I remember Woolworth, I used to shop in the Woolworth in Gastonia, NC. I used to live in Asheville, NC back in 1976 I stayed in Asheville NC for about a year &:a half.
I have to go there in September for a few days. I'm watching all the Asheville RUclips videos to see where everything's at. Great job on this walking tour video showing the names of the businesses, places of interest and restaurants. Thank you.
I remember the Old Woolworth company, boy did that bring back memories! My grandparents called it the "five and dime" store...it was such a treat to spend my allowance and get so many goodies ❤

Hopefully We are going to Gatlinburg Tn in May. We were thinking about stopping in Ashville on Our way home. We live in Kenhorst Pa. Love your videos!!
This was a great video. Thank you for making it! My wife and I are going to be moving to Asheville next year, and I really enjoy seeing the city through different people's eyes!
Some really nice architecture and history in Asheville for such a tiny city. I see you avoided speaking about the obelisk, I think that is still up in the air
Oh yes, one of our favorite cities. We're planning on visiting the Biltmore during our next trip up your way. We've been to Asheville loads of times and it never gets old. Cool double decker bus shop. Lovely tour guys:) Best wishes, James and Kim
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Will Ezra thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I live/work just a bit South of Asheville, a person at work mentioned it was in the top 10% most violent cities in the country and that they had lost over 60 APD officers and were not replacing them (defunding maybe)? I was trying to find more info on this, is it true? Thanks for the help, and nice video.
We were there the week before Christmas to tour Biltmore. Stayed at Campfire Lodgings which was a great campground. Asheville is neat but Biltmore was definitely the high point of the visit.
Thank you, Karen and Mike! I've been hoping for an Asheville video! I adore Mast General Store; they have got some really neat items. If an interstate can be beautiful, 26 is the one. What amazing views while driving! Thanks again for another fantastic adventure!!!
Great work as usual. A lot of nice architecture and history in that city. Unfortunately it has the second highest crime rate amongst the 15 cities with over 100,000 population in North Carolina. It also has a state income tax and the property tax is substantially higher than Tennessee. As the old saying goes; “Its a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there.” Have you guys ever did a video on Maryville, Tn? I was told that is a nice quite city with a good atmosphere. Another idea would be Oakridge, Tn which is rich in history for the work done there during WW2. In any event great video! Thank You 🙏
Hi Big Burn! Thank you for sharing. We’ve not had the opportunity to visit Maryville for a video yet. Thanks for the ideas and watching. Much appreciated!
I live in Asheville. There were many aspects of the city that you didn’t show. We are woke and soon going broke. Tolerance in Asheville is a one way street.

We've been several times but unfortunately they do not allow videoing. Thanks for watching!
People are wilfully blind to evil that is getting worse by the minute . Good bye Asheville.
I live in Asheville. There were many aspects of the city that you didn’t show. We are woke and soon going broke. Tolerance in Asheville is a one way street.
Looks a lot cleaner than Athens, Georgia that has the similar crepy weirdo population!
