The Krome is really a powerful and great sounding little keyboard, with its sound engine coming from the Korg M3, and some of its programs coming from the Korg Kronos. It's so incredibly light (under 16 lbs.) that I prefer to take it to gigs instead of my Yamaha Motif, which weighs over 36 pounds. Once you get familiar with this keyboard, and start getting into COMBI's, this is where this keyboard's power really comes alive. You can layer and/or split up to 16 different programs at a time, so you can really fatten up your sounds, and adds many different colors and texture to them.
+Bruin Doc yeah yeah save it...you make it sounds that this is the combination of the Korg M3 and Korg Kronos, you obviously don;t know what you talking about. M3 and Kronos or in no way into comparison with this chrome.
confidential303, the Krome's sound engine and TouchView screen come straight from the M3 -- this info is widely available on the web. Its German D Grand comes straight from the Kronos, but that is where the similarities end; although, some people claim that a few Kronos programs are in the Krome. We ALL know that NOTHING compares to the Kronos -- IMHO it far outpaces ANYTHING else on the market and I've yet to find a nicer feeling keybed as the Kronos. But, as I was saying, in Krome's COMBI mode, you can thicken and add various colors to the Krome's sounds that would belie its price tag. I got mine from Guitar Center when they had a 20% off sale, so I paid $800 plus tax. It's a lot of keyboard for THAT price.
***** but for the price the Krome is a monster, I used to only have a Yamaha MM6, then I got a Casio XWP1, then I got a korg Kross, but I still wanted something better, so I researched a lot and the Krome convinced me, I don't play professionally neither do I have a band so I don't make money off the synths, but I like the sounds of korg a lot, why going for almost four grand of the Kronos when you can have the Krome for a lot less
Me too. I purchased the 73 key model for myself back in the summer of 2014, and I so love it myself. Managed to create some amazing sounding compositions of my own, with the huge selection of sounds from each sound bank.
I was considering the 73 key Platinum edition,as I love that you can use the Krome as a VST in a computer DAW.I was wondering though, how well does the Krome do at controlling functions(such as operating transport controls within a VST host??)
It seems that this recording is made in mono (I see 1 cable coming out) I am looking for a board that has a powerful mono sound, to cut trough the mix in band situations.... this is not easy to test (shop - stereo headphones, .....)
I think you're used to the work flow of Yamaha than Korg. Anyway still I'm glad you're happy creating music on the Yamaha. Both are great boards! Peace out! Ciao
ME COMPRE ESTE TECLADO , UN CONSEJO , SI SON PIANISTAS NATOS NO LO COMPREN , ES MALO , SE CORTAN LAS NOTAS AL APRETAR EL PEDAL TODOS TENEMOS EL MISMO PROBLEMA .
You just need to change the internal sd... Buy a pretty brand new sd class 10, with at least 4GB... install the system there, open your krome and change the old one for this new one... That is it... There are several tutorials and links teaching how to correct this problem... pretty simple solution!

Great musician.......and talent....
The Korg Krome is my trusty partner in crime. I love to get creative when it comes to layering and splitting sounds. It really is a power house.
its how you play.. i saw guys playing with an old synths and they sound good.
nestor pascual yup. brilliant playing can make an old synth sound so good.
Im not following what you´re saying, you talk about old synths as if they were some kind of handicap for the player?
Cool kit, cool guy, KORG rroocckkss every inch!
I got the 73 key, love it

I wish Jordan could demo all the synths that I'm interested in buying.
yo compre mi Korg Krome!! solo me falta tocar como este monstruo XDDD
Claudio Fermani no creo. Terminara haciendo de mesa.
That's it, I'm sold. Need to replace my old tired Korg 01W/fd I've had for about 25 yrs. This seems like that keyboard, 25 yrs. later.
+jpcyphers I have the Krome for a year now but my 01R/W will stay forever ;-)
@@deauvillevrienden that's great to hear! I have the Korg M1 but it died on me. But I still have it!

Amazing right hand
At 1:39 I was mentally whisked away to a quiet Japanese karaoke bar somewhere near Osaka. The sushi was almost as good as the music.
I need korg krome EX sound
If Jordan is playing this u should get him a 88 keys so that he can show some more crazy wild leads on krome.
1:36 😱😱😱
I was hoping for something more similar to keyboard madness videos :P
Awesome ! :)
Mr Rudess , is very good.
How is this improvised. This sounds like a pre written song!
Can you plug microphone into it and record your voice?
One question. Is there any difference in the depth of sound between the 61 key and 88 key model?
No. Only more keys
Monster
Does this contains rythem
Hello
Which piano tone he is using????
"Krome Grand Piano" (program A000). The name actually scrolls by during that part of the video, but the caption left the word "Grand" out.
