    Thank you for this video, as someone new to Mendeley it was helpful. I was really intrigued by your reference to the application that allows you to right-click on highlighted text and open Google scholar in a new tab - I've tried to find it on Firefox but am not having any luck - what is the extension's name? I also really appreciated your enthusiasm for JSTOR, EBSCO host etc!

      Carla, I'm sorry for the late reply (very late), but here is an option that may work for you for FireFox. addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/google-scholar-button/. It is written by one of the Google Engineers. Not quite the same thing, but perhaps it will work for you.

    Or you could add the Mendeley web importer extension on your chrome

      I have found that it works well for some databases and not as well for others. I do use it for Science Direct which has good integration! It is a good tool to use. Good follow up!

    another way is by clicking RefMan and choose mendeley save as ris file and import to mendeley.

    • @DrChrisCopeland
      @DrChrisCopeland  3 года назад

      Absolutely! Not all the databases use it and not all students have access to it, but it is also a great way to import into Mendeley. Thanks for the comment!

    Hi doctor Chris, great video. I just wonder why you do not use the chrome web importer for MENDELEY ? Thanks

    • @DrChrisCopeland
      @DrChrisCopeland  3 года назад

      Sorry for the late reply. The Chrome/Firefox web importers work great on a number of databases/sites, but not all of them. I always try to instruct the basics. I personally use it, but a video on how to use it may not meet all the needs of people who watch these videos. I hope that makes sense. The importer is a great tool.

      @@DrChrisCopeland Thanks doctor Chris. Your videos are helpful for a starting PHD student aged 54. In your view does the importer work well for google scholar? All the best
