It's my country! The Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan sounds like an incredible adventure, offering the opportunity to experience the ancient wonders of Egypt while enjoying the comfort and luxury of a cruise ship. With so much history and culture to explore along the way, this three-day journey is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thanks for sharing this informative guide!
We went last year. This is really really beautiful experience with cruise. Egypt is really beautiful country and there people is friendly, cooperating and love so much Indian people.
You guys are seeing so many amazing places. Very cool that you were able to do a Nile cruise, another thing on our list. Thanks for sharing. -Chris & Suzannah
Great information guys, just subscribed your channel 👍 you were in Egypt in which time of the year? I'm checking the cruises now for November 😊 happy travels!
HI Zac: Thanks for the great video. Where the attractions tickets included or you paid extra ? How much you paid for all attractions for the 3 days (karnak temple/edfu/kom ombo/abu simbel etc )? We are also planning a 4 day/3night cruise.
I think they included it in the price for us, but it did rise the price for sure. We went for the 2 nights / 3 days so it was a bit cheaper overall (still over 300$ per person). But one thing you have to keep in mind is the additional "tipping" of the guides at the attractions or the cruise at the end
For us, 3 days was enough because we had spent 5 days in Luxor before getting on the cruise and stayed 2 days in Aswan after. If you’re not planning on doing that, the 5 day cruise would be better because that would include a visit to luxor and Aswan! We did a cruise on “La Terrasse” (MS royal) and the food was amazing! We definitely recommend them!
Thankyou for summarising the information so well :) Great video. Can you please also mention which cruiseline is this? I am a little confused about which one to book.
You can definitely book it in Luxor! Just be aware that in Egypt it’s all about bargaining. They might give you a ridiculous high price at first and it really comes down to how good you are at haggling it down 😌 so if you’re not so comfortable with that, we’d recommend booking it beforehand
I think you need to get to Luxor and talk to some locals there! One guy offered us when we were in Luxor but the felucca can be challenging so we didn’t go for it (really depends on the winds and there are no toilet facilities or whatsoever on board). Good luck!!
First time viewer here. I appreciated how informative your material was. Constructive criticism: get rid of the all of the loud breaths in your voice over
Thank you for the concise and informative videos. I am going to Egypt next week but I am not sure about the cruise option. While the cruise is a great experience, I have read that it does not give visitors a lot of time at the temples. Would you recommend the road tour option for someone like me who will travel solo and likes to take time and soak in the atmosphere of a place? I will be celebrating my birthday in Egypt and I am wondering if cruising solo is a good option. Thanks for your time
Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply! I hope it's not too late yet... We chose the cruise option because it's such an iconic and historic thing to do. Our cruise included a guided tour at each temple and it was awesome because we had a private guide who explained everything so well. You don't get to explore the towns though, but only the temples in the towns. It was fine for us as the towns didn't look that interesting besides the temples anyways. We spent a few days in Luxor before boarding the cruise, and a few days in Aswan afterwards so that we could spend more time in those places (because there is so much to see there). Traveling by bus to the different towns along the Nile sounded difficult and complicated as there are just limited options.
I'm planning our trip now, but because of your video I am adjusting our itinerary to include the cruise. Question is, what is the best way to get to Cairo from Aswan? Can we fly? Or do we have to drive back to Luxor and fly from there? Any advice would be helpful. We are looking forward to our Wendy Shakes riding atop a camel!!
Great! Thank you. Thank you. I'm thinking we fly from Athens to Luxor and spend 3 or 4 days. Cruise the Nile to Aswan. Fly from Aswan to Cairo. What do you think?@@worldwildhearts
@bhbecca nice! So those 3 - 4 days are before you board the cruise? Or including the cruise? We’d definitely suggest 2 days in Luxor before boarding so you can explore the historical sights first (Luxor has quite a bit!)
3-4 days in Luxor, THEN the cruise to Aswan and then fly. Do we need to plan for flights and cruise ahead of time, or is it something we can organize once we are there? We are leaving Athens to fly to Luxour Oct 22. We really appreciate your help!!@@worldwildhearts
We recommend it because the first day you’re anchored in Luxor and the last day in Aswan. So if you already spent some days in Luxor it’s a bit too much. Before the cruise, we spent 5 days in Luxor and afterwards we stayed 2 days in Aswan in a hotel.
Which cruise line did you use for Luxor to Aswan and can you book it directly online or do you have to book it only through an organization that organizes cruises ? pl share links for booking directly in case you have
Hi! We booked with a cruise line called “MS La Terrasse”. However there’s many good ones out there! If you want to secure your spot, it's best to pre book it. You can also book it when you're in Egypt but you might have to bargain a bit if you want a better price!
They’re both very different. I think overall Turkey because of the diversity it offered (like there are more mountains which we really love). Though we also loved Egypt for its history and scuba diving. Egypt really is for those who love history and beaches. Turkey is for all kinds of travelers
Each country has different visa requirements, but both of us had to get 30-day visas and we are from the US and Belgium. For us, we were able to get the e-visa online prior to arriving.
You can find links in the description of the video. It really depends on how many days you want to do the cruise for. @@TheCreativeCurator Hi! The 3 day one was really fun but make sure to spend at least 1 day in Luxor before and 1 day in Aswan after as this cruise doesn"t spend any time in those cities itself! How should I booked this ? Should I fly into Cairo then take a train to Luxor from Luxor hop on the cruise to Aswan . Then from Aswini to Cairo to Sfo ?
You could fly into Luxor! There’s flights that go there from Cairo which are often cheaper than the train (and saves a lot of time!). You can also fly from Aswan to Cairo, we did that as well and was also cheap 😄
Great video. Im planning to go to Luxor/ Aswan myself. Looks like you already did the Luxor sightseeings before boarding the cruise. However first day of the nile cruise you mentioned they took you to Valley of the kings - did you see it twice?
Correct! We actually visited Luxor prior to boarding our cruise. But the cruise we were on did offer the first stop in Luxor (which we skipped). So the valley of the kings was technically something we did before the cruise (we stayed in Luxor for 4 days to see all the temples at our own pace first). But the cruise did offer visiting the main highlights of Luxor indeed!

Hello, thank you very much for this very informative video. Is the cost for the cruise separate from the cost for land tours?
It depends. Some cruises include the temple tours on land as well, but you should double check when you book a cruise.

January!
It’s incredible to follow the path taken by the pharaohs of old while viewing the temples along the way.
Yes the cruise was beautiful
Why do you recommend the 3 day cruise, instead of the 5 day one? I am debating between the two
