  • In this RUclips video, I had the incredible opportunity to train with Dieselnoi, the most feared Muay Thai fighter in history. He was so tough that nobody would step into the ring with him, which eventually forced him to retire.
    I want to give a special shout-out to Mos and Payakaroon Gym for making this collaboration possible.
    Also, I'd like to give a big thanks to Diederick for recording the action and to Frank for translating Dieselnoi's insights.
    Join us on this extraordinary journey into the world of a true Muay Thai legend, as we uncover the secrets of Dieselnoi Chor Thanassukran's remarkable techniques.

    Dieselnoi one of the all time great! His knees will send you to another realm, his tall stature made it all the more devastating, especially Thai people in general not as tall as westerners so he seemed even more tall amongst the Thai fighters. I am 45 now , in the 90s when I was first competing , I had tried to get to learn from him but didn't have connections. Today with Internet and money through streaming, I'm sure I would've been able to get it now ,these are so important. It wouldve been one of biggest moments of my life to meet Dieselnoi. I met Samart and I actually fought an exhibition against Rambaa Somdej , who of course is from a younger generation but still a legend

    Muaythai industry in the 80s was standing on gambling revenue. If the odds don't come close, there will be no money. Dieselnoi is considered to be a very tall man for Thai people, so he has the reach advantages in a fight. And as you can see, he's not just a brute in a ring, but a technician. His skill is very close to Samart and even beaten Samart decisively. No one was willing to fight him, and even if they were, promoters won't, since there was zero to none contest.
    There were lots of Muay Thai legends who were struck by this unfortunate circumstance.

      Thank you so much for your comment. Fascinating insights into the Muay Thai scene in the 80s! Dieselnoi's dominance, both in skill and reach advantage, truly set him apart. It's unfortunate that some legends faced challenges in finding worthy opponents due to the nature of the industry.

    for to kick the the inside leg with the knee during middle kick attack(2min 17 sec) you have to stop the leg before?

    • @TinoBrunner1
      @TinoBrunner1  11 месяцев назад

      Dieselnoi said as a Muay Khao Fighter, taking kicks and enduring pain is part of the game. However, a smart move is to go for knee strikes to the hamstring. This not only hurts in the moment but messes with the tendon, making it tough for your opponent to throw kicks again. So he is not really stopping the kick before, but it might be effective as well if you catch the kick first and then initiate the attack with the knee on the hamstring.

      @@TinoBrunner1 yes, and it's so sad that there are very very less real OG Muay-Khao nowadays even Thai Nak-Muay, probably because of a lot of rules that limited the Muay-khao style and stance.
      That's why nowadays there are only Nak-muay who just only love to throw some knees and pretended to be a Muay-khao but never know even how to stand and fight like the real Muay-khao. and also many new generation fighters just thought that when they could throw a knee then they already a Muay-khao fighter. Lol
      Yes, for me I think it's about the new generation rules that made Muaythai nearly not like Muaythai anymore. Lol
      And it's so sad just to imagine about the Ancient Muaythai Master that said

      As far as I know, at that time, it was not very common for Thai fighters to go overseas to fight. Muay Thai wasn't as popular as it is nowadays, and Lumpinee Stadium was the most prestigious stadium at that time. If you made it there, you were definitely considered the best fighter. Thai fighters had fewer opportunities, and perhaps promoters were not interested in sending them overseas, considering Muay Thai wasn't as popular in the West at that time
