Dr. Cox has been one of the biggest influences in my life, my career, and my way of thinking. I apply her innovative methods and the things she has taught me in my own classroom. Almost every one of my students has told me that my class has been their favorite and many have expressed how it has changed them for the better. I am a product of Dr. Cox' teaching. Her advice and teaching she has shared with me has ended up indirectly blessing the lives of hundreds of my students. She seriously rocks.
wow this is truly amazing... it is an eye opener to me... I almost cried watching it... helps us understand teens more of today and gladly embrace them while they are in this stage and mentor them.
The thing I like in this talk s about we need to disconnect and to connect , I love the word , and I hope to gain another ideas from this account. Thank you
Agree with much of this. However, this is easier said than done. Teachers are fighting a losing battle because they are assaulted on all fronts - administrators who couldn't hack it in the classroom but become their bosses, clueless and entitled parents, and a public that does not give the profession the respect it deserves. Furthermore, where is the social responsibility on tech companies who only care about profits? Frankly, the coddling is producing a generation of young people who are so soft they can't do anything on their own, can't take the slightest bit of criticism, and whose work ethic is at all time lows.
Rubbish, the generation of today are much entrepreneurial, they have lower wages than previous generations but still they carry on... they are soft but compassionate, they can't do anything their own, you mean collaborative and smart.... work ethic... we give you pensions despite lower wages, get a grip on reality
ok so like I have to watch this for school because I forgot to do my work for it and turn it in, but like how am I supposed to put down what she says? She uses so many big words and like I don't know how to put that down on this paper that I'm doing.. I'm kind of shocked that I don't know all of these big words because I'm in 7th grade but still..
