I am trying to figure out a way to edit the twitch chat into these videos so it doesn't disrupt the topic (some of the shit they spam feels like a net negative to the discussion) Anyway... fucken leak the female Ren'kai already @stevenJsharif www.twitch.tv/Narciverse
Twitch chat is a cesspool anywhere you go, and anyone who lands on your channel will already be aware of that or else will learn quickly based on your behavior (which should mainly consist of ignoring the jackassery and selectively engaging with those who add valuable insight to the discussion). In any case, implementing it would add a ton of entertainment value, and will serve to boost your viewer count tremendously for at least the following reasons. In a word, drama. But, it's important to understand that "drama" is nuanced and multifaceted, providing objective value based on subjective variables on a situational basis. Here's what I mean: Remember, 99.9% of viewers are not here to learn new perspectives or change their opinions. By overwhelming majority, viewers watch videos that validate the perspectives and opinions they've already adopted. If you, as a monolithic voice in the absence of chat, don't co-opt those views with your discussion points, they will simply click away and never return. However, if the donkeys in chat corroborate the viewer's thoughts, the viewer now has a reason to stay because they feel represented. That being said, viewers of your channel will almost always fall into one of the following demographics (each of which finding its own dramatic value in the presence of chat): 1) The Copeheads - these are often prescribed fans of AoC or whatever other game you're discussing. But, beneath the surface, they are essentially fans of YOU. They will be hyped by whatever content you're producing, whether it's showcasing new AoC features, baking sweetrolls, or just hanging out. The dramatic benefit of chat for these viewers lies within their loyalty to you or the game you're showcasing. 2) The Hatewatchers - these troglodytes exist in a state so devoid of substance that they lurk the web in search of outlets for their projected self-loathing. They are here for the opposite reasons to those of the Copeheads. They will present as prescribed haters of the game you're showcasing, or perhaps even you. Years from now, slumped on an Ikea loveseat in a therapist's office with tears flowing down their bearded necks, they will finally come to terms with the fact that what they've truly hated all along was themselves. The dramatic benefit of chat for these certifiable losers lies in the opportunity to see others cower behind the same vitriolic rhetoric behind which they exist miserably. 3) The Indifferent - these wanderers ended up here because they saw Asmongold react to one of your videos and decided to see what else you had to say. They'll be accustomed to the presence of Twitch chat in a RUclips video, making them feel right at home. The chat's dramatic value is neutral and intrinsic for them. If nothing else, they'll be interested to see how your chat differs from that which they're used to observing. It's like visiting another king's court whose jester has a familiar but unique bag of tricks to that of the jester in the court of the king in their homeland. All that to say, adding chat should be a big net positive for your content, regardless of the context. Let the brainrot river flow, and cast a wide net across it.
Let me just say that this video is an overwhelming 10/10. Narc has made AAAA content out of thin air. All other CC are on a Tier below you. Keep up the great work.
I think VoIP would be 100% the final missing touch... The RP capabilities of being able to speak with others and talk yourself into or out of a beating really makes a game fun as hell. I wish they were interested in local area voice chat

@@Cimarb maybe in shooters, but not my experience in MMOS with it, you have your bad actors but there are options if you dont like it. its usually toggleable, and there are even squelch features. you dont have to use it but it makes games cool as hell

I think roughly 70% empty would be fine. Also remember, the nodes will change the environments completely bringing in more content. As the server population grows the player houses and smaller settlements will also start to fill in the gaps of space. I played a Sandbox MMO called Mortal Online 2 that you could litterally ride your mount for a good 45 min to reach a destination with vast spaces of open world. The only bad thing was people could kill you or your mounts, or even steal your mounts.
I feel that early on, when we the players exit the gates/starter areas, the world is going to be empty. Random mobs everywhere, and not much structure. But to me that's the appeal, because as time passes, and players contribute to the nodes, the ZOI's will change, and develop to create mid-endgame content that will attract the rest of the world to those locations the events are happening at, slowly filling up the world and speeding up how much content is happening at once.
Empty space is good because it means that they have enough space to add content there in the future. And as you said, it make mounts more desirable to reach destination faster.
Narc is the youtuber I have the most respect for. He triggered much bigger fish than him and stood his ground. Not to mention he based his whole channel around a game with nothing but a whiff of copium to tell him that this game is gonna stand out. If you're paying atenttion, Narc is already vindicated... However, it will take the game being completed for everyone else to see it.
I like the mounts in SWG, you had to take it to a garage to repair it or it would be destroyed all together. Dismounting would leave it in place and the opposite faction would be able to destroy it. You could store it, but every time it would degrade the health.
About the "emptyness" i think thats really related to the progress of the nodes in the zone of influence, the advancements in those nodes and the active storylines. An area thats deserted at node 0 might be active at Node 3 or vice versa. About the milestone 8, i think (judging from the related footage + the fact that 2 livestreams were dedicated to caravans) is the Caravan system completed.
The free dream horse in BDO is actually tilting. I did so much work to get my tier 8 and turn it into a courser and start trying to upgrade it into a dream horse. Then they give away two free ones before I even finish it.
It was a great marketing tactic, I even installed the game just to grab my dream horse, despite being 99% sure I'll never the play the game again anyway. So it worked for them.
There's something special about Ashes of Creation, for years I haven't felt the urge to get involved with a community and feedback to devs let alone set foot into a forum since the early Warframe days. I think its the openness about development and the regular showing of work in progress which is really keeping me interested, very excited to see what happens with Alpha 2 and to eventually play/test the game.
Linage 2 had the strider mount. Very rare and hard to get in the early days of L2. Then you could get the wolf. Both pets you became highly attached to cause you would level up with them in the field an they would die all the time but after a time they actually became useful and they got armor and skills and evolved. The strider could evolve to a flying mount dragon.. it was bloody amazing.
i am waiting for AoC since the first kick starter and every month i am more hyped than ever i just hope they take all the time they need to finish this dream i will wait even if it takes a few more years i dont care as long as AoC releases with its full potential
I feel like it will be 70% or more empty area, especially at the start, but I believe over time those areas will develop into be ing more dense over time as nodes grow. (alpha 2 may not depending on how they start it, if its a blank start or if they start with nodes pre built to test things.)
I'm sure there will be some "empty" areas. Those areas also could be constantly moving with world events, caravans(because its easier to pull one through and empty area than a high mob density area), and node progression. Which i think is fine and honestly the right choice, it would be a pain in the ass if there constantly going on on every inch of the map.
I hope ashes is great 👍 I don't want them to rush it and release a bad reviewed game. Alot of mmos have really rushed to deliver leave people unimpressed and ultimately moving on the games go stagg.i want to be wowed like the first time I played wow or runescape.
Even alpha 1 had way more content than I was expecting and that was what, over 2 years ago now? Since then they have a bigger dev team than ever so I've no doubt they've built more of this world than they're telling us. Obviously things need to be kept a surprise for launch anyway.
unless this was changed later dream horses were obtained by getting a tier 8 horse to lvl30 with some specific skill then you had to trade some rare itens on some farm for xp in 3 different categories and the added xp should be something like 200% out of 300% in any combination, then you could attempt to "awaken" your horse at a very low % chance, if you failed you would lose some of the xp you had and would need to get more xp before trying again
Narc, do you think Intrepid should release AoC with all systems and nodes fully implemented at launch even if it pushes the launch day back 2 years? Or do you think they should cut some features from launch in order to get the game released earlier, adding more nodes and features like naval warfare at a later date?
In BDO, dream horses still are T9 horses. But since they introduced T10, they removed all T1-T4 horses from the game and gave away 1 or 2 dream horses to everybody. So now you only have T5-T10 horses in BDO. No idea if you can sell those T9 or if they can be used to try for T10 awakening. And no, AoC does not have a similar gameplay loop to BDO when it comes to mounts. The way they explained mounts in AoC for now sound like they would give a move speed bonus. Have yet to hear about skills or tactics to help us reach destination faster beside simply pressing the forward key and the ocasional "speed boost" skill that mounts could have. Not like in BDO where we can use 2-3 skills in a combination to give us a huge boost that is incomparable to normal 1 ocasional skill.

Not gonna lie, i love ashes, but that song at the end gave me a cringe overdose... that's some real " I have the power of god and anime on my side! " behaviour type shit.
Been watching video for days about this game and I still don't trust that it will be good...........
That normie-tier trash at the end did more to convince me that AoC is a scam than all of Stevens lies and history combined.
Bro i feel like by now thw game is done and the devs are playing between themselfs ,,we are gonna do the best mmo but we are gonna be the only ones that will play it and when we need to do an event we are gonna do an Alpha thing and yeah "
New world has more content then ashes lol ..... your looking forward to running g around in 70% dead zones you say lol sounds like a great end game
Only 3-4 more years and we will have a new MMO, I just hope they update the graphics as they are looking very dated now.
WTAF??!?
You should grow some new eyes, it'll be faster.
Graphics are fine, they just need to work on the lighting. Thats why some areas look amazing and others look total dogshit. That will be during the Beta phases though, there's no need to fuck with it right now when theres still so much of the game that needs to be built.
this looks dated to you? jfc I'm getting old
Dated how? It's in unreal engine 5, but without the dynamic lumin lighting system implemented yet. You are seeing compressed youtube video files. The graphics in this game would be S tier if it was released today, but you are right that it probably won't be by the time of full release. Which is absolutely fine.
@@Hat_Uncleprobably comparing it to single player games and cinematic trailers
so will it be worth the wait? Yeah I think so.
Just blabla
nothing tangible
it has been like this for already 8 years
Wake me up when this game launches... in 2055.
The development of it is the actual mmo! You would lose all the fun
I dont even know why you care bout it or even watch anything related to the game
Uh oh overhype alert.
Is it just me? Or Narc is getting fat?
That song is garbage...ugh
This game will release in like 5 years with a small fraction of the promised features or wont release at all. It's a scam.
Lol
👍
😂 haters gonna hate 🎉
@@iamrandaman you cannot accept the truth?
Sob
Total waste of time! The forced PvP will kill this game within weeks after launch...
Then look for a different game. It's been Intrepids direction since the beginning of development.
@@Behague No! There are no other games! They could easily have non-PvP servers. You sound like a typical ganker...
if their pvp systems don’t work the way we hope (punishing random murders enough that they mostly don’t happen) then they will change it before the game launches
@@RussKarlberg Bro people literally get heavily punished for ganking, did you actually look up how it works?
@@RussKarlberg You sound like the typical crybaby.... Whahahhahahhaaaaaaa I got kilded in my gamezes Ooooooohhohobobbooobhoobohooo
