- Paul Bernardo is one of Canada’s most notorious serial killers, and it’s not like we have a shortage of them. He’s a serial rapist who stalked the Toronto area in the late 1980s before eventually turning to murdering school girls, employing his then-wife Karla Homolka as an accomplice. It's not inconceivable that Canada will eventually let him out of jail.
Karla should have never gotten out.

Cody Legebokoff. The serial killer killed 3 women and one child before he was 21. He weapons of choice were a pickaxe and a sledgehammer. He is in medium security. He will probably be let out of prison within 10 years. 😡

And these laws these changes to the system that allow people like Paul Bernardo to switching to lower-level prisons are directly things to the conservative government and Stephen Harper. They're the ones that change those locks not Justin Trudeau not like they want to play it off as how do I know I work in the system. Also the death penalty cost more money than just keeping someone in jail. Per capita the United States has more murders and more violent crime than Canada does. And they have the death penalty. The death penalty does not deter crime.

We should bring back the death penalty. Give them 2-3 years in prison before the sentence is carried out, so as to give them sufficient time to find evidence to the contrary. Then go round Karla up and give them a joint execution

Now banned book called { "under cover of darkness' - something like that with word darkness in it and their wedding picture on front) shed more negative light on the woman 'sweetheart deal Karla.' As said - deaths only took place When she was involved. After reading the book - was thinking it was Karla the instigator more and more. Also - at the time of the arrests when this was very current - saw on a show like 60 minutes - an interview with 'Bernardo's friend.' Said friend went to jail and revealed to Bernardo that Karla got the 11 year deal - his 'instant' reaction was to say in anger 'she's the sick b....' -
that was his spontaneous response. That combined with reading the book gave me pause to lean more towards Karla wanting, enjoying maybe instigating the extremes of sadism - especially when her very own sister is involved.
The only justice in Canada is the justice you make, the government will never help you.
If they're going to be released, send them to Trudy's house.

Not entirely true. Hes listed as a dangerous offender, meaning he has an indeterminate sentence, meaning they can pretty much keep him locked up as long as they want.
He will NEVER get out of prison. EVER. PERIOD.

He was found not criminally responsible. He never spent any time in prison. He did however go to a mental facility.

One of his victims was dismembered and encased in blocks of cement.......one of those blocks was weeping blood......thus getting her discovered and him on the radar ......think about that.
He was only on the radar after one of his victims saw his face.
He was interviewed by police but was not a suspect. He even gave them his dna. It wasn't matched until after the girls were killed.

At this rate, they're basically giving permission for vigilante justice. If Paula got a university degree from prison, and Paul is being protected and set up for eventual release, it's telling the public (if the same standards are upheld) it might actually be in one's own interests to start picking off violent offenders.
I guess that's one way to save taxpayers' money. 🤔

@@icantwithyoutoday7948 They protested outside of the school and I doubt they still have her around, that was 2017. She only got sentenced to 12 years, in my opinion for her crimes she should have been hung and done. I like to think if he gets out someone will just deal with it.

I thought the media reported it and then and only then did the school stop allowing her to volunteer there and bring her dog in for attention from all the children. Either way, Im not against your comments at all. Just saying, they will probably release Paul and nothing will happen to him just like nothing has happened to Karla. He will probably be a camp counselor and only when parents threaten to stop paying money to have their kids go to said camp will he be told he isnt welcome anymore.

But like you say it wasn’t until then they did something about it. Sadly you’re probably right with Paul but neither have them at the very least should be able to walk free.
