This is easily the best Mega Man review I've seen on RUclips. I'm really glad you mentioned the enemy I-frame problem (only present in MM5) because literally every other reviewer seemingly didn't notice it or didn't bother mentioning it. Unlike those other reviewers you actually go in depth and clearly know a lot about, and have played a lot of this game. As a fellow Mega Man fan, THANKYOU! Edit: You're also the only reviewer I've seen mention Mega Man 5's increased 1-UP drop rate. It's really refreshing to see someone who actually knows what they're talking about when it comes to this series. Edit 2: I had no idea that the game hides M-Tanks from you if you already have one (mainly because I never need to use them lol). I know Mega Man 5 is easy but... Wow.
@@RollingCutter It’s always great to hear someone like yourself is getting a refreshing experience out of my content, it makes my day and I appreciate the enthusiasm! I’d suggest checking the rest of my Mega Man reviews out, hopefully you’ll learn a new thing or two from those just like with Mega Man 5!
17:25 - NEVER knew that room existed. EVER. Your reviews continue to show me something new about these games and I love that! As for my own thoughts on Mega Man 5, I don't think it's a bad game, but it's one of the most unremarkable and therefor least replayable, making it one of my least favorites of the NES sextology and in general, even if it technically gets several things right. For those looking for more out of MM5 or even people that already enjoyed the game, I ABSOLUTELY recommend the ROM Hack Rockman 5 YH. It overhauls level design, boss fights AND weapons as well as adding some other cool features. It also raises the game's difficulty level closer to that of other titles.
Stone Man hides his secrets really well. The letter being hidden away like that at the beginning is a great sign for players to keep an eye out for any other suspicious rocks going forward.
i will never hear "boss design" the same way again. great video anyways. i started cracking up when you talked about the dark man bosses. i used to find them really, really annoying before i figured out all the ways to easily cheese everything. not to mention, the guy's just WALKING.
22:21 walking jump scare. Great video and that part scared me when I watched this for the first time at 3 am. Cannot wait to see when you have to talk about dark man 2 in the mega man 5 boss review.
Definitely the best video yet, the editing has gotten a lot snappier and you keep getting more energetic with how you deliver the script, and while I don't agree with the final score this is just a fantastic review all around, I can't wait for your next video!
Rockman 5 is just right on the difficulty. The only thing that challenged me when I fought Gyro Man since he kept on sneaking behind or near me when he strafed down after hiding from the clouds.
You should, even though Mega Man 5 is quite flawed with what I mentioned, there is still fun to be had here. Plus it's on the easier side and not as potentially frustrating as the others.
Ironically, I like using Power Stone. It has the one most unique concept among every official classic Mega Man weapons I know, which is a nerfed screen nuke that is more likely to hit enemies closer to the blue bomber. My appreciation towards this weapon started when I got bored of using fully charhed Mega Buster shots in MM5 and decided to try what is commonly known as that game's worst weapon... Then it just clicked for me, it's satisfying to see a weapon with a reputation this bad consistently do something meaningful unlike Bubble Lead from MM2 or Spark Shock from MM3, even if it only deals one damage per projectile. Ever since that day, I would always play Stone Man's stage first every time I start a new run of Mega Man 5, just to get my hands on my favorite weapon.
Overall good video. IMO, Mega Man 5 is one of those games with both the best and worst elements of the 6 NES games, and it kinda makes it the weakest in that aspect IMO (still enjoyable tho)
No Rush Marine… that’s also a negative. That is a hill on which I will choose to die. Sure, you can use Jet in those water areas, but I always liked the RM design.
When I was a kid this was a punishing game. Now as an adult, I discovered that plowing through the game with reckless abandon makes it hard. But taking your time and avoiding damage or killing enemies makes the game easy as hell.

@@RollingCutter Thank you for the sub!
Excellent review….great Job !!!
Excellent review with a lot of details. You write and speak very well. You notice so many things. Good luck on your next script!!!

Since you disagree, what would you say is your final score?
I'd say its a 7/10 for me, I enjoy the easier pace and found a lot of use from a couple of the other weapons
Rockman 5 is just right on the difficulty. The only thing that challenged me when I fought Gyro Man since he kept on sneaking behind or near me when he strafed down after hiding from the clouds.
I never played this, but I kinda want to.

Ah yes, my favorite game and good review
Rolling Drills have instant death spikes, and you can’t live the area without beating them, that counts as a mini-boss.
Overall good video.

LETS GOOO FINALLY

Sure, you can use Jet in those water areas, but I always liked the RM design.
There's only one underwater section in the entire game, though; just one stage to use Rush Marine.
23:00 Yawn

Congrats on discovering a basic principle of game design
Where is the space met in the thumbnail
Jokes aside good review
Gotta love the usual pointless MM5 weapon hate
Mega Man 5 was banned in Vietnam
Mega Man 2 is easier, at least 5’s Dark Man stages are kinda challenging
10:09 Did you just say "milliage"...?
Did you write your own script?
wow you really out to get him arent you
seriously chill out
In *and of itself.
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Lower difficulty level?? MM5 was the one which, as a kid, I beat second to last.
The final one was the original.
skill issue
yeah that's a skill issue. Mega Man 5 is stupid easy.
