My heart skipped a beat when you entered into the home...I suddenly felt like I was transported back in time and could almost hear the Walton family bustling about... when you got to the Grandparents Room, I almost expected to see Grandpa and Grandma Walton bantering back and forth like they were known to do. Such a nice walk down Memory Lane bringing me back to the simpler days of my childhood watching the Waltons every Thursday night. What a treat! Thank you so much!

This is extremely well done as a modern B&B. When we were last in Schuyler and toured the restored Hamner House the groundbreaking ceremony for this had just happened and an illustration was up on the property. I was already impressed with the Hamner and Schoolhouse restorations. When I first visited in the early 90s the family house was closed and delapidated. Now if the ancient convenience store could be redone as Godseys you'd pretty much have the fictional town. I'd like to go back next year.

As a Waltons fan, I for one think this bed and breakfast is absolutely amazing. They’ve done so incredibly well. It disheartens me to see so many picky comments. “The ouija board shouldn’t be there” and “the faucet is wrong” come on people, be fair

Wow what a beautiful and relaxing tour of this wonderful home. They really got the layout of that first floor right! I hope the B&B is a great success! Thanks for your video.
What a fun ringtone! While we were taping the mud room/gift store scene, the owner's phone rang using that ringtone. After she finished that conversation, she said to us, "Sorry, I had to take that. It was Eric Scott (Ben Walton)." 😃😃😍❤️🎊

Absolutely outstanding!!! I was wondering when the replica project would be completed. However, the concept of a bed and breakfast is pue genius. I immediately recognized each room before they were introduced. Now, visitors can say "Goodnight John-Boy", while spending the night on Walton's Mountain. I've been an avid Waltons fan since they first premiered in the "Homecoming". I've been trying to get to Schuyler for years. I can hardly wait to visit. Thank you for posting, and thank God the construction project came to fruition. Great channel,God Bless!!! Check it Out! Ciao!!!

Stayed there last Thursday, what a beautiful house and was to the tee like the house on The Waltons. Didn't want to leave. We stayed in the grandparents' room
Thank you for sharing and taking us along with you, I enjoyed the video. I would love to stay there for at least a couple of nights. I also noticed the ouija board and I kinda remember watching the kids playing around with it. Also some of the comments here from people seems like they blame you for it, though it seems like to me or they just got upset about it being on the dresser. It's not your fault about the board being there. Anyways, I love your video of the tour of the Walton's Home. I will subscribe to your channel now after watching. God bless and again, thank you. C. Hello friend and fellow Waltons fan and new subscriber! Yes, it’s been quite interesting to learn from the comments that folks are asking me to remove the board from the house. LOL. I have nothing to do with the house except for making the video. I did mention to Judy Norton “Mary Ellen Walton” that she might want to make a video explaining the use of the Ouija board. If you don’t follow her on RUclips you might want to do so. Have a great day friend 🤎🍁🤎katie
@@HeritageWaysKatie yes I do follow Judy Norton on her channel. I have talked to her a few times about her memories and stories about The Walton's. It would be nice to hear her take about the board. Thank you for mentioning her RUclips channel, God Bless. C. Wayne Brock California
I love all the special touches, that really make it seem like the walton house! But there should be an aviators cap in the boys room to represent Jim Bob, and the should serve "the recipe" ( it could be lemonade or something)!
@@HeritageWaysKatie yes, you can probably Google it and find it. Like you, I can tell my mom's watching it by just the sound of the screen door. I loved their home although, one bathroom wasn't enough for that large family lol! I think Grandma and Grandpa (who was my favourite) had a bathroom of their own which they deserved I think.
Thanks very much! Yes, indeed, our family loves Little House and The Andy Griffith Show but I'll have to admit I love the Waltons more than all those. Thanks for touring the house with us. 😃💚kt

If you are lodging at either of the homes and therefore occupying a bedroom, how is a tour given to see all the bedrooms in the homes? While tours are being conducted, are people allowed to sit and stay for as long as they want? Just want to get an idea as to how this works if you are lodging there while tours are taking place. Thanks!
Hello fellow Waltons fan! I am afraid I do not know the answer but I am guessing rooms that are rented/occupied are not allowed to be seen by others. We were able to tour on opening week-end. The Waltons child actors had stayed there but rooms were open for us to film this video tour after they had left. Thanks for visiting the home with us.
Renee G thanks for watching. I’m not familiar with that show. Are you saying that they used the home in Hollywood where the Waltons was filmed? This particular bed and breakfast was actually not built until last fall and has been used as a B&B.
Deborah Allen In the episode where the kids brought it into the house, grandma and mama were not too thrilled. I think the kids ended up taking it to the barn to play with it. Do you remember that episode?
I was thinking the same thing about that ouija board, I'm like, NO WAY!! But I do kinda remember them playing the ouija board out in the barn. Was it from the Home Coming Christmas pilot?
@@waynebrock7248 Hello and thanks for watching! No, it wasn’t from the homecoming movie but I think it might’ve been in either the first or second season.
The Ouija board is not my idea of a prop that I personally would want to see in a bed and breakfast. As a Christian it would make me uncomfortable to know I was sleeping with that thing in the home. I'm sure their are other props that the bed and breakfast could have chosen. This one is not it.
Yes, it was an object from one of the episodes, but one of the episodes that's kind of unsettling, that I don't bother to watch, when I go through the series. In the episode, Grandma makes them take it out to the barn, because It's unsettling to her. I would think, something like a model airplane, since Jim Bob was so into flying one day, or a harmonica, like one that Jason played, would have been a better choice than that particular item. I for sure wouldn't want to stay there now.
@@laurabledsoe5878 I agree. I would not stay in that B & B for that reason alone. I think people are either completely unaware of spiritual realities or in complete denial of them.
This has been the question of the year since I put the video out. LOL of course I have no affiliation with this house or its contents but I just continually tell folks that this was a prop and a topic of one of the episodes. Thanks for watching. We also have two or three other Waltons related videos that I hope you enjoy. 😃♥️
May I suggest. Please remove that ouija board from the boys room. Nothing good comes from that. Don't mess with it. How about replacing it with a model airplane that Jim Bob built?
No you may not suggest it. Lol. You're not at all Waltons fans. The ouija board was used by the family in the episode A Ghost Story, a popular episode. Also, it's literally a decorative piece made to look sort of like a ouija since that is a real life GAME made by Hasbro and that is trademarked. That is not a Hasbro ouiji board. It's a craft piece made to look like it for decoration. Calm down and move on. Get over yourself. Are you a paying customer? Doubt it. So if you don't like it, don't go. Don't look. So NO you don't get to ask people you don't know to remove so etjkng in their place if business and no one should be indulging you or your comment! If I owned that place, I'd go get five more just to piss you off lol. 😊 You complain and pearl clutch over the silliest things. Guarantee the Baptist Walton family had far stronger faith than you people. I wonder if your families dress up and go trick or treating or if you think that's evil, too. Lol. I should know veter than to read comments. You ruin even the nicest videos. The decor in this B&B is gorgeous! Cool to see. Great idea for a business, too. The Waltons was about love, about accepting and understanding each other. It was about challenging each other when faced with tough issues in a changing world. You don't get to impose your personal and very contemporary beliefs into it. The Waltons is an iconic institution. It's pretty crazy how people romanticize it for things that it was not and didn't represent at all. Shameful, really. Nope. You don't get to dictate a Waltons themed house. Sorry.
@@asleepbydawn137 If you actually watch that episode, you will see that Olivia forbade her children to bring the ouija board into the house. She would not have it for the reason that it is evil. All your words above are meaningless.
Thanks for watching, fellow Waltons fan. Yes, lostssss of folks have commented to me about the Ouija board but of course I’m not affiliated with the house or its contents. 😉I will say that the reason the Ouija board is in the house is because it is a prop representing one of the shows where the children brought a Ouija board home from Ike’s store. You are correct that Olivia did not like having it in the house. Thanks so much for watching😃
I think Elizabeth's Raggly Ann doll is a lot creepier than that Ouija board will ever be. Doesn't anyone remember how creepy that episode was? It was the one about her slumber party for her 13th BD. Didn't the Ouija board save someone's life?
I love the Waltons and I was excited to come and stay there. But then when I saw the Ouija board, I changed my mind. Demonic spirits are nothing to play with. I won’t sleep in the house with that board.
I understand and perhaps those many folks who agree and have commented here regarding the board will contact the owner of the house. I will text her now to make her aware that folks might contact her. 😉
@@HeritageWaysKatie I saw that also and wouldn't stay there as long as it's in the house. This fall my mum, Aunt, and myself are going to drive up the eastern coast and all the way to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Anyway, I wanted to stay there for one night, but I'll have to find out if the Ouija board is still there.
All of these comments about a folded piece of cardboard, and they’d never set foot in the place. They aren’t true fans of the show if they can’t remember the children using one. How many of them would line up for an evening meet & greet with a taste of the recipe? They would all be feeling no pain as they made their way to their rooms.
Good point🥴😃 I have received sooooo many comments about that game board. I finally deleted as much of it out of this video as I could but it still remains. I am not even associated with the house but folks are demanding that I remove the board. 😬 Many folks have commented that the board "has nothing to do with the show". You are correct, not true fans. Thanks for watching. 👍🏽katie
Sorry I must respond. Olivia, in fact, demanded the children not bring the oujia board into the house. Olivia caught the children playing with the board in the barn. BTW John, it is true fans that love this family enough to know. Thanks.
This has been a topic of conversation for a while. Although we are not affiliated with the house or owner, you might refer to my other responses to this question. The owner chose this since it is prop from two Waltons episodes. Thanks for watching.
We understand and get this comment a lot. Of course, we have no affiliation with the house or its contents. We are just fans like you. The board was placed in the house as a throwback to the episode where the Walton kids brought one home from Ike's store. Thanks for watching our three Waltons-inspired videos and house tours. 😃
If you watched the show, you would know that John and Olivia would have NEVER countenanced a person like Donald Trump. The Waltons have a true Christian moral compass--thank God!

OMG I went back and saw it that would have been it for me I wouldn't stay there!! Those boards are nothing but evil!!!!
I did not see it!!!!!! Destroy it please!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You complain and pearl clutch over the silliest things.
It’s mementos.
It's lovely. But Olivia would NOT HAVE ALLOWED that Ouija board in her house.
@@howigotover798 ??
I think Elizabeth's Raggly Ann doll is a lot creepier than that Ouija board will ever be.
Doesn't anyone remember how creepy that episode was? It was the one about her slumber party for her 13th BD.
Didn't the Ouija board save someone's life?
This is a replica of the studio home...
Real house of Hamner. I've been inside.. putting the real family...
It was much much smaller...
You are correct. We have a video tour of the real Hamner home as well. Thanks for watching.
👌😏💯🥰
It's because there was a Ouija board on one of the shows of The waltons
I enjoy this video except that Ouija board.
Juan Sanchez thanks for watching👍🏽
Thanks.
You lost me with the Ouija board.
Angie Roberts thanks for watching our video. The kids used the Ouija board in one or two of the episodes so that is a prop at the bed-and-breakfast.
In the boys bedroom is a Ouija board. This would not be in the Waltons house!
This has been a topic of conversation for a while. Although we are not affiliated with the house or owner, you might refer to my other responses to this question. The owner chose this since it is prop from two Waltons episodes. Thanks for watching.
@@HeritageWaysKatie love your video, and the house, some people who comment are "know it alls"
Get that Ouija board out of there. They were Christians they would never have had that. Just sayin. Thank you for the video.
We understand and get this comment a lot. Of course, we have no affiliation with the house or its contents. We are just fans like you. The board was placed in the house as a throwback to the episode where the Walton kids brought one home from Ike's store. Thanks for watching our three Waltons-inspired videos and house tours. 😃
Yikes!! an ouija board, I wouldn't even stay there if they paid me.
The Walton’s show had an episode with the board, that’s all it means. Jesus Christ.
Get rid of it!!!!!!!!! Burn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Trump 2020
Jan Sharp 👍
If you watched the show, you would know that John and Olivia would have NEVER countenanced a person like Donald Trump. The Waltons have a true Christian moral compass--thank God!
Stiil Standiing dont you just love it when people think they can speak for other people 🤔 Like Olivia and John
@@howardmanley3388 Yep. It's called "projection". Peace.
Yuck
The kitchen faucet is no good. Sorry.
okey doke. I figure the owners did the best they could since it is an operational bed and breakfast. Thanks for watching our video. 😃
Your takeaway to all the amazing detail in this fabulous place is that the faucet is no good....🤦♀️ People like you are insufferable
Very nice
