Actually American’s smiles 🙂 is the main thing I like about them, I have no issues with that. Much better than some others walking in grumpy faces. I just hope “some” Americans would educate themselves about the country before visiting it (just the basics) as to avoid a lot of awkward situations, unlike other tourists they seem to know less about the world. No hate.
Also if you're traveling internationally from the US, the best place to start is Australia. Yes, their accent can be difficult to decipher from an American POV but they are the most culturally similar imo. More than the UK or CAD. Plus the AUS dollar is weaker than the US dollar meaning you are spending less than the sticker price (though everything is ore expensive in return.)

I live in San Diego Ca, born and raised, which is a huge tourist destination. I can confirm that most if not all of these stereotypes are correct. Many of the British tourists are very polite but not very stylish. We like to play spot the Brits at the beach and it isn't very difficult. Pasty doughy bodies and black socks. I don't mind the tourists here though because they bring in tons of cash and I can meet people from all over the world without ever leaving my city. I do love listening to the Americans who think adding a Mexican accent to english is the same as speaking Spanish 😂😂😂
Americans of Northwestern European origin should be careful when they "I'm Irish", "I'm French", or I'm German when traveling to Europe. Locals will assume they are citizens of whatever country they proclaim. it is better to say "I'm an American of Celtic/Germanic origin".
I can vouch for some of these. Sports team shirts are very common. I have also been prone to speak English louder when not understood. I try to show with my hands or with something I may have, but I do say stuff louder and slower in hopes they may get it. XD
I went to India and we were taught some of the cultural things first, like as a woman I couldn’t wear shorts or anything, and the “taking a picture” thing was the opposite of what it says here. I almost felt like a celebrity with how often the children at the camp I volunteered at and just in public with how many people asked for a picture
As an American if you see us eating your food wrong or doing something disrespectful correct us. I love Koreans for that. They correct you if you are wrong without hesitation.
Brazilian Tourists are also very annoying, as a Brazilian I have to admit we are way too familiar with people we never saw in our life, we also wear Soccer T-Shirts basically everywhere (mainly from the national team of the country we are visiting) and we tend to take pictures of everything. (Just how I see my own countries tourists, though it would be fun to tell other watchers that) Another fun fact about brazilians is the "psiu" we use this sound to call the attention of people without needing to touch or knowing the person name. Try calling someone atention with "Psiu" if u get an answer that person is probably brazilian
This is so true. I taught English in Asia, Europe and South America and did my best to assimilate. It was great praise when told We likeYou’re not like the other Americans
As an American who frequents various other countries: I cant even lie. The bit about wearing anything anywhere applies 100% to me. Socks and Sandals? Yep. Flashy sneakers? Yep. Shorts? You bet. Pajamas? Yessir. Packs and bags plus a tacky beanie? 100% all the time 😂👍

Ugh. Makes me not want to even attempt travel outside of the US.
@@priciliar.s.simarmata2373 This is a guide lf what not to do .
American tourists in Kenya are actually pretty chill but also very adventurous
Honestly I know people who fit these stereotypes perfectly but I fit none of these(expect the clothing thing)lol
I am literally the opposite of all these stereotypes, being born in America myself.
Americans: we don't like people entering our country
Also Americans : lEts gO To ThE MeXiCaN pYrAmIdS
Im definately not an average American. I barely smile, I love knowledge, and I hate fast food
How DARE Americans dress comfy on vacation lol. Also I learned to not SMILE at anyone when I go out
Stop these are stereotypes🤦
Wut
Also in Ireland they always say there Irish even though they’ve lived in America and were born in America
But I think Americans are funny
Ahaha that is so true
They mean they have Irish ancestry.
Americans of Northwestern European origin should be careful when they "I'm Irish", "I'm French", or I'm German when traveling to Europe. Locals will assume they are citizens of whatever country they proclaim. it is better to say "I'm an American of Celtic/Germanic origin".
Tayirjan it’s better to say I’m an american
I don’t care about your origin
You’re an american
I'm an Irish french mix but I was born in canada
Fun fact: it's normal to wear socks with sandals in czech republic
AMERICANS DO NOT DRESS IN BADLY SIZED BAGGY WEIRD CLOTHES, AND WE DO NOT WEAR HAWAIIAN FLOWER CLOTHES
All the Americans are defending themselves in the comments.
Talk about loyalty?
@Alex Denham lol
Well yes, if a person sees something that isn't true to them they will often speak out against it,not just Americans.
Typical
Massive Cow Breakout 755 not really
3:46 only some will get this.
"Do you speak English"
"Yes I do"
"Where the train station"
"Yes I do"
Lol
I can vouch for some of these. Sports team shirts are very common. I have also been prone to speak English louder when not understood. I try to show with my hands or with something I may have, but I do say stuff louder and slower in hopes they may get it. XD
There was this guy at school that asked me if I was Brazilian... Why?
I was speaking to my mom on the phone. I was speaking in Spanish. 🤡
Americans be like:Australia is so dangerous
I be like:your country has more fatal shootings a year than shark snake and lizard attacks a year
Literally who says that
I mean
It is a stereotype that Australia is dangerous
Not sure who argued about that but Australia does have more environmental danger
Who said your place was dangerous
WE’RE NOT ALL LIKE THAT. RELAX YOU’LL LIVE LONGER
When I lived in San Francisco, tourists asked me where a Denny's is. Seriously, SF is a food capital and they wanted Denny's.
literally hundreds of americans come to visit my country every year and ive never seen any single one of those stereotypes.
Yep. Don’t care how I look, rather be completely neutral so a T-shirt will do fine as for socks and sandals I don’t undersrand
I’m from Australia and some Americans that I met didn’t know that there were 2 hemispheres and we have the opposite seasons. (Eg. Christmas in Summer)
"Americans that I met didn’t know that there were 2 hemispheres and we have the opposite seasons."

@@meareyesso7116 I'm pure Chinese and i agree.

I’m American and I can confirm all of this
WHen my family traveled to the Paris, we heard a lot of Americans from about 10 meters. They are so loud and rude :(
But how do you know that they were americans??
@@sexyyeyo Cos they had American accents......
As an American if you see us eating your food wrong or doing something disrespectful correct us. I love Koreans for that. They correct you if you are wrong without hesitation.
American stereotypes are basically when yankees being ridiculed as southerners by foreigners.
The infographic show: Americans know less about the world then the rest of the world
Me: what did you just say
Brazilian Tourists are also very annoying, as a Brazilian I have to admit we are way too familiar with people we never saw in our life, we also wear Soccer T-Shirts basically everywhere (mainly from the national team of the country we are visiting) and we tend to take pictures of everything. (Just how I see my own countries tourists, though it would be fun to tell other watchers that)
Another fun fact about brazilians is the "psiu" we use this sound to call the attention of people without needing to touch or knowing the person name. Try calling someone atention with "Psiu" if u get an answer that person is probably brazilian
You draw the Germany flag wrong at the Germany scene
Germany flag colour order:
Black
Red
Yellow
Hehe they drew it right at the top corner but wrong in the picture
@@Chickitten yeah
@@Chickitten it look like a Belgium flag being flipped side way
They were trying to show American ignorance
3:58 thank me later
This is so true. I taught English in Asia, Europe and South America and did my best to assimilate. It was great praise when told We likeYou’re not like the other Americans
As an American who frequents various other countries: I cant even lie. The bit about wearing anything anywhere applies 100% to me. Socks and Sandals? Yep. Flashy sneakers? Yep. Shorts? You bet. Pajamas? Yessir. Packs and bags plus a tacky beanie? 100% all the time 😂👍
5:54 I'm applauding this channel for its direct honesty.
Here's a tip for Americans traveling to Colombia learn Colombian Spanish. If you cannot do that learn how to dance!!!
This kid asked me if I speak spanish... I speak Finnish
