Hey! I just discovered your channel as of 4 months ago and it really helps motivate me to keep pursuing my dream career as a pharmacist! I’m 16 in high school and tbh, there’s not enough pharmacist RUclipsrs out there.
I agree, there's not a lot of pharmacists on RUclips! I am happy to hear my videos are a source of motivation for you :') Good luck on your journey to pharmacy!
Hi Dr. Sarah, I’m in my last year of high school and I’m set on becoming a pharmacist someday, thank you so much for making these videos! Really helps me stay motivated to study and achieve my goals
Hello again! I just started my APPEs so this is getting more and more real to me haha, I'll probably be binging your residency videos again later, looking forward to more APPE/residency Q&A videos :)
Wow. That's a lot of work for 7:15 am. I don't drink caffeinated drinks because I have some sort of sensitivity or intolerance. What other drinks or vitamins do you recommend to stay alert at your job? It's tough to be alert during the afternoon slump. Thank you for your service. You do a lot for the hospital.
Are you able to handle tea? I find that tea is a good alternative for those that can't handle coffee! I think having any sort of drinks and snacks with you to nibble on as you work helps :)
Hii, i just started watching your videos :) Im going to be a pharmacist soon and i'm starting to explore ways I can keep guidelines/notes so I can refer back to it during work if needed.. Do you have any tips and do you keep something similar (for example google drive, notion, etc) ? Thank you! :) Love your content.
Congrats! Yay, you must be excited :) I bought a 4x6 photo album from the dollar store and would put in print outs of guidelines and hospital protocols in there for a quick physical reference! I also created little check lists for all the different shifts so that I can stay organized and make sure I don't forget anything (ordering labs, changing the orders, signing my notes, etc). Ultimately, it's up to your personal preference!
great video Dr. sarah! I’m not a medical professional by any means but I am a graphic designer and just wanted to drop in and say awesome video/graphics/storytelling skills!! where do you find non copywrite music for your videos? if you don’t mind sharing - thanks!
Awww, wow thank you so much!! That means a lot coming from a graphic designer 🥹 When I first started, I honestly just googled or search up copyright free music on youtube & hoped for the best! Now that I am monetized, it is a little easier now since RUclips has a Creator Music option for us to select free music or purchase music to use.
Hi i really need ur help....is MSC oncology after finishing pharmd is a good idea or not, to become a oncology clinical pharmacist...i hope u reply me❤
You can do a pharmacy oncology residency after completing your pharmD! Oncology is actually a big growing field in pharmacy so I think that’s a good path if you are interest in it ☺️
In college I had my pharmacy technician license so I worked/volunteered at different pharmacies. During pharmacy school, I was a pharmacy intern at a hospital so I did a lot of technician duties like compounding IVs and restocking meds in the omnicells!
@@SarahPharmD but as you grow up can you widen your career like owning a pharmacy or becoming a manger how can you widen your career as a clinical pharmacist

Hi Dr sarah can you tell us that how many pharmcist are in a hospital where you work
There are currently 38 staff inpatient pharmacists at my hospital! This doesn’t include inpatient supervisors or the outpatient pharmacists.

Hi is being a hospital pharmacist worth it like after 5 years will you be making alot of money or a community pharmacy is better
I would say the hospital pharmacist pay is comparable to community pharmacy or even can be more depending on the area you work or hospital speciality!
