2025 Yuyuan Lantern Festival taken on-site with no filters

The Yuyuan Lantern Festival originates from the Lantern Festival, which has been celebrated since the Han Dynasty, about 2,000 years ago. Today, the Yuyuan Lantern Festival is considered a National Intangible Cultural Heritage of China.
The Lantern Festival in China symbolizes family unity and good fortune. During this time, people gather with their families to pray for an abundant year and prosperity. This year, the festival draws inspiration from the "Shan Hai Jing," also known as The Classic of Mountains and Seas. At the center of the exhibition, there is a large snake, as 2025 is the Year of the Snake according to the Chinese lunar calendar. This snake is called "Jin She Xian Rui," which means "Golden Snake Brings Good Fortune."
