DIY: How to Make a Mancala Board the Right Way!

A video showing you how to make a DIY mancala board with a router. I will show you how to make one of these game boards the right way using a template and router as opposed to just gluing two boards together to give you a much nicer finished game board. If you want to keep things fancy, like I did, then laminate a few different contrasting woods together! Enjoy this great woodworking project.
Tools you'll need:
2" forstner bit
1 1/8" router dish bit
wood finish of your choice

Thanks for these good techniques. I’ve made these boards as presents for family and typically put a hinge in the middle so the board becomes the case for the 48 little mancala pieces.

Flush trimming the sides of the ovals - DUH! makes me feel dumb for not thinking of that haha. I rough cut on the scroll saw then tried sanding and messed it up
