I'm a 44 year old guy who grew up listening to them and was wondering the same thing. I don't believe so, though: I think these two "had it all" so to speak. I don't think it's a guy thing either: all the lesbian females I knew back in the 2k were smitten with these two. It's disingenuous for people to say that being beautiful wasn't part of the charm and appeal of this group. Mainly the music, of course, but the pretty part was a big thing back then. They were cute, girls wanted to dress and look like them, etc. Nothing wrong with that (or noticing their beauty) IMO. They didn't make it the "main focus", of course, which is cool of them.
