There are a few I try very hard to watch, not many but you are definitely one I do enjoy watching and you have inspired me to save. Much love ❤ My goals for this year is to do better with my saving challenges and not spending to much. Getting emergency fund to $2000.00 would be great. I did the 100 envelope challenge in 2024 to pay off my credit card and I did accomplish that thanks to you and a few others. We are building a deck for our holiday trailer lot so I am trying to save half that money by May. I started a year long book so we will see how that goes.
Hi Denise, glad you're giving yourself grace, you'll make mistakes, forget things, flounder a bit, but pretty soon you'll come to a "new normal". It won't be the same, but you're an upbeat person, so you'll find the good.

Oh Denise, it’s 3 months for me and I still cry everyday. I started 2 journals. One is a faith journal and the other is a regular happy one. It’s like I’m living 2 lives. I truly understand you. You lost your Scott and I lost my son Sean. Love you
I love all your stuff and you take all the time you need and if you make a undated calendar can you put lines in the boxes so it helps with writing straight lol my goals are to make sure I have my emergency fund and pay my bills a month ahead ❤😊
My grandfather lost both his wife of 70+ years and his son within a month of each other and it’s been 3 years now. He still struggles and that’s okay ❤❤ no one can tell you how to grieve and sometimes you need a laugh even while grieving
Living well every day is an amazing goal Denise - more people should try that, regardless of their situation. I'm saving towards an early retirement. My savings are working backwards from when I can get my state pension & once they reach the current date, I will be retiring. Officially I've got 20yr...but I'm aiming to retire in 5yr 🤞🏻 Huge virtual hugs for you from the UK 🤗 The fact that you're doing anything is good. Don't be hard on yourself. You will get there, it will just look a little different than before. The big thing I am doing this year is opened a high yield savings and instead of paying extra taxes to IRS each paycheck, going to transfer it to HYS to have my money make some money for me. Looking forward to see the progress. Now need to think of a fun was to track it.
It takes a while to find your new normal. Be patient and give yourself some grace. As for my goals, this is the year I will pay off my car loan! Woohoo!!
I'm continuing to save to pay the house off.... this year it will be an 8-month goal to save. I have 4 months already saved, so if I can do this, I will have a year paid off early....so exciting. I'm saving for a new laptop which is a new challenge for the year. Christmas, birthdays, emergency, and pets, will stay in play...and I'm saving for legal fees for this month. I may have to pull from another envelope but then pay it back. My husband is wanting to pursue negligence which resulted in me having a rupture in my small intestine and emergency surgery with a 6-week hospital stay...I almost didn't make it. I didn’t really have any goals last year. It was my first year and I’m not really good for the goals but this year I wanna take on a few and accomplish them and debating whether to start the hundred envelopes or the 24 envelopes. Since I haven’t had a lot of experience with those bigger things, I think I’ll do the 24 envelopes and then if it goes well, I will switch that into the hundred envelope rest of the normal things pay debt, save, invest, sinking funds etc. I do wanna purchase a generator, but I’m not sure if I can save that much in one year or not to use oxygen and a CPAP at night so I need reliable electric. And all the other many reasons you need a generator to provide when the power is out. The goal I have is to pre-pay both my husband and my funeral costs. A lot of people think that is morbid, but I think it’s one of the best gifts to your children and family that they don’t have to do all of that while they are grieving.
