Yes, & My Mother still has her Ecko Hostess Trolley & it all still works perfectly even though it's now ??? 50 ?? years old, I know we had it while we still lived in Sutton Coldfield & we moved from there in 1982 so it's definitely more than 40 years old anyway.

They've owned that Volvo since 1977 but the log book was updated in 2012 so someones updated it. It's been off the road since at least before 2006 though.

"I honestly don't know how they did the washin' up in here." They didn't. 😳 Literally everything, including the cars, is stuffed full of trash. If they could put trash in it, they did. This is like a next level episode of "Hoarders".
That was not easy for me to watch. It's sad that people live like that and it's sad that a lot of people fail to see that hoarding is a mental health condition. But it's good to see that you and Tazer are so respectful on your travels when exploring
Cool video. I know someone who hoards. He still has newspapers stacked up in his front room dating back to the 1950s. It's a trauma for him to throw anything away at all.
That BMW 5 series, give that to tim and fuzz townse ds they would do a massive job and make it looking like brand new as if it came out of the show room as for volvo same again get a professional car restorer, and as for the house clear everything out get in Electricians Plasterers Carpenters They would work wonders

Just stumbled on your channel and been hooked since! I am from Gibraltar so was funny to see it on the newspaper at 20:58 as Gibraltar is only a small speck on the map. 2002 was a crazy year politically with that referendum that went on.
I think that in the middle of this huge mess there must be a lot of interesting things. We here on the other side of the screen are imagining moving all this! 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Upstairs what you called a hair permer was actually a hair dryer...I have a neighbor who hoards, he doesn't bathe, nor does he use toilet paper. Someone tried to help and backed up a truck to his front door and used a garden rake to pull the trash out. It completely filled the truck and he said it was only the beginning. He has since got help. Horrible. That's no way to live. Thanks.💜👩🇺🇸 STAY SAFE! 🙏🙏🙏
Crikey I had one of those cameras in the early 80s.Looks like a very old teasmade. My elderly neighbours in the 80s used to have one.Used to hear it go off every morning at 6.30!!Great explore.x
I had a similar situation with a relative who, once retired, dementia set in and they went from house proud town mouse to living in a landfill site in a couple of short years. I had to set up an intervention to get them out and into a care home. Very sad.
Brilliant video😁that clock and kettle I remember those but not as old as the one you saw tho😁that big perming thing u saw was a very old hairdryer for hair salons people used to sit under those with rollers in their hair so their hair would set with curls!!amazing that looked so old a antique 👍
Perhaps the neighborhood also used it as a refuse dump. On top of deceased hoarders collection. Seen that at abandoned farms in our rural area in Michigan. And you're right, hoarding is a mental disease that gets progressively worse as one ages.
Yup it's a 'teasmaid' an alarm clock which made you tea automatically when you woke up. My grandfather had one, a wonderfully pointlessly piece of 1960s gadgetry :)
That clock with a light bulb on top and a kettle behind looks to be a very early teasmaid. It would light up and boil the kettle for you in the morning at a set time. Lose loved ones and retention can kick in as part of the grieving process. Very sad but can and does happen to anyone.
20.08 probably know already but that is a bedside teas made, with a handy light on top! Set it as an alarm and it boils the water and makes a cuppa for you at a certain time.
Very strange, number plates fitted on BMW are gone now. Registered 3 FAF seen on other video, probably removed by someone who wanted to put on his car. V5 documents was probably there. BMW untaxed since septembre 2015 but the Volvo still currently SORNed !
It really hurts me to watch a video like this, I didn't watch all the way through. What dreadful nightmare did the previous occupant descend into as their life spiralled out of control. Tragic One of the things I find odd is that hoarders never seem to hoard anything worth keeping.

That contraption looks like a teas maid , you set a timer so in the morning it would make the tea then wake you up for your morning cuppa
Yup, I agree, early teas maid. My grandparents had one very like this updated to a newer style in the 1990s, I still have it!
Yes indeed. That particular teas maid with the light and square face was made by Hawkins and dates from the 1950s.
Yep definitely a teas-maid for morning brew at bedside, I remember my parents had one.
Put a new battery and some gas in that Volvo and it’ll probably drive right out of there!
