Wayne Smith New Trailer: The Chop Tackle ruclips.net/video/327u-Ghuogw/видео.html "I like to call this the “Chop Tackle” because it creates an image of achieving “chop down”to the ground really quickly. The aim is to isolate the ball carrier by driving them back in the tackle behind the gain line making it difficult for their support players to get back and clean out the breakdown. "A key to winning this breakdown is for the tackler to get back quickly to their feet and get over the ball." - Wayne Smith. Full release this Thursday, 2nd October!
Thought the purpose of the chop was to tackle them lower down their legs. The height your boys are tackling there sees like a "normal" tackle. What's the difference with this tackle to the "normal" tackle
Agreed. During a true chop the shoulder hits below the knee. Bigger ball carriers will just lower their shoulder and break through the "Wayne Smith Tackle"...Nothing special here.
