You two make history interesting and fun to learn. even at the graveyards ;) Hope to see more on the mines in Kentucky and W. Virgina. Maybe my hubbys family (Harveys) will show up in them.
Good afternoon, Miss Heather. Nice of you to give Leo the day off. I've watched ya'lls videos on these events and I remember stories I heard growing up, all related to coal mining and the fighting that came because of it. I guess I just have a hard time understanding why the folks and families working in the mines would put up with the nonsense and ridiculous conditions they worked and lived in. I guess it's easy today, when economy and job market is much better, but then you did what you had to for your family to survive. I guess the coal company owners and politicians they bought did not care about workers and their families at all. Thank ya'll so much for your stories, giving locations, and all related history you can. In my opinion ya'll do the best job. As far as another channel being critical of what ya'll do, I wouldn't waste time paying them any mind, and I wouldn't mention them at all. No need giving them any recognition. Ya'll are doing a great job and make a great team ❤ keep up the great work. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels.
It's difficult to keep track of who is related to whom as an 'outsider', so to have a visual and excellent explanation is really great. Your channel is going from strength to strength due your your due diligence in all that you do! Thank you for sharing.
Hello guys. Just came across your channel and I'm trying to watch all videos. I have a question for you. The town you went to Matewan ( don't know if that's how you spell it lol) but is there enough to do for a day trip? Is that where you ride the boats?? Any info you would give me would be great. I wanted yo visit after I seen your channel. Thanks.
This channel is top notch. The two of you do diligence in your research to keep this channel interesting and inviting. Keep doing the good work that y'all work tirelessly for.
The more I learn about sid the more I respect him. The 87 movie is ok but a remake is needed. Not sure why a movie hasn't been made about sid. I enjoy all the channels about that area's history and not sure what the other channels are fighting over but glad you guys stay the course and not get involved.
Thank you for the clarification & visual of the family tree. I don't know what the video reference was but don't let them rent the space in your head you do an excellent job if you made a mistake it's because you're human. We all make them. As I'm fond of saying the last man who walked on water lived 2000 yrs. ago. You & Leo are doing a great job. Keep doing what you do & tell the haters to stuff it. See you soon
P.s I'm a really huge fan and love the nostalgia you videos bring. I know I gas up the comment section with ridiculous things. But it's only because , I actually love and appreciate the hard work you do.❤
Hey there, I grew up in Matewan. I was told by my dad my whole life that Sid himself walked up to Testermen and shot him. I can't find evidence for this claim either. Interesting video, thanks for this.
WOW! I wonder what happened to his teeth. Otherwise, he was a good looking man. My goodness! It seems that the Hatfield family were a big part of WVirginia's history. They apparently had their fingers into everything. Thank you for this very informative video.
I’m really surprised Sid Hatfield and Ed Chambers weren’t killed before the trial. Does anybody know why they waited until the trial began to murder these two men? Was it because they had point blank shots? Just curious in case I missed the reason on this video.
I saw an explanation that they knew they'd likely get away with it in McDowell County where his trial was, as that county was much friendlier to the company. It's the same reason his trial was moved there supposedly.
Ole sid had a smile only a mother or British man could love. The fact he was nicknamed "Smiling Sid" and he was proud of it shows how much of a lol cow he truely was. It's a well known fact that he only made police as a joke. Think of "officer Huey" . He was shot because like something from mayberry he happened to discover the makeing of the new world order. The mayor's death rumor were begun by the local quilting group. They were pre communist spys with a sweet old lady front! He discovered things and they silenced him for it. Hell , even our politicians today still won't eat carrot cake.

Good Lord. I’m so glad you clarified that Sid’s teeth had gold caps…I thought his teeth were rotten. 🤭
I'm pretty sure those teeth were rotten. They just had gold caps on top of rotten teeth
Thank you for sharing this.

Sid has a nice grave. He is one of those small guys but larger than life.
WOW! I wonder what happened to his teeth. Otherwise, he was a good looking man. My goodness! It seems that the Hatfield family were a big part of WVirginia's history. They apparently had their fingers into everything. Thank you for this very informative video.

Does the other channel have a museum? I will not support them . Watched a couple videos and don’t like his style. . Love you guys from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
Danged if that wasn't EXACTLY where my mind went, too.
I bet he knows it all just ask him
He was a good looking guy - except for his gnashers😂
lol😂
What was the name of the two coal miners that got killed alongside Hatfield? And any idea where Sid's wife is buried at?
I dont know the names offhand, I think one was a young boy or man named Tad, Shes buried in Ohio, she married shortly after Sid and he died too
