Bro... The Endgame HAS to be Kenny vs Kota. Can we just appreciate how perfectly the stars have aligned for that to happen? By far the greatest example of long term storytelling the business has ever seen imo. I can see the IWGP Heavyweight title being the last title on Kenny's list to collect but I also see him being reluctant to take it because he knows how much it means to Ibushi. Kenny's character ark is unbelievable... He's solidified.

The partnership between AEW with IMPACT Wrestling and AEW with New Japan Pro-Wrestling can bring the most possible storytelling amongst the 3 rosters. A BC Civil War? Various reunions? More promotions joining to extend the roots of professional wrestling? There's so much they can do. ☺

It was supposed to debut in New York in August of last year but the pandemic pushed it back a year. Currently it's looking good for us being back to normal enough for them to hold it in August of this year. If that happens, then what would be the best match to sell the event on? Kota vs. Omega.

I have watched wrestling since 81 and can tell you AEW,IMPACT, nor NJPW is at a place where any of this makes them any serious money nor chip WWE wall down. Neither are pulling gate numbers (before Covid) for this to be serious. Jericho said it best when he was in the WWE talking about TNA. Now the very same thing he said about them is now AEW. Except that TNA was pulling 1.2 and not 750k average as AEW is doing. In order to beat WWE all parties involved need to run a first rate machine assembly line like WWE. Throwing us "dream matches" with all companies not being made first rate, will make this relationship be meaningless. If their was any moment to strike WWE it would be now because they can not pull any great numbers either. A good question to ask yourself is... why can't wrestling pull bigger gate numbers and TV ratings than the 70's 80's or 90's? The athletes are in better condition and have more opportunities to get oneself over than the past did. Yet they still can't beat this let alone even come close to when wrestling was on the Dumont network.

I have watched wrestling since 81 and can tell you AEW,IMPACT, nor NJPW is at a place where any of this makes them any serious money nor chip WWE wall down. Neither are pulling gate numbers (before Covid) for this to be serious. Jericho said it best when he was in the WWE talking about TNA. Now the very same thing he said about them is now AEW. Except that TNA was pulling 1.2 and not 750k average as AEW is doing. In order to beat WWE all parties involved need to run a first rate machine assembly line like WWE.
Throwing us "dream matches" with all companies not being made first rate, will make this relationship be meaningless. If their was any moment to strike WWE it would be now because they can not pull any great numbers either. A good question to ask yourself is... why can't wrestling pull bigger gate numbers and TV ratings than the 70's 80's or 90's? The athletes are in better condition and have more opportunities to get oneself over than the past did. Yet they still can't beat this let alone even come close to when wrestling was on the Dumont network.
