    CP Turn, April 8, 1916
Well my naval gambit in Norway failed: perhaps he had an intelligence hit as he headed straight for my hiding destroyer and annihilated it. He also removed the mine on the Norwegian coast. His subs are getting annoying in their cheeky forward deployment in front of Kiel. I decide to pull back my subs in the North Sea for now at least until I reach Advanced Subs level 2.
In Mesopotamia, he did manage to occupy Amara with a cavalry unit. I decide to keep the up siege, as his defending corps is down to level 1 supply.
But on the main front, everything went perfectly. I managed to destroy two elite British corps, plus an artillery unit behind his lines and captured Belgium - which will cause the remaining Belgian corps to surrender. As a bonus, I killed one French corps next to Verdun and moved in, now surrounding Verdun on four sides. Without a doubt he will counter-attack next turn and kill one or probably two German corps next to Verdun, plus maybe one more at the “point” in the line in Flanders. But this is a much stronger line to defend than the one I started with in January, and I will start grinding down his open left flank in front of Boulogne after the Belgians surrender.
For AH, the Brusilov offensive in the East is now truly launched and is getting worrying, especially given the challenge of finding the second line units to enable me to upgrade my front-line corps to Infantry Weapons 1. I bring in my most experienced AH general from Montenegro and sent the weaker general, Pflanzer-Baltin, to help defend on the Alpine front. For good measure, I transfer my second heavy artillery to the East to help counter-attack and I move the AH field artillery from the Balkans to the Italian front. We will see if these only partially upgraded reinforcements are sufficient to hold a line against the surging Russians.
In Lithuania, my elite corps crunch forward one Russian corps per turn towards Minsk. These are the German troops that conquered Poland and Lithuania in 1915 and they start with the highest level of XP of any of my unmits. My goal is not only to advance and kill a Russian corps a turn, but to do so while gaining more experience for my corps, so I can start buying elite reinforcements.

Is possible to do a WW1 operation sea lion? Would be interesting to see for sure

You could, but it would be a long shot. Germany starts at 0 in Amphibious Tech, meaning they can only put one unit a turn on amphibious transports. You would have to invest tech chits in this tech to get up to level 1 or 2 before trying a WW1 version of sea-lion. It's the kind of move I would try in a SP game against the AI before attempting it against an experience human opponent like Old Crow.

@@AnimatedWarMapper The Kaiser would need some big balls to try that against Great Britain...e.g. me. 😁

Well I did that against AI, but you have basically ONE marine. If AI keeps it defended...

I haven't been following all of this but, did you not start with an HQ in Iraq?

@user-mx3pg4xx8k General Maude shows up in July of 1916, so things are precarious around Basra for awhile.
