Unfortunately I had the same thought. If she were truly as far along as the blood test showed, the foal wouldn't have just absorbed back into the body as some early losses might do. It's possible the stress from the night that Voodoo got injured made her drop that foal early and it just wasn't viable. But surely they would have found the body sooner with as many times Lester drives the pastures. Weather foal/calf/any thing else, it sure is a sad find on the farm.

When i had cows, if it remember right, it was 18 months to breed so they calved at 2 years old.
