That “Random guy walking the dog” isn’t any one important as such, but the dog is.
The first time Barry Island Promenade was shown, a dog ran straight across the shot. The writers and director liked it so much that they had the same thing happen every time the promenade was shown, turning it into a literal Running Gag.

@@TheDudgies Hi, nope as someone working in production I will enlighten you on a few things you mentioned. The 1am thing above could be a night scene yes, or it could have been something wanting to be kept private from the public. Along with the previous video on you at the pub whilst there filming. They usually use those black curtains outside a location to make it look dark outside not just to stop public from seeing in. Also you were totally correct on the fact itll take hours yet to film something if cams aren't set up! As you seen in the final special the scene was filmed at night between Mathew and Joanna Page!
