  • Hey friends! In this video I'm going to show you how to use and decorate the Vertical Happy Planner! This layout is my go to favorite layout and the most user friendly for new planners. I moved from being a mostly dashboard layout planner to the vertical layout and I absolutely love the switch. If you have any tips or tricks for using The Happy Planner vertical layout, leave them in the comments below.

Extension packs are great for experimenting with a new layout until you figure out what you want to do, before using your actual planner. 😊

This is the kind of beginner video I was looking for in Dec of 21. I was trying to find out how to do the different styles and brands of planners. I had just discovered HP and a little confused. So, thank you for this video. Even though I have figured out what works best for me, I'm also open to new ideas. I did gain a lot of understanding of possibilities from this. I'm a dashboard planner, but with all the adaptability you showed, I feel I could make a vertical work for me as a modified dashboard. Plus, you make it clear to decorate to the amount that suits us. The first videos I did find made me feel like I had to super decorate. At that time, I was totally functional. I think I stayed with you because you always say to do the level of decorating that you are comfortable with. Gradually, in the last year, I have started using stickers in a functional style. Now I want to decorate more and more. Which I've started doing. But some weeks, like this one, are so busy that I make the weekly mostly functional. I'm retired and fighting health issues, so I have no need for daily pages. Five years ago, I was retired but still very active. At that time, I might have used occasional daily pages. Thank you for helping me grow and adapt.

I found you when you were at the end of your dashboard journey and staying cause you are just awesome (I use both now for different things). Thank you for the pen suggestion last night!

Thanks for the information and visual. I currently use a vertical and thought i might like the dashboard, but not ready to venture to something else.

Love the tips in this video. Helping me get used to this layout. I like to use my classic paper punch to add things to the boxes. Do you ever use one for your planner?

Thanks for the tips! What is the name of that black and white sticker book with the dots and task list bullets?
