You know, I've always wondered, why do the helmets for Stargate and other tech used by Ra's race have the same texture lines as the tech used by the aliens in Independence Day? If I remember correct, in Independence Day, the implication was that all the hard metal tech they used wasn't as much assembled as it was grown. And the helmets in Stargate collapse to nothing, so could that be a connection?
