I was a Demonstration Sales Pilot for Mitsubishi Aircraft International in the late 70's and early 80's. We were demonstrating for sale the MU-2 series of prop-jets and then the MU-300/Diamond One.
In December 1985, Mitsubishi sold the Diamond series design rights to Beech.
It's amazing that the air-frame is still flying today known as, yes the 'Beechjet 400' series. Thanks to Beech, and others, for the updates in power, avionics and more for making this possible.
Mitsubishi always was well known for making a air-frame that would stand the test of time and that is proven with the MU-2 and MU-300.

Speaking from experience FBOs and their line crews can’t stand these airplanes, they almost always need a GPU to start, and it’s always a pain to fuel the Trunk tank
