1:05:59 First tower collapse
1:35:27 Second tower collapse

Rip Peter Jennings.....I can't imagine if you were alive to see covid 19 and the pandemic....and imagine how precise your reporting would have been like it was in 9/11.
The dude was a Canadian national treasure.
"COVID-19 and the pandemic" world's greatest-ever panic
I was in my home watching this attack. I live in Brazil and i never forgot that day. Sorry for my bad english.
Your English is just fine. :) Much better than my Portuguese.
@@alliematt1016 kkkkk thanks
You must never apologize for your English, not only because it's fine, but also because people like me spend all their lives in the USA and speak only a few words of any other language. That makes you a far better communicator than I am.
Your English is good.
Delivered to Dallas that day. Southbound at Decatur when I 1st heard on WBAP. Traffic in Dallas was unbelievably cooperative. As I delivered to several stores the lack of air traffic noice was erie.
9:37 the second plane crashed in the second tower

9:35 The sound of all-encompassing negativity. Makes my spine curl every time I hear it.
Do you have more 9/11 content?
Why wouldn’t a government building need as many safety features as a private building? You would think it would need MORE safety features. Doesn’t make sense to me. Hopefully that has changed since 2001
Maybe because government employees couldn't sue the government for damages but private citizens could. So the liability for a government building is less. But this is the first I ever heard this about the Towers.
@@johnvanalstine9645 I understand that. That might play a minor role. But Government buildings are much more likely to be attacked than a random public building imo
Starts at 8:53:30 am EST
Whenever I watch/listen to any of the 9/11 coverage, I look at the time stamp on the video or the clock in the lower right hand corner if it’s a network news report, and I keep bracing myself for 9:03 because I know what’s coming. I was driving to my ladies’ Bible class and listening to a recording of Gone With the Wind (it had just come out as a book on CD and I’d checked it out of the library.) I didn’t know what had happened until I got to class and found two women listening to the radio. I heard the words “Holland Tunnel” and wondered, what in the world is going on in New York?” By that time, the plane had hit the Pentagon as well.
do you have any audio from other DFW area stations from that horrible day, i assumed that Stern's coverage of 9/11 aired on a hour delay on 105.3 (then KYNG, the Talk That Rocks Texas) or 1080 AM KRLD or KLIF's coverage.
The only other Dallas station I've ever found is the breaking news on sports radio KTCK. You can find that here. www.theunticket.com/the-musers-original-broadcast-from-91101/
I've always wanted to hear the Rush Limbaugh broadcast for 9/11, never figured out where to look for it.
@@edmundvereault9635 Rush was caught in transit that day and was delayed getting back to his home in Florida to do the broadcast. Bill Handel of KFI-Los Angeles filled in for him and did have Rush on by phone at one point in the afternoon. The six hour block of KFI coverage that includes Handel taking over Rush's slot nationwide for the day is available on YT.
@@edmundvereault9635 KFI radio from Los Angeles has an aircheck from that day and Rush Limbaugh was interviewed on that station.
basically just the audio from ABC, Peter Jennings.
Heart wrenching.
I wish there was a clip on radio from Lubbock, Texas, no matter the radio station.
I wonder how the media would have handled this if it had happened in 1961.
Or 2021.
@@nicklikesradio Yes, interesting.
check out the jfk assassination coverage, it must've been something like that
If this happened in the present day, there would be much more footage from the inside and more people from the South Tower probably would have been evacuated immediately after the North Tower got hit.
WBAP was my radio station of choice for decades....sure do miss it.... (no longer live in the area)....//
I know it's not quite the same, but that station's website should have a live feed.
Was working at dfw driving a truck at the airport, remember that like yesterday
What the hell was Peter Jennings 👀 watching..dont they have a small monitor in front of them to view?😳🕵
I don't think they did. He kinda low key chastised his producers a few times during his ABC broadcast on 9/11
Such a great broadcaster. Truly a Canadian legend.
Why would an eyewitness in New York call a radio station in Dallas?
He didn't. The Dallas station was picking up ABC Radio's network feed which at the time was picking up WINS-New York.
Americans really know their north, south, easts and wests
That eye witness "Brian" was amazing. I honestly thought he was a professional reporter.
Brian insists there were no planes. The explosions came from within. That's what he saw. Whew! Brian is no reporter, pro or otherwise.
@@blueduck5589 Brian was on the opposite side and didn't see the plane in his field of vision when it struck. That was true of many people at ground level who were on the opposite side of where the plane came in from.

I’ve had enough of the word billowing!
He says GARGANTUAN! Who says that instead of saying REALLY BIG!
@chrisdaigle3588
Someone who has a good vocabulary. I know thats hard for younger people to comprehend seeing as every other word they use is ‘like’
No plane. Hm.
He was obviously looking at the tower from the side opposite to where the plane hit, hence why he said the north eastern corner exploded - the other side to where the plane impacted
Depending on what angle you were looking at the towers from, a person may not have been able to see the plane but only the explosion.
Hundreds of thousands of people literally saw the plane impact the building live with their own eyes. Regular, every day people. It has also been recorded on video from several angles. A plane hit the building.
It's impossible for everyone to see the exact same thing at the exact same time in the midst of a traumatic event.
@@siLveRscOpe13x Exactly.
The 2d tower was hit on the South side, if you were looking at it from the North or Northeast, you wouldn't have seen the plane enter the building. Doesn't mean there wasn't a plane, just means Brian didn't see it from his vantage point.
