, centipedes, gophers and so on, to save the princess from the evil pumbaa king.
My biggest concern is Disney themselves and what restrictions the might put on the crew. They might give them free regin or they might restrict them based on their wants for the show. The show was brought back to make money so they might limit what they are allowed to do, as Disney wants more classic Phineas and Ferb to sell. This happened with the second movie with lots of plots being shot down in order to have it feel like classic Phineas and Ferb.
I hope that the episodes instead just jump to different parts in time and never bother explaining the actual timeline and keep making fun of its own inconsistency. We could see them in uni, see them in the past, etc. They could even make the episodes parallel each other. Also there better be another MEAP episode.
I like this, not only do you get to see many different phases of their lives but you can also be excited for what phase the next episode will take place in. Sadly, this definitely won't be the case tho
I hope they do. I don't buy the relapse explanation, since there's also Halloween and New Year's. Kind of ruins the finale episode too, if we know he's just going to relapse back to evil later. Feels disingenuine to the promise he made Vanessa.
Honestly, I don't know why we never got a spin off series following either Doof 101 or the OWCA Files. Those were such fun ideas, I would have watched those. I never liked Phineas or Isabella or Baljeet or Candace. Stacy, Jeremy, Perry, Vanessa, Heinz, they were all good or at the very least good enough, but seriously the other dragged the show down for me. If the series only focused on Heinz and Perry (which were the only parts of the show that I liked and watched the show for) then it would make it better. Edit: Oh my god. Pet sitting Perry??? But how would Heinz (who doesnt really know the kids) end up stuck with Perry when the kids have grandparents that could watch him like they did before? More than likely, one of their friends or family would watch him, if they couldnt, Stacy would, maybe if not her then Jeremy. It would have to be a lot of forced drama to make them run out of options to have Perry end up with Heinz, and even then it would most likely be Candace asking Vanessa to watch Perry. Also, Perry talking sounds cursed. But if he wanted to talk, they could find a work around, like him constantly carrying a notepad to write or maybe him knowing sign language or something, just not him actually talking, not unless Perry somehow becomes Human for an episode, then he could talk for that episode, but not as a Platypus because that would break the balance.
I am happy it's coming back then again new shows would be good other than bringing back the other shows as reboots or new seasons it ended and let it end if they bring it back phineas and ferb's legacy is ruined sadly if it is a reboot that's it I am done with Disney then again if it's new episodes I am kind of okay with it
Well heres something fresh, we could expand on the doof and milo Murphys law dynamic, having phineas and ferb team up for more fun with both milo and doofenshmertz.
So, for ideas - it's easy to get bogged down on an annual basis - but taking an 8 year break, you start to see all the missed chances - you start to get a fresh look at something old and can start to see more ideas that you wish you had done For the 104 days, yeah, they did things in the morning, in the afternoon, and the evening, so it allows for 104 x 3 - AT A MINIMUM - so yeah, it fits
Eh I've never bought the "multiple ideas per day" theory. Firstly, it'd mean Perry defeats Doof 3 times a day. This feels pretty unlikely given their interactions, coupled with all the Major Monogram meetings. Then, most episodes show the boys at the start of the day, as they say "I know what we're going to day *today,* as if it's the main event. On the few occasions they literally do more than one thing in a day, Phineas treats it as a special occasion while saying "I know what *else* we're going to do today."
I love phineas and ferb and it is a large paet of my childhood. But i dont thunk reviving it is a good move. They say you can^t catch lightning in a bottle twice.
We could also just remove Act Your Age from the show's canon. Would it really be so bad to cut one episode from canon to subvert our expectations and let Phineas and Issebella have something? Especially if we go with this is the next summer, Google says they're 8-10, so if we're in the next summer they're 9-11, and while it would be on the younger side it wouldn't be unreasonable for them to start dating the way kids do. Another cool idea for an episode or two, would be somehow the effects of the Amnesia-Inator get reversed making the whole gang remember it. They already teased the idea that memories can be recovered in the episode where they start singing "Summer Where Do We Begin?" And then say they all know the song but don't know from where.
What if they go for more story driven seasons? They could solve some issues with this and could be used to explain the endless summer, but also it would take away the Phineas and Ferb charm so idk.
Whatever ends up happening, I have decent hopes that the new episodes will be just as good as the old ones! Considering I really liked against the universe, these are some really good ideas and I hope some of them happen (even if none of the creators see it)
I think it would be interesting if they made it to where there was an actual reason that the summer goes on for so long like some sort of villain who makes it go on forever

I like to think the episode Save Summer was responsible for Phineas and Ferb having over 200 days of summer vacation. When they saved Earth after it was moved away from the sun by Love Muffin, they moved it back to where it was at the beginning of summer giving them a much longer summer than usual. Then again, that is just my theory.

I'm glad to see Phineas and Ferb return, but I also kinda feel like that's the very reason Milo Murphy's Law didn't go anywhere and got cancelled early... In the later seasons they focused _too much_ on the old characters (mainly Doof and Perry, with a lot of seemingly pointless cameos for characters like Norm and Vanessa) and all it did was remind them of how much they missed Phineas and Ferb instead of focusing on what make Milo Murphy's Law unique.
Yeah, Disney just wanted money so they said "we are going to put one of the most liked characters of Disney shows (Doofensmirth) as a main character, for season 2". And that lead to people liking less the show. I still want a 3rd season but not with Doof being so recurrent.

With the fact that the “Perry Vs Doof” no longer exists since the finale, it would be cool to see if doof messed up stuff with his kindness, so for example, he wanted to help wash a city with a blimp that shoots water, he ends up flooding it and crashing a few buildings, and when perry isn’t there then doof just goes on accidentally destroying things, but on occasion perry will arrive before it happens and help doof not flood a city or do something bad by accident.
it would also be nice to see doof and Perry have a friendship that *(could)* replace the normal Perry vs doof.
So, in recent weeks, some questions have been asked of the creators. Their plan is that we will see them closer to the ages they are in the original show but we'll also continue with their teenage selves as well. That doesn't answer all our questions, but we can still theorize on what this means.
In my opinion, the best case scenario is that we'll be grounded in the college lives of Phineas and Ferb, maybe they're back for a summer and like us watching the new show, they're going through nostalgia. They'll go through something and stories will come up about the past. Phineas and Isabella did spend some time apart after middle school (as they point out that that's when Isabella gave up on her feelings and when Phineas started developing them), so there's still new stories to tell that not everyone in their group may know. Maybe we'll even catch up with Candace, Jeremy and Stacy. As someone going through college myself, this would feel very real to me because my friends and I have done this a lot since graduating high school. This would also be a good way for them to answer so many questions about how certain people got together, how others drifted apart, etc.
Also, about Doof being bad in the specials, the creators have basically fixed the continuity, saying that he relapsed for a few months before going back to being good. Hard to break a habit, you know?
They also did mention that they're finally going to do Meep Me in St. Louis!

@@Ryboflavin That's fair. How I see it is that the future changes. There are so many possibilities. Everything we do changes it. It could be that during those current events at the time, that was what the future looked like in the specials. Granted, some of what was in the specials wasn't entirely Doof's idea or wasn't entirely evil. The Halloween one with Vanessa's costume party for instance was just Doof and Perry searching the manor for his relative's hidden treasure.
There IS room for the Phineas-Isabella dynamic. We can see how she gradually drifted away and went on to do other things. I think it would actually be one of the most interesting things other than seeing what Doof is up to. The original formula doesn't need to be followed. There's a LOT of characters we haven't seen on screen that we got told about or saw brief glimpses off that would be interesting to expand on. I'm talking about those in Phineas and Ferb's original families and Ferb's British links.
If they do that, it will be fundamentally breaking Phineas and Ferb. The original formula is what makes the show so unique and special. I am almost hoping it flops. Too many revivals fail and just end up ruining the original show.

P&F is a formulaic show at its core but I do hope they shake up the formula a bit or establish a new one so that things don't get stale quick. As for Doof being a good guy now, I don't think it would be a problem. As we've seen in Milo, anything he does erupts into hijinks regardless, and Perry legit hangs out with him now so that dynamic is still there.
I'm pleasantly optimistic for this revival.
Also I love your School-Era pitch for the show! The dynamic of the gang having Doof for a teacher whilst he and Agent P try to hide their secret is genius.
Personally they did that with season 3 and especially season 4.

A perfect way to explains the excessive amount of summer days would be to blame it on Doofenshmirtz's Do-Overinator from "The Last Day of Summer". In the episode, he claimed to have built that machine sometime earlier that summer, which means that he had probably used it a few times before. This can be used as a way of justifying as many extra days of summer as the writers want as they can just say some of them took place during the time-looped days from the Do-Overinator.
I feel like the only problem with that, though, is that it would require the boys to build the exact same thing every day. As the only people who can do things differently are Doof and Candace while everyone else loops.
@@Thomas_H._Smith My theory is that Perry and Doof were completely unaffected by it, due to them being in the room at the time when the machine was first activated or something and they just didn't know it. Because of this, Doof and Perry relived the same day a few times without noticing it and their minor different actions caused a butterfly effect, causing Phineas and Ferb to build different inventions and Candace to do different things or something like that.
I think this situation is a no-lose deal. If the new seasons are bad, we can ignore them. The creators won’t suffer because they’re working on other content. The show can remain beloved regardless of what happens here.
Been watching P&F since the beginning in the state of Florida. I really I am thankful that Disney TV animation is bringing back the golden show and have a lot of predictions for the new series. I still really want to see more Phinbella moments and would really like to see Isabella comfort Phineas for the first time because It never happened in the original series. Also I would like to see more of The Fireside Girls since Dan had that idea for a long time and a third movie but this time theatrical.

I actually watched both movies for Phineas and ferb; 2nd dimension, and candace against the universe, didn't like the 2nd one tbh it was mostly singing and less plot storyline u know for me, i'd prefer 2nd dimension over the 2nd recent move imo
I believe the "two TV Seasons" idea for the double-summer theory is what led to the 104 choice, but I don't have a source.
Each Meap episode being a Summer-indicator is also neat.
Also, consider for a plot. W'Ummer, it's a reversal of S'Winter.
They've said that they chose 104 days because most disney shows at the time got 52 episodes and each episode of P&F has two one-day segments. But that's not the same as them saying that the show is actually two summers. They've also said that the entire show is one summer.

I can see that happening since we seen that in the episode where Phieas, Ferb and the rest of the kids are young adults going to collage and Perry is assigned to check of Doof to make sure he aint doing evil since he retired at that time, but instead Doof created a charm to make him feel young and especially the O.W.A.C.A Files special when Doof became a new agent and did messed everything up AT TIMES since he is new along with Maggie, Harry and Karen but he and the new recruits learn to work together.
I'd like to see a bit more story arc stuff. They dabbled with it at times but didn't commit too much, while Milo got to do more of it. Don't go crazy with it, but it's a way to do more new things and mix things up.

I think an interesting Idea they could do is try and to make an alternate version of Milo from the 2nd Dimension where instead of everything going wrong, Milo and his family could maybe be really lucky in this Doofenshmirtz ruled world, like maybe protecting them from any disasters that occur or just something lucky happening to them
This can either go two ways, can pick up like it never left or ruin the legacy.
I think the best solution is for the next summer to start, everything be the same but instead of perry trying to stop doof from doing evil, perry can fix doofs mistakes when he messes up trying to do good.

An idea I'd like to see is an episode centered around the teenage characters, Candace, Stacy, Jeremy, Vanessa, and Jenny. I actually think the idea of having some episodes be set during the school year would be good for this as well as technically all these characters should be in high-school at the same time. Also while were at it throw Baljeet in there saying he skipped a bunch of grades since his marks were too high and have him and the teens work together to stop some sort of crazy Doof shenanigans at a pep-rally or something. This also provides the opportunity for some Stacy and Perry moments and has a reason for Phineas and Ferb not to be there.
I hope they make an episode where Linda finds out about the boys inventions and not have it be erased or they make an episode that says Linda always knew just didn’t care to go along with the popular fan theory.
hear me out, Doof being the creator of time travel accidentally resets the entire events (probably with a self destruct button) of the series to the start of summer, everyone's unaware of what happened and their summers back to the start, redoing everything and having new inventions and stuff

About Doofenshmirtz, the timeline is more complex than just "he stopped being evil and remained a good guy for the rest of his life". Yes, he gave evil up in the series finale. The thing is, in the christmas episode, which takes place during the same year as the series (so chronologically, after the summer), Doof is still evil. I guess you could say that this episode was made way before the series finale, and that the writers aren't going to take it into consideration while making s5 and s6, but I'm pretty sure Dan has stated somewhere that Doof has indeed gone back to evil, meaning that the christmas episode will be taken into consideration. So where does that leave us ? Well, Doof's chronoly is very messy, and it's kinda hard to put the pisces together for now ; but if there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that Doof has returned to evil after gave up on it at some point before next summer. Taking that into consideration, Doof could totally be evil in the new summer.

Thats different. They made the Christmas epsiode before they knew how the show would end. Doof backtracking would be depressing. If they want to keep him evil they would need to set the reboot directly after Night of the Living Pharmacists. What I would do is have one of the characters appear before the theme song and say. "This episode takes place directly after Night of the Living Pharmacists season 4 episode 223 Enjoy the show"

First off, Candace Against the Universe was way better written than Unfair Science Fair Redux.
Second, I don't care when it takes place as long as the quality and writing in the show is still in tact.

Ideas: What if Doof becomes evil again, or still has adventures with Perry but just as a good guy just like in Milo Murphy's law.
What if Doof and Perry team up to fight a new villain in the 2 new seasons? What if Norm becomes the new villian of the series? That would still be close enough for Doof to be in the show somewhat while still being familiar enough that it would be out of place. Doof doesn't have to come back as a villain, but it would be ideal if someone close to him because the new villian of the story. When you think about it, Doof was never really a villain in the first place so does it matter that he would still be portrayed as one in the later seasons?
What if Act Your Age was noncanon or in an alternate timeline? Or at the very least Isabella started to drift away much later on. What if the two new seasons occur the summer before the main summer where the 4 current seasons take place?
I hope Milo will make an appearance in the new seasons of Phineas and Ferb, although I doubt it.

If they go to school, since it’s the same school as milo (as a kid) I would hope you get like the principal saying how she had a kid once years ago.. and you get a flashback of baby milo causing a issue. (This could work as you don’t need to understand milo is a devolved character)
These are good ideas, one caveat to the school proposal is that Dan Povenmire himself has said that the show really isn't about Phineas and Ferb (despite the title). They are not the plot of the episodes. They do not grow, change or learn. It is Candace and Doof who work through something they face, the boys and Perry are just the catalysts to their development. Being in a school setting, it would be more difficult for the boys to directly affect Candace.
I think a good idea of how to deal with Doof while still keeping the formula would be making Doof an anti-hero. Idk if that’s the right word exactly, but his episodes would revolve around some hairbrained scheme to do good, but they always go awry. Perry has to fix these problems so that the invention can actually help people. Maybe secretly, so he doesn’t hurt Doof’s feelings. I feel like there’s some potential there the show could mine.

1: Chronicles of Meap - I'm very interested in that episode & the crew will have a ton of fun adding in the extra scenes. The next episode could be a reference to "Mt St Helens" (Meap St Helens). Or.... "The Chronicles of Meap Episode 42: Launching from Kennedy Meap Center". Also, I really hope the crew adds in that scene where Meap fights Suzy; I think the entire community needs that. And if it's not added, someone's gonna animate it by themselves....
2: Future P&F - In case they wanna show their future kids, I think Dan would need to contact another DeviantArt user. KicksterAsh created the character designs from "Act Your Age"; Dan could talk to users "Angelus19", "ElyPandita" (aka Sam-ely-Ember) & get their character "Marie Flynn" (Daughter of Phineas & Isabella) & "Thomas" (Son of Ferb & Vanessa) to appear on the show. I know that another user named "MarieFan" has another character named "Nathaniel" (Alternate son of Phineas & Isabella); he looks like Phineas with black hair. They could also add "Ariel" (Alternate daughter of Ferb & Vanessa).
3: The Timeline - I agree with your timeline since the show's timeline reminds me of the timeline for "Miraculous Ladybug" where all of the episodes are supposed to take place in 9 months. At least your version is much better for me to understand.

Having the "I, Brobot" clips playing while talking about the friend episodes vs the brothers-only episodes gave me an idea: they should make a sequel episode to "I, Brobot" that gives all the friends their own robot versions! Though I suppose the idea of robot Flynn-Fletchers has already been explored at OWCA, it'd be fun to see how the boys could expand on the concept of their Brobot idea.
The high school plots could even feature Doofenshmirtz as Phineas and Ferb‘s teacher because why not.

- The world get taken over by llamas (Cavendish said it happened, when he was reading from a hologram in a library in the future the first time the Pistachions took over)
- The third rise of the Pistachions from Bradley's vine arm
- If Mr. Drako is really a vampire
- If the leader of P.I.G. is actually an alien or a robot
- Whether C.I.D.D. the robot actually keeps his promise to remember Milo when they take over
- Melissa becoming a time traveller through her mentoring program
- Doof become Dr. Time
- The origin, motivations, and actions we haven't seen from the aliens Milo crashed on in the pilot episode and in the pace car episode. They said they were going to warn them, but warn them from what?
- How Diogee came to be Milo's dog. Without Milo, there is no Diogee, and we see this because he disappeared in "World Without Milo" (episode 31 of the series)! We need to see how he got there and his thoughts/motivations on staying.
- More of the truck guy! We need another episode where he makes multiple appearances. We need to see him evolving quietly in the background. Meeting a girl. Falling in love. Getting a house. Having kids. Getting a better job. Experiencing race car driving.
I really WANT to see
- Milo and Amanda get together and how they handle life together when they have a family
- Why Dakota and Cavendish's boss went back in time to warn his past self not to fire them, at the Christmas party
- That time Cavendish got milked to death
- What time travel error caused Chad's neighbors not to know who he was even after years of living next to each other (see the beginning of episode 31, when he is talking with Zack)

I'm gonna be honest, the last thing I wanna see is just going back to the original summer. It worked for Candace Against the Universe but for a 40 episode series I wanna see the next summer, not to mention Dan has said he wanted to do the next summer for years before the revival was pitched.

Concept for the Perry half of the show. Perry is infact working with Good Doof, but their Nemesis looks up to the old Evil Doof. OWCA agents have to hide their identities from their Nemesis, so Good Doof has to pretend to be Evil Doof to remain undercover. This way we still get Evil Doof but this time he has to hold himself back creating new story pottential, We also get Good Doof.
A problem with the school episodes is that Candace wouldn’t be there to see their wacky inventions and wouldn’t be able to try to bust them. A big plot of every episode.
If the story still takes place in that single summer, there should be no worries about Isabella being over phineas, Doofenschmerz turning good and anything. Because those shall be what will happen later than the stories of new seasons. But lines like Morty-Vanessa-ship are done for sure. I actually kinda love the pair of Morty and Vanessa.
Man, your ideas are awesome, I would actually really like to see some of those in the new seasons. No matter what, as long as Disney doesn't stick their nose into the show too deeply or change anything for the worse, with Dan and Swampy in charge I'm sure they'll make it great because they both know what the community would want to see and what they wouldn't. Fairly optimistic for it all!

I always felt that Phineas and Ferb Crossovers should be background things.
like Phineas and Ferb are doing their thing, inventing some contraption, or it's the establishing shot of Doof Evil inc. and in the background of you see the trio in a canoe, Melissa looking concerned, Zack screaming, and Milo standing on the bow with doonkelberry cake on a fishing pole, leading the doonkelberry bats that are lifting them hundreds of feet off the ground. and visa versa (Doof's blimp in the background of Murphy's law shenanigans (not unlike his cameo in Hamster and Gretel (p.s. BALLOONY!!!!)))
At the beginning of every episode it could phines and ferb remembering past summers before season 1-4 so doof is still evil Isabell is still having fun with the boys and there’s not even more days of the 1-4 season summer.
I got an idea for the doof and perry B storyline. Doof is fighting a villain with an evil ray. As you may guess he zaps Doofenshmirtz and then doofenshmirtz evil incorporated reopens and perry has to convince dr. D that he’s a good guy and over time scheme after scheme, doof on the last episode gets zapped by a ray made by Perry, the Goodinator. (This could be made by phinease and ferb while doof is trying to take over the Tristate where in this attempts he gets very close to taking it over.)
If the objective is to keep the formula similar yet slightly different, then I do see one small issue with the school episode thing: Candace. Being significantly older than Phineas and Ferb, she probably wouldn't even be in the same building as the boys for several years straight.

I love all these ideas (unfortunately the Perry speaks idea goes against the rule that Perry has to appear like a "mindless domestic pet" so he can't (appear to) have any inner thoughts, which is how the pet translator episode wraps up)
for the third Chronicles of Meap episode (or if you want to go with the bit, the third Chronicles of Meap/Phineas and Ferb Crossover) I hope it ends with Doof having to take a long bus ride home, where he gets to sing his hit single "Sucker for the Sounds of Mass Transit" there could be a TV screen in the bus playing ads, maybe in-between an in-ride movie (this could be because it's a long bus ride, or the bus was sponsored by totally tools, or even it's just one of the many things Rodger does to improve the city while in office)
anyway, after showing the tail end of some ad like a political ad for Rodger, or an ad for totally tools, or maybe a Hamster & Gretel action figure (although I'm not sure the timelines can line up for that, if not then there could be a reference to Professor Exclamation before his industrial accident, selling used tires or running "Exclamation Finance" from the first episode, giving a "double bent-elbow thumbs-up guarantee that he'll never turn to villainy" or "risking my elbows so you can save money!" or some other tongue-in-cheek joke), an ad plays for the next, "they don't plan on making this trailer" trailer, and of course, in this one is the Suzy clip, to which Doof says the same thing he says in the second trailer, "wait wasn't that Suzy one supposed to be in this one?" so now it works as part of the trailer and in context

Phineas and Ferb started their handyman business, until one day, while trying to fix a bathtub drain, they were sucked down a secret magic portal pipe, landing in a magical land full of sweets and candy, the Kingdom of Sweets. The evil Pumbaa Pack (based off the Piglins from Minecraft), lead by the evil King Porkus Pumbaa, has invaded the kingdom and has turned its inhabitants (the candy people) into inanimate objects (stones, bricks and plant pots), and has also captured its ruler and only one who can break this curse: Princess Sugarplum. Upon hearing the news, Phineas and Ferb must go from world to world, fighting runts, missiles, walking bombs, centipedes, gophers and so on, to save the princess from the evil pumbaa king.
My biggest concern is Disney themselves and what restrictions the might put on the crew.
They might give them free regin or they might restrict them based on their wants for the show. The show was brought back to make money so they might limit what they are allowed to do, as Disney wants more classic Phineas and Ferb to sell. This happened with the second movie with lots of plots being shot down in order to have it feel like classic Phineas and Ferb.

I hope that the episodes instead just jump to different parts in time and never bother explaining the actual timeline and keep making fun of its own inconsistency. We could see them in uni, see them in the past, etc. They could even make the episodes parallel each other.

I like this, not only do you get to see many different phases of their lives but you can also be excited for what phase the next episode will take place in. Sadly, this definitely won't be the case tho

Honestly, I don't know why we never got a spin off series following either Doof 101 or the OWCA Files. Those were such fun ideas, I would have watched those. I never liked Phineas or Isabella or Baljeet or Candace. Stacy, Jeremy, Perry, Vanessa, Heinz, they were all good or at the very least good enough, but seriously the other dragged the show down for me. If the series only focused on Heinz and Perry (which were the only parts of the show that I liked and watched the show for) then it would make it better.
Edit: Oh my god. Pet sitting Perry??? But how would Heinz (who doesnt really know the kids) end up stuck with Perry when the kids have grandparents that could watch him like they did before? More than likely, one of their friends or family would watch him, if they couldnt, Stacy would, maybe if not her then Jeremy. It would have to be a lot of forced drama to make them run out of options to have Perry end up with Heinz, and even then it would most likely be Candace asking Vanessa to watch Perry.
Also, Perry talking sounds cursed. But if he wanted to talk, they could find a work around, like him constantly carrying a notepad to write or maybe him knowing sign language or something, just not him actually talking, not unless Perry somehow becomes Human for an episode, then he could talk for that episode, but not as a Platypus because that would break the balance.
Dont forget about the voce actors and them practicing phineas and ferb's voice

Well heres something fresh, we could expand on the doof and milo Murphys law dynamic, having phineas and ferb team up for more fun with both milo and doofenshmertz.
I'd always wanted to see them do a phineas and ferb back in school
So, for ideas - it's easy to get bogged down on an annual basis - but taking an 8 year break, you start to see all the missed chances - you start to get a fresh look at something old and can start to see more ideas that you wish you had done
For the 104 days, yeah, they did things in the morning, in the afternoon, and the evening, so it allows for 104 x 3 - AT A MINIMUM - so yeah, it fits
Eh I've never bought the "multiple ideas per day" theory. Firstly, it'd mean Perry defeats Doof 3 times a day. This feels pretty unlikely given their interactions, coupled with all the Major Monogram meetings.
Then, most episodes show the boys at the start of the day, as they say "I know what we're going to day *today,* as if it's the main event.
On the few occasions they literally do more than one thing in a day, Phineas treats it as a special occasion while saying "I know what *else* we're going to do today."
I love phineas and ferb and it is a large paet of my childhood.
But i dont thunk reviving it is a good move.

We could also just remove Act Your Age from the show's canon. Would it really be so bad to cut one episode from canon to subvert our expectations and let Phineas and Issebella have something? Especially if we go with this is the next summer, Google says they're 8-10, so if we're in the next summer they're 9-11, and while it would be on the younger side it wouldn't be unreasonable for them to start dating the way kids do.
Another cool idea for an episode or two, would be somehow the effects of the Amnesia-Inator get reversed making the whole gang remember it. They already teased the idea that memories can be recovered in the episode where they start singing "Summer Where Do We Begin?" And then say they all know the song but don't know from where.
What if they go for more story driven seasons? They could solve some issues with this and could be used to explain the endless summer, but also it would take away the Phineas and Ferb charm so idk.
Whatever ends up happening, I have decent hopes that the new episodes will be just as good as the old ones! Considering I really liked against the universe, these are some really good ideas and I hope some of them happen (even if none of the creators see it)
I think it would be interesting if they made it to where there was an actual reason that the summer goes on for so long like some sort of villain who makes it go on forever
