- I think the drop strategy came into play when it was evident that Lessort had to play 30+ minutes twice a week. He could not have kept up hedging out aggresively every time. - On paper, it's crazy to think Grigonis is now the 11th player in the rotation. I am sure there are important games where he will get big minutes, puerly because he already understands the system. Let's not forget that last year was the 1st time he played crucial playoff and F4 games as a role player. - That play by J at 9:40 was such a clutch defensive play Great analysis!

I'm an Olympiacos fan, but I have to admit that Grant and Juancho are elite defenders. Despite that, the whole Greece said Juancho is an actor. Thomas Walkup and Jeriant Grant are the best defenders in euroleague
Its not an exaggeration to say that juancho is the best off ball defender in the euroleague...its not everything about the stats ...with him on the floor panathinaikos just plays better and wins...its simple as that
Eye testing and stats really come together here. Juancho, one of the players who played enough games with Panathinaikos to have valid stats, had the best NERTG at +10.9, even though in the offense wasn’t that great last season. Plus, the team’s defensive rating dropped from 110.2 to 104.8 while he was on the court.

Πχ σε ένα από τα τελευταία του videos αναφέρει για τον Γιουρτσέβεν ότι είναι πολύ αθλητικός παίκτης επειδή έχει έφεση στο rebound ενώ ο παίκτης έχει καλές τοποθετήσεις και timing. Το πιο απλό παράδειγμα δηλαδή... πρέπει να είσαι άσχετος εντελώς. Αν πάμε στα πιο πολύπλοκα... και σχετικά με το θέμα του video... είπε ότι ο Παναθηναϊκός έπαιζε τυχαία εντελώς στην άμυνα επειδή μάρκαρε τον Γουόκαπ με διαφορετικό τρόπο... και ότι μπερδεύτηκαν οι παίκτες του Παναθηναϊκού που σε κάποια φάση λέει του έκαναν double team (!!!) ενώ είναι πάγια τακτική του Αταμάν να φεύγει η μπάλα από τα χέρια του χειριστή! Μιλάμε για αστεία πράγματα από παίκτη επαγγελματία που έπαιξε στο υψηλότερο επίπεδο.
Συμφωνώ αλλά άλλο αναλυτής και άλλο σχολιαστής. Ο ένας αναλύει βήμα βημά τη φάση και ο άλλος σχολιαζει τι βλέπει με γυμνό μάτι χωρις να έχει ίδεα τι έχει συμβεί.

I believe Kalaitzakis defense is by far world class,,,cant imagine this player improved so much,,,hes feet are stuck in ground while he follows the attacker,,,,X factor guy!!!
The player is open on the side or in the corner because someone has to disrupt the roller. If the roller gets the ball, it’s an easy dunk. It’s a bit of a cat-and-mouse game. Every defense has its weaknesses.

The player is open on the side or in the corner because someone has to disrupt the roller. If the roller gets the ball, it’s an easy dunk. It’s a bit of a cat-and-mouse game. Every defense has its weaknesses.

Probably works best with players who can only do one thing (shoot) when standing in the corner and cannot attack the close-out best
