Damn Ngl this was a trip down memory lane I know sik hates mk11 but he was definitely having fun cuz let’s be honest mk11 was peak if both players aren’t playing random or scrubby their making reads which is beautiful to watch in 11. On top of that sik still got the big boy combo with subzero down 🔥
This game is so much better to watch. I have nearly 1400 hours in this game and I'd probably have more if they had continued the support. There's actually footsies in this game unlike MKX and MK1. Those two games are basically Marvel games. This game you actually have to fight for screen space rather than just taking it due to assists or some run mechanic.
The reversal slide after low amp fireball works with other long range specials like that too, Liu Kang can punish his own amplified low fireball on reversal, cassie cage can punish with shoulder charge also and I think kano ball also.
Hey Lou a little tip for liu kang, I highly suggest delaying the amp for low fireball. You can still amp it as long as Lou kang is still in the frames for it if I’m correct, timing is key for it though I just suggest testing it so you aren’t whiffing that second hit🙏
Another Liu main here… Liu could be so fun if he had 1 of 2 things… A better overhead for some traditional mix, or give him a command grab to go with strike throw. He needs SOMETHING to help him be saucy. His F1 4, what if they gave him a F1 2 that was an overhead for some mix? Soemthing as simple as that… strike throw is so boring man… so boring. Crazy thing, aesthetically, this is the best Liu. He looks GREAT. And his moves look great. They killed the look… but how you gonna make the GOD of the timeline nerf himself, lol. MK11 was way better with input errors vs MK1 imo… at least on Xbox. MK1 replay shows me pressing b4 or something and it’ll give db4 which usually gets me punished.
Mk1 is a heavily flawed game for sure but I can say for certain imo this games gameplay is just not as captivating as mk1s but I mean it’s my opinion tho and I know no one asked I just wanted to share thoughts.
mk11 feels more bland than mk1. But boy do i wish it was just 1 v 1 traditional Mortal Kombat. Kameos could made this the best mk if they implemented it well but they did not.
