Fellow Albertan and small towner here. I always try to visit Drumheller every year if I can. Love the history, the amazing hospitality, dinosaur trail, all of the museums. Can't wait to return!
Enjoyed our visit a few summers ago. Especially seeing the detailed scaled model of the HMCS Drumheller war ship and photo of its' crew at the Drumheller Legion - which my uncle served on during during the second world war. The ship was named after Drumheller, Alberta and served in the North Atlantic.
I grew up there, so this was nice to see. You should do an in depth version like this. Was so nice to see some of the old buildings and streets. When did the corner restaurant close? They had the best fries and gravy ever. The town seems so....small now. Great place to grow up though.
thanks for commenting! It's been closed for a few years now at least! I haven't lived there in about 6 or 7 years, so I am unsure of the actual closure date!
Sometimes it's not mention but please check out the homestead Museum. It does not focus on dinosaurs but coal history and farming history and even history of the hospitals around here. It is way bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Absolutely amazing collection of everything. Be sure to check it out.
This was outstanding. You're gonna help a lot of people who are visiting and RUclips this for research. That bridge wa crazy too! I've never seen anything like that.
This video is great! I spends a couple hours on google maps, planning my trip tomorrow and your video just fill up all the 90% I missed. :D Thank you so much!
Im sleeping there with a good margin of the grade 7 I’m in grade 7 my self and I have never been to drumheller so I would like to see what its about thanks for this video😁
