Also she only cried in 1 of her win animations. Her crying has been greatly exaggerated. Josie felt believable & natural, Azucena's non stop coffee talk doesn't.

I like this one. No special powers or projectiles. And the flick is the pièce de résistance of her bubbly character. Not to take away from Lucky Chloe and Josie Rizal and I respect those characters, but she's the upgraded version of them in Tekken 8

As a Peruvian, I am glad to see they are advertising Peruvian Coffee. Abroad, people usually only know of Colombian Coffee when they are offered South American coffee. Colombian Coffee is indeed great, but we also have amazing coffee in Peru. What I did dislike is that the voice actress doing Azucena's voice seems to be Mexican, hence, a mexican accent. These are mistakes Devs usually do. It also happened in Ghost Recon Wildlands which develops in Bolivia yet the Bolivian citizens in the game speak with Mexican accent. For Azucena, I would prefer to have a Peruvian actress instead, with a Peruvian accent, that is. I am aware that finding voice actors from a specific country sometimes is difficult for Devs as well. Other than that, the rest looks great!

Excelente inclusión de un personaje sudamericano para la franquicia de Tekken, omitiendo la parte en la que menciona café más de 1000 veces, parece que es un ersonaje facil de manejar, no es pesada y tiene buenos reflejos, buenas defensas y se mueve rápido, yo pensé que sería un tipo de personaje que tendría las mismas técnicas que otro personaje ya incorporado de Tekken como paso con la chica que sustituyo a Eddy Goldo en Tekken 5 y que su estilo de pelea era igual al de Eddy, pero no, e este caso parece ser que Azucena tiene su estilo de pelea personalizado. Eso es bueno y por otra parte el Stage es muy bueno, la verdad se pasaron esta de 10 tanto el stage como el personaje y como dije antes ya, espero que Kotobukiya le saque una figura a escala de aquí a unos años, yo si la compro.

Not to mention Lars would lose any meaning as the last "pure-blooded Mishima"! 😡 Tekken 7 was supposed to be the "end" of the Mishima Saga meaning the end of Heihachi's story with Jin and Kazuya wrapping it up in Tekken 8! Reina's existence implies that Tekken 8 isn't the end of the Mishima Saga either! It would make more sense if a Hachijo was introduced instead!

Asuka was a good character with a lot of potential to be important to the story but ruined because the idiotic lili rivalry. Jinpachi was dope and currently the best Mishima that debuted in the last 20 years, also namco only brought him back for tag 2 only so he’s not overused. Devil Jin - was the most requested character since tekken 3 and i think he worked fine in 5 but became a jobber in 6 because jin was in his emo era. Lars - good character but really stupid making him a heihachi son. Young Heihachi - i hate this character. Kasumi - didn’t needed to be in tekken 7 at all. Reina - another heihachi child? Now kazuya have 3 siblings? This is really stupid and by far a mistake to make her heihachi daughter. Rather see her as kazuya bastard daughter because we can get a jin vs reina rivalry in tekken 9. But it’s tekken harada want to bring back heihachi moves. This is almost stupid as making honoka and ayane sisters in dead or alive.

As a peruvian the idea sounds good but since Azucena has fighting venues in Cusco, she would have preferred an alternate venue in full Takanakuy (traditional fist combat in Cusco) and that apart from saying "I like coffee", she can say: "I love my matecito" (because of the mate of coca, more traditional here in Peru) and when he was going to knock out an opponent with a special attack he could say Misky wanuy which means sweet dreams in Quechua.

As an interpreter and translator I can surely say translations are not “transfers”. We do that translate word by word but MEANING. So when she says “I could this all day” is a correct translation when she say “vamos a divertirnos (let’s have some fun)”, but you see, the subtitles describe her emotions and feelings better, which is: I enjoy this A LOT.
Tekken was once a game with fighters representing different fightstyles in general. Ok, you had Kuma, Alex and the comic relief characters like Mokujin, Combot and some weird ones here and there. But we are getting more and more characters in the Lucky Chloe kind of vibe lately. What exactly is Azucena's fighting style? Since she is from Peru she could have represented Bakom, a fighting style used in the Peruvian militaty similar to Krav Maga. Yet we get these very weird moves which look more like a weird Kung Fu mix, definitely not Bakom. I don't get it. I hate to be the one complaining but this is a very generic, Lucky Chloe vibes character not suited IMO in the Tekken universe. To each his own I guess...
It seems like they are more and more going for a "We need to have a fighter for every country in the world" stance. I'm not a fan of these weird fighting styles either.

Por ello uno de los juegos más emblemáticos de lucha de los últimos tiempos, "Tekken 8" dio a conocer la presentación de la peruana "AZUCENA", como uno de los personajes revelación del juego, conocida como: "La reina del café" que dicho sea de paso nos representa muy bien a todos los peruanos.

Now we know tekken 8 have 32 characters in the roster, and we have 2 more newcomers. One is possible to be a French CQC fighter named victor and the other one supposed to be another mishima, heihachi’s bastard daughter named reina.
@@BensyBensI hate the bastard daughter part. Lars' birth barely made any sense but Reina's birth is just unnecessary and turns Heihachi into a man-whore like Zeus! Which is also unnecessary and doesn't make any sense and basically makes Heihachi's explanation why he had Lars in the first place redundant! Not to mention Lars would lose any meaning as the last "pure-blooded Mishima"! 😡 Tekken 7 was supposed to be the "end" of the Mishima Saga meaning the end of Heihachi's story with Jin and Kazuya wrapping it up in Tekken 8! Reina's existence implies that Tekken 8 isn't the end of the Mishima Saga either! It would make more sense if a Hachijo was introduced instead!
@@SonySlasher2468 i want new characters but since tekken 5 we got a brand new member to the Mishima/Kazama family and that’s really starting to be boring.
Asuka was a good character with a lot of potential to be important to the story but ruined because the idiotic lili rivalry.
Jinpachi was dope and currently the best Mishima that debuted in the last 20 years, also namco only brought him back for tag 2 only so he’s not overused.
Devil Jin - was the most requested character since tekken 3 and i think he worked fine in 5 but became a jobber in 6 because jin was in his emo era.
Lars - good character but really stupid making him a heihachi son.
Young Heihachi - i hate this character.
Kasumi - didn’t needed to be in tekken 7 at all.
Reina - another heihachi child? Now kazuya have 3 siblings? This is really stupid and by far a mistake to make her heihachi daughter. Rather see her as kazuya bastard daughter because we can get a jin vs reina rivalry in tekken 9. But it’s tekken harada want to bring back heihachi moves. This is almost stupid as making honoka and ayane sisters in dead or alive.
@@BensyBensMy thoughts exactly! Introduce some Mishima style Karate Student instead if you want to incorporate Heihachi's moveset in Tekken 8. But don't you dare make Heihachi a father to a bastard child again! Lars is one thing and that barely made any sense but this is just too much and makes me want to throw my PS5 controller toward my TV screen in rage quit!! 😡
A new character who is fuelled by coffee? Bandai Namco know what I like!
If Lee Chaolan isn't in this game, she might even become my new main. Really interesting combination of bubbly character with good looks, funny gimmick (advertising coffee) and really cool looking fighting style (fortunately without any of the super power shenanigans).
I love the way she evades moves has a steve main a counter hit focused character i hope she has the same gameplay style
Azucena is the girl who enthusiastically gives you coffe to wake you up and then proceeds in knocking you out again 😅

si te fijas en el 2:19 Azucena absorve y concentra toda la energia de los espiritus liberados con una mano y se las lanza a su rival creandose una onda explosiva ..... esos espiritus son liberados al hacer explosion los craneos de cristal 2:01 dentro del stage de Azucena .

As a peruvian the idea sounds good but since Azucena has fighting venues in Cusco, she would have preferred an alternate venue in full Takanakuy (traditional fist combat in Cusco) and that apart from saying "I like coffee", she can say: "I love my matecito" (because of the mate of coca, more traditional here in Peru) and when he was going to knock out an opponent with a special attack he could say Misky wanuy which means sweet dreams in Quechua.
If there is a peruvian man, please make him fight with "Baile de las tijeras", it could be epic!

As an interpreter and translator I can surely say translations are not “transfers”. We do that translate word by word but MEANING.
So when she says “I could this all day” is a correct translation when she say “vamos a divertirnos (let’s have some fun)”, but you see, the subtitles describe her emotions and feelings better, which is: I enjoy this A LOT.
Finally, a NEW character and she looks awesome to boot!! Also love the new stage and music too

Tekken was once a game with fighters representing different fightstyles in general. Ok, you had Kuma, Alex and the comic relief characters like Mokujin, Combot and some weird ones here and there. But we are getting more and more characters in the Lucky Chloe kind of vibe lately. What exactly is Azucena's fighting style? Since she is from Peru she could have represented Bakom, a fighting style used in the Peruvian militaty similar to Krav Maga. Yet we get these very weird moves which look more like a weird Kung Fu mix, definitely not Bakom.
I don't get it. I hate to be the one complaining but this is a very generic, Lucky Chloe vibes character not suited IMO in the Tekken universe. To each his own I guess...

She seems dull. What’s her motivation for joining the the tournament. Probably her character ending will be her beating up lily declaring coffee is better than tea. I’ve already lost hope for this game. Mortal Kombat is looking more fun again. At least in that game they are utilising the games deep history and roots with all the characters n history
Also wish she would have an actual fighting style. Doesn't even have to be from the same country. Leeroy is doing a fine job repping Wing Chun. Prefer something like lydia.
