Don't think I have any photos of the rig, but it would depend on your housing. On Ikelite D200 there's a 3/4" screw hole center placed on top of the housing. Optionally you could mount it to one of the sides using arms & clamps. Assuming you are operating it as a B-cam, you want to make sure it has as much field of view as possible, ideally lifting it up a bit to avoid for example your dome blocking the view. For me the filesize is a bit rough to have it rolling the entire time, so I usually hit record for specific moments. Hope that helps 😊
@@AquaticImages thank you for the reply. Do you attach the invisible stick between the Ikelite and the x4 ? or mount the dive housing directly to the camera rig ? In my case my camera rig is made up of for now a dji osmo action 4, an aluminium support with handles that allows attachment of lights, where i have 2 lights mounted. With my current setup i have the big problem of the camera overheating while in the underwater case, so i cant film much. To prevent this, i have set it so that the screen turn off after i start record, and that caused me to make a lot of mistakes, with framing and forgetting that the camera is not recording . Which just makes me insane now. I am also thinking to have the extension with the X4 camera, when i buy it and go to a dive, to be able to extend it in front of me, but that setup comes in the way of my current rig... have to think about this more, unlockly my next adventure is earliest next year before easter... so i have some time
@@kjdtm Sorry to hear your OM4 is overheating. I don't recall having that issue at all when I had it. Did you optionally try to reduce frame rates, perhaps shooting in 4K 25 or 30 frames to reduce heat buildup? I didn't use the invisible selfie stick when I mounted the X4 to my rig, just a short double arm. However wouldn't be a bad idea to use it, as you could telescope it out whenever you want a different angle.
Another problem is that the dive case is REALLY delicate. Everything is plastic so is so easy to scratch it. I bought it but I’ll return it and buy a cheap one from AliExpress. Because this camera is ideal for apnea/snorkel shots, not for 40 meters deep videos. So it wouldn’t be necessary to have the expensive original case.
It is indeed plastic, but I haven't had any issues myself using it and travelling with it. Always kept it in the soft bag that came with. Sorry yours got scratched!
the price for me now for the dive bundle is 733 euro and 650$ WTF?!?!? why is it soo much cheaper in USD ??? edit: your video is excelent, i'm just frustrated that everything is more expensive in EU...
Great pragmatic video!!! No one mentioned the diving low light limitations, still not sure if I should get this yet 😅
Tnx
Can we get a picture on how you mounted the insta 360 x4 to your large camera setup ? and how would you use it while mounted there ?

Oh I hear you buddy, I'm Norwegian. Things are usually cheaper in EUR compared to NOK 🤣🤣
Same i feel you. Cheaper in USD than AUD 😢
