15 years ago I sat in my friend Jatzens room while several of our classmates took turns playing against each other with the default classes. That simple day set me on a journey that I'm still happy to be on. I'm 31 as of January & I don't see myself quitting gaming ever. I'm sure I'll have a console or handheld while I'm in a nursing home 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Still remember playing this for the first time and being completely surprised and blown away. My first cod game and to me still the best cod and it isn’t close. The story mode was so creative and revolutionary then the multiplayer was the same. Wish they can recreate this vibe
Started with this game playing split screen with the homies and that evolved to playing all night drinking Mountain Dew, screaming and waking my parents, standing outside GameStop for the mw2 midnight release. What a time to be a gamer. I wish we could all go back. Shout out BlameTruth too lmaooooo
0:50 Things Eric has done his whole life: play CoD, play Pokemon, play guitar, eat, and take shits Things Eric has NOT done his whole life: piss or shower
I know this is off topic from the vid but hear me out. Merc, you gotta try the Finn LMG in MW now. It’s bugged and now has the best hip-fire accuracy out of any gun with the chainsaw stock and the harrier adverse barrel attached. Imagine beaming people 30-40 meters away without even aiming. That’s how accurate this is.
I played this game sun up to sun down for five days, Christmas break of 2007. This game was a revelation for online shooters for console gaming. It was the first widespread online shooter that everyone I knew that was into gaming bought.
This was the my first call of duty to ever play and it’s what started my gaming love and have played every call of duty since even if they were horrible with the jet packs
You were born in 2007 goddamn you never lived in a world with slow internet or before smartphones plus cod4 had some of the best graphics for its time based off 2007 standards
Now that I watch this video and you mentioned that it was showing there was 3,000 people playing the first thing that went to my head was " now it's a ghost town "
Good times man, I remember my local Movie Gallery set up a Call of Duty 4 FFA tournament and the winner won a copy of any MW2 they wanted. I ended up winning a match on Showdown but not the overall tournament but I still got the Collector's Edition anyways and missed school the next day lol.
I got deranked on cod 4 multiplayer so many times and got 10th prestige back so many times only to get deranked again, eventually i just gave up on cod 4. But man those were the days, grinding some cod 4 multiplayer
I believe that COD4 is extremely cultural significant to the gaming community. Not only was it the first online FPS game for many people, but along with Halo 3 this game ushered in the debut of mainstream console online play. I know that earlier consoles had online capabilities but the Xbox 360 and PS3 made that technology easily accessible to so many people. My first ever experience in online gaming was TDM on downpour, I remember it vividly.
the game is still active on ps3, if you get a message that says "downloading game settings..." fore a long time just reset your router or unplug and replug your ethernet
I couldn’t play cod 4 because when I bought it, it didn’t work so I had take it back to the store and I’ve never played it since. Only mw2 and 3 I’ve played, so I guess that’s something
*10,000 LIKES* for more OG COD stuff!
“50,000 people used to live here, now it’s a ghost town” is now too real for the Xbox servers lmao
Plz try playing more World at War, zombies or multiplayer on PC.
Maybe try the old blops games; snipers only or gun game torture
@M3RKMUS1C There's a piece of software for CoD4 PC called Gameranger that lets you host custom lobbies
"15 years ago" all ghillied up mission makes sense now lmao
Truly 15 years ago

“50,000 people used to live here, now it’s a ghost town.” This quote perfectly explains the state of the game.
It's amazing how barebones this game is, yet still has more content than the most recent games.
Legit has better graphics and frames than 2042
More isn’t always better. This was the best COD. Now it’s overdone.
Community servers r the best

ive played almost all of the call of dutys and i still cant get over how nostalgic is can be..
