Your client must be happy, and the naturalness you talk about the part of the painting process scaring the most - especially the masking - yeh...amazing
When I seen your work on FB I asked how you went about it and whew tedious work but thank you going over it. I was thinking liquid latex but maybe thats for small areas and not sure how it comes off. I tried the silly putty but like you mentioned it looks like it is right there are areas where you have to go back and end with discolor. thank you and nice job.
How long you wait from the moment you apply paint to the statue to actually been able to use masking tape in them without the risk of having the colour coming off when you peel it off? Also do you have any favourites maksing tape brand? Thanks
Typically, overnight is long enough. I have masked as quickly as a fee hours of painting, kind of depends on the paint and how long the tape will be on the surface. Tamyia tape is the best by far.
Yeah, I've thought about building a hot box. I just don't know at what temp resin starts to soften. The 2K needs to be baked at 140° for 45-60 minutes after flash-off.

Espectacular!!! Asombroso trabajo. Felicidades!!!
Very nice. Love how it turned out.
Damn i cant stop watching these. I build/paint gundams. But ill use some of your techniques on my customs. Marvelous work man.
I have 1 few 1/60 NeoGrade Sazabi's in the que this year. If you go back a few years I have several Gundam builds as well.
Awesome job with this! Love the contrast with the gloss symbol on the base.

I'm not a fan of liquid masks. They aren't as accurate and I've had them damage my paint.

What do you use to clean your airbrush after your clear coat?
Big fan.
Lacquer thinner
I wonder if using a hair dryer in a cardboard box would be a solution to an "oven".
