I have a R50 my self. As a beginner it dose more then what I want, but when I started looking for better lens. The only thing I found was get a EF adaptor. or buy super expensive RF glass. As a beginner my self. Its kind of a buzz kill when compared to the amount of lens the e mount has, or the older EF mount. If you are new you wont have a library of older EF lens like people that have been doing this for years. Its honestly a good for cannon to open up the mount to others, but there will be a lot of people like me. Who will buy the camera with out doing proper research. Find out they will limited by the RF mont, and start looking at other brands. Yes Im looking at sony a6700. Or you will have people leaving the cannon eco system that have only shot cannon. Because of the limited lens.
I still run a RS2 with my Komodo-X. Until now, I've been kind of limited to running primes on it. That 18-50 will be awesome to throw on there. Hopefully RED gets in to tuning the AF on that lens and gets it pushed out in firmware pretty quickly.
I'm disappointed personally. These lenses should have been out 12 months ago at a minimum. Canon still seems to be playing games with only letting Sigma and Tamron release apsc lenses for the mount. They are cool lenses don't get me wrong, I just don't think Canon can stall third party full frame lenses for another year or more and not seriously hurt their user base.
Best decision Canon ever made. Lens choices, relating to access and costs, has been a factor with my considering Canon as a brand to consider. Starting with APS-C lenses is a good...uh...start. Adapting EF lenses is fine, but being able to use newer lenses is very important. Canon cameras are on my wishlist again.
You do a GREAT job with these videos! I'm always looking for the J cuts, L cuts and what not. Well done.
Bo
I appreciate that!

That will be a great combo if so!!

I agree they should have been out earlier, but at least they are out. I’m personally holding my breath for Tamron to make a 35-150 in rf mount

Same here! I may have to pick up an R7 again
So Canon allows Sigma to release some of the same lenses that have already been out for Fujifilm X for a while. Ill stick with my Fuji X
Yeah I get it! It’s not really a reason to go to Canon, more of a reason to stay
Good luck with your autofocus.
@@StoicJasonworks just fine for what I shoot.
I watch too much tik tok to understand the title
I love Keisha
too little too late Canon, 5 years behind Sony still
That’s true, the next cameras canon produces will show if they are ready or not
Once people move on. They move on. Not going back to Canon.
If I didn’t go back to Komodo I would be in the same boat
More like Canon is helping Sigma...hahaha
I mean yes and no, canon has no good quality crop glass. If they did it would be a different story
@@ReachFilms nahhh they can use full frame glass their cheapest lens rf 50mm is from full frame
