I have been to Eden Gardens 7 times last time being the WC 23 Semi Final match.. I must say the stadium is really well maintained with free drinking water supply and clean washrooms.. Also we have access to free wifi there...What else we need? The crowd here is the loudest ever I guess...It's so electrifying slways...Eden Gardens is now a modern hitech stadium...❤

Then Eden garden would go under renovation, increasing its capacity of 100,000 hoping to host the 2026 world T20 final

But thanks to the inauguration of Salt Lake stadium with 115,000 capacity(now reduced to 85k and only allowing 65k for safety measures) making it the Wembley of Indian football.

Well enough if Eden garden has 68k capacity, it isn't as loud as Bengaluru's chinnaswamy of 40k.
Eden garden kinda sounds like a silent arena on tv while chinnaswamy still sounds loud on tv.
Well it has to do due to the fact that chinnaswamy is smaller and narrower than Eden. And the roofing in all places makes it more louder than the open areas in Eden garden.

I have been to both Eden and Chinnaswamy. Chinnaswamy is yet to hold a WC knockout match. Sit down. Type Mecca of Indian cricket on Google and see which ground comes up.
Ahmedabad stadium? When India was under pressure in WC'23 final, it was as if the stadium was empty, just ball striking bat and commentary. Putting more pressure on our team.
If it were Wankhede, Chinnaswamy or Eden, Australia would have felt fear in their hearts. The sudden uprising was all that was needed, but the crowd couldn't deliver. Eden, I think I agree, too sounds a bit (not too much) quiet on television. But inside the stadium, you gotta die. When there's match on, you can hear the shouts from as far as Victoria Memorial, as if you were inside the stadium. I've been to Eden more times (16) than I've been to Chinnaswamy (only once) because I am by birth from Kolkata. I can guarantee that within the stadium in person, the aroma of Eden can only be challenged by Lord's and MCG, noone else.
This Ground Is Leased by Indian Army to Cricket Association of Bengal so any New Renovation is needed a nod from Army First Then They can Renovate
It's Also Homeground for Kolkata Knight Riders ❤❤❤❤
It can Be renovated with more Seats etc and new Systems can be added but first Nod from MOD and Indian Army is needed for 2026 WC
