It's wild how a guy known for eating wings asks better questions than sports media outlets. This was a great interview.
Wasn’t he a sports writer/journalist before this though ?
facts they to busy wondering if kyrie actually thinks the earth is flat
@@damiankirkwood7924doesnt matter. His interview skills are better than anyone’s in their own field of work.
They don’t tap into ppls careers just throw a script infront and tell them say it
Because they’re usually asking about games not their life story 😂
I love how the sports guys always want to know what the 'rules' are... Classic.
Except he didn't dab!
So true!
Because they're all so self-obsessed they can't be bothered to watch a 20-minute episode for context.
@@NuglessMacArthur No, because they've been told their whole lives exactly how to act.
Then they're put into a situation that feels adversarial or competitive and they want to make sure they don't mess up.
Not everyone can watch every RUclips show man, even if it's a huge one they're going on... For most people it's just another interview, until they have the experience.
melo fiending for that ring 😂
Melo was such a great guest. Not pretentious like so many have been before. He's real, he's chill. He's bringing joy.
Real Melo
That’s an excellent point.
With sunglasses.....

Wish he was asked about the trade to NY with impending lockout. He used BK as leverage but it set the team back for years instead of coming as a FA
"I haven't shed a tear in so long" is such classic line lol
Carmelo thinking exactly what I was thinking the pause game will never die 😂
Sean had no idea lol 😆
@righteoussoul2640 Sean works at complex and this entire show was built on hip hop. He definitely knows.

He needed a edge to veg over the heat but sean didn't give it to him 😂😂
hearing the guest go 'these are good questions' always makes my day. Great show, great host.
You can tell a lot about the guests’ character by how they treat Sean, you love to see the amount of respect Melo had for Sean’s effort and attention to detail
Sean is one of the best interviewers ever.
You can definitely see Melo was guarded at first but opened up quite nicely after Sean's interesting questions
him and narduar are at the top.
The classic "I don't want to compliment the guest" comment

For sure man around 17:00 had to remind him that theyre on same team and both back on same page, no intimidation only there for each other.
It never gets old hearing guests compliment Sean on his questions and interview skills. Loved how relaxed they both were talking to each other and learning things I didn’t know before about Carmelo. Great interview!
Gotta love and appreciate Melo’s genuine spirit and the care with which Sean takes care of his guests.
I love how Melo didn’t want to break a seal or reach too far for the last dab! True gentleman 😂
Melo was humble. Really great to see based on how media covers him.
unfortunately the NBA black baling him humbled him a lot

Melo has such an interesting vibe going on. Very calm, classy and confident. Yet also like you are watching a villain who is hiding something.
Carmelo jab-stepping on James Bond kinda look
Anyone who's watched him on the Knicks or nuggets know his swag, cool calm collected, but he is a bull. Underrated af honestly for how good he is and very underrated with how strong he is. He was a scoring champion and the ONLY player of his generation that doesn't flop.

That’s a little aggressive
He’s so laid back….even when he was on fire 👏
Man Prime Melo on the Nuggets was so fun to watch growing up. Glad he's doing good with retirement
As a Lakers fan I will always love Melo for the fight he showed in that Lakers Nuggets WCF series in 2009.

I think all of Denver loves this dude. Melo is the man
It's always awesome to see most guests come in with a "this is a typical interview" attitude, then a few wings in, transform into relaxed & just chilling with Sean. Really speaks to how good Sean is as an interviewer and the quality of his questions!
Sean's respect for Melo and his legacy is evident this episode was surely a gem and had SUCH great questions... loved every minute of it!! Thank you
Why are you so grumpy?
The fact that Sean had to say "careful with the ceiling" instead of "careful around the eyes" 😂
He handled those wings like a champ, think he kept his composure better than alot of the guests! Light work
He didn't dab, my goodness that would have top'd the interview! He did amazing either way 💯👏
The genius of this show is so apparent in this interview. Melo was really closed up and tight at the beginning, but by Da Bomb he's loose, having fun, bantering, and being an awesome guest! Love to see it!
I dunno what I was expecting with melo but I wasn’t expecting him to be soooo chill the whole episode 🤣🤣. Loved it.
He developed a bad reputation later in his career for having a toxic ego. He HATED how Linsanity took over New York, and basically drove Jeremy Lin out. His style of play became outdated, and it took him a long time to change it, to the point people questioned if he needed to retire for good.
@@nahor88 why you need to say all that bruh?

This was a really good episode. You can tell how pumped Sean is to have Melo on the show, but I love how invested Carmelo is.
Much respect, Melo! Took down the gauntlet like a boss, great answers to great questions.

Loving this post-retirement Carmelo Anthony love. One of the collegiate basketball GOAT’s for that Syracuse run, an Olympic GOAT, and one of the greatest scorers/offensive threats to ever dribble a basketball (in my book he’s the best offensive player of his era prime for prime). Love that this man is being given his flowers considering basketball media messed with this man on such a frequent basis when he was an active player.
It’s been said multiple times, but the research that goes into the questions, and Sean’s delivery and conversion during interviews is elite. Can’t think of a show that comes close
Was not expecting Melo on here but boy he knocked it out the park. Was rock solid the entire time and hardly reacted until he got to Da Bomb
Nothing makes me smile more than when guests come on and are amazed by the thoughtful and attention to detailed questions Sean asks!
hes so polite. its nice to watch interviews that ppl are actually listening to each other
Melo is just such a good dude!!!! Easily my favourite episode in a while, all ep's are good but this one just made me smile 🙂
His reaction to Da Bomb is one of my favorites. You can see him *trying* to keep it together, act like it ain't nothin.. but then he just has to let it out. *Woo!*
Fantastic interview, it's always awesome when the guest compliments the questions.
Kobe wouldve been a great guest on here! Specially if other NBA players did it.. his competitiveness wouldve taken it to another level 💯 RIP black mamba
Facts man! He was just starting to appear in a couple of podcasts. Bet he woulda even started his own.
I really wanted Melo to win a NBA ring. This is just as good. Great interview!
The spicy wing aspect of this series is always cool, but what really carries this series is the thought and research Sean put into his questions. You get to learn so many things about each celeb that I might’ve never known
My first ever NBA game was Nuggets vs Thunder. As a kid from Costa Rica hearing all those people screaming MELO! in unison really shocked me. Great memories.
Melo, living up to his name! Handled that hot sauce like it was nothing! If there is a cooler man on the planet, I don't know who he is! Carmelo Anthony, thank you for the years of entertainment, one of the true greats of the game!
No last dab tho 😅
Hahaha, so true!
don't know why I've watched SOOOO many of these and only just now realized that as the wings get hotter, the music gets more intense too! Well done as always!

Melo is and will always be loved by us in Syracuse! Great player. Great interview.
Always been a big fan of melo since his freshman year at Syracuse with that crazy run to the national championship!!!

This was wonderful interview! Melo handled that wit no drink!!! Love this
No surprise that Kobe said this man was the real deal. It's one thing to be able to fly, yet to stay grounded as Camelo so clearly is, is very special. What a tremendous episode; Sean, great questions as always.
Melo is one of my favorite players of all time and always carries himself with grace. Great interview!
Absolutely love this interview … loved Melo’s personality shine in this interview , Sean classic questions, and hearing installation art collections from melo is great. Learned something new today
From a mom of Carmelo fans….i love this guy. Took my babies to a game some time ago (don’t know much about bball, but he was #7 NY) we were in IN. The dude who sold us his jersey told us the hotel he’d be at, so of course my babies wanted to be out there like groupies 😂😂. But he was SO nice to them!! He signed both of their jerseys (which they still proudly have hung at 26 & 22) and when grown folks started pushing my baby out of the way to get to him he shut it all down. I also have to say they had a player Ronnie Turiaf (hopefully spelled correctly) who was awesome! He stopped and talked to my son for quite awhile. Now I’ll watch and see how he handles these wings 😂🖤
TURIAF ! Wholesome story ❤
It's amazing how calm, humble, and down-to-earth Melo sounds here. I really love this interview. Knowing how his career ended, all his controversies, all the "MeloDrama", it's kind of wholesome how he talks right now. Glad to see him happy, know retired.
As a die hard Celtics fan, always wished we got to see this man in green. One of my fav players of all time, love you Melo

I've said it before but you cannot beat the interview skills on this show it blows my mind everytime. I love how you can see the guest slowly realize this is somthing different.
Sean coming through with vulnerability and humility in the interview really came clutch and kinda saved it I think. Love this channel.
This is one of my favorite interviews so far. Such a natural flow with great questions
Me too. Melo was so fun to watch in this interview. He will always be one of my favorite Nuggets players💛💙
I agree!
I always learn a lot from your interviews, Sean. I thought I knew Melo, but I didn’t know any of these stories
Right?? He did amazing and I'm a HUGE Melo fan as a Knicks fan. And Sean barely asked about the NBA. He allowed Melo to talk about his life and the journey to the NBA and after. This might be my favorite hot ones interview because I learned something about Melo in every single question.

Love to see a man who knows his hussle but is still humble about it. Carmelo, hope everything is doing alright today dude
As a long time NBA fan, I had a lot of opinions of Melo as a player but there was no denying the guy put the ball in the cup. But I really enjoyed this interview and his answers, he seems like a very thoughtful and interesting guy. Sean is such a master interviewer.
I never seen him put a ball in a cup in my life
I used to think he was a real dirtbag. BUT then he came to Portland for 1 single year. It was amazing. He was so cool and down to earth. It was one of the biggest reversals I've ever had of an opinion about somebody. I'm a big fan of him now.
I love melo man he seems like a solid dude

Once again, Sean is the greatest interviewer out there. Pumped to hear him bring up Melo being undefeated at the carrier dome. That season was some of the best memories growing up near syracuse. Thanks Melo and Sean!
When you see the guests just smiling in amazement after a question I just can't help it and start smiling too ! So genuine :)
Just an overall nice guy and great basketball player.
what a great interview, imagine how much better we would get to know the players of the games we love, if sports journalists ACTUALLY cared enough and took time to do their due diligence

I have only watched thirty seconds of this episode so far but let me say before I get into it, Melo deserves eight stars from the jump for taking on the wings of death while wearing a turtleneck! The Patek is sweet too!
This might be one of my favorite episodes. I have always followed Melo and love to see him doing so well post basketball. It would be awesome to see more players from that era of hip hop basketball. That was the best era ever.
We love you Melo! Thanks for the memories during your time in Denver!

What a genuinely nice guy ! Being from Australia and not into basketball at all, i thought this was a great interview, smooth, chilled out
So many athletes struggle with retirement and don't know what to do. It's so great to see guys like Melo, like D-Wade, like JJ Watt, not only thrive in their post-playing days, but even doing better for themselves financially. I will have to scope out Melo's wine company to see if he sells anywhere near me. Great episode as always! Sean is a beast when it comes to research! And yeah, speaking from personal experience, Da Bomb is no joke.
Love this guy thanks Sean for bringing in a great one
Gotta love Melo; just a laid back guy. Most be extra with their reactions from the wings, that's probably the first time someone was truly genuine.
